If I could give ZERO stars I would!!!!!! I will NEVER go to that location ever again. I walk in, it smells like people who haven't showered, the lobby floor is dirty, and the people who work there are less than desirable to be around. The ONLY saving grace was the Phlebotomist. This woman has the patience of a saint! The women who work there would not answer her when she spoke to them and then they left her alone so they could go to lunch!!!! Extremely unprofessional! As I was leaving a woman waiting in the lobby was bothering the Phlebotomist with insurance questions because the office staff was nowhere to be found. I believe the Phlebotomist doesn't regularly work at that location so hopefully she won't ever have to deal with that BS ever again. So take my advice and steer clear of that place! I checked in as soon as I entered the facility. My wait time was only 10 minutes and they made me wait for 40 minutes. They started taking other patients who checked in later than me and that pissed me off. Moreover, the asian lady who was managing the lab was extremely rude to all the patients. She needs to learn hospitality. For the entire 40 minutes, I was very thirsty and they didn't have drinking water facility in their waiting area. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL LAB! I really had the worst experience here! I learnt a good lesson to just not trust any labs and to look into reviews online before going in future. I picked this lab considering its proximity to my home location for my second trimester blood draw. To begin with, if you want to call this location and talk to someone to ask any questions/clarifications, there is no way to do it. It always goes to the automated voice message. On the day of the appointment, they had to draw blood for my glucose testing with fasting and then with a sugar drink. The first time, the technician did not even read the order form from my doctor correctly. She told me I was done after drawing the fasting sugar and sent me off. After I drove few miles, I remembered my doctor saying there will be a test with the sugar drink and went back to the lab. I had to point out to them that they missed giving me the sugar drink and about the next tests. Only then they realized their mistake and gave me the sugar drink. The next day, I got a call from the technician that she did not draw enough blood and asked me to come again to give the blood test one more time. I asked multiple times the time I should come in and she kept saying "anytime from 7am". Since I am pregnant and did not want to wait for too long with fasting, I went to the lab at 7am. But the technician was very late that day and came in to work only after 7:45am making me wait for an hour. On top of this, her peers had no idea if she was even going to come in that day. They did not have any context on my case and mentioned the only option is for me to wait until she comes. Throughout all of these, the technician only gave half hearted apologies for so many of her mistakes. She was also extremely rude throughout. Every time I asked her simple questions, she would roll around her eyes, give a huge sigh as if I am asking her a huge favor and eventually come with a rude response. I have never been treated this way in any of the health centers/labs in the USA. Overall, a poorly run place that has unprofessional and incompetent people. read more

Update: a second example. My 79-year old disabled mother (was talking to her about the review I wrote, and she told me her own story) visited one day at 9 am. She is handicapped and walks slow as she had a knee surgery. had to walk the half mile from her home to the lab. She was fasting overnight for the lab test. She was 10 minutes late for her appointment. She had to stand in line, and by the time her turn came, it was 20 minutes after her appointment. They said she would have to wait for about 2 hours. Eventually, her turn cane at 1 pm!(!!!) And she had to wait that entire time on an empty stomach. Hearing this from her made me upset. This is so shameful. How are these guys in business? ============ This is absolutely the worst customer service ever. No exaggeration. They treat you like cattle. Show you no respect whatsoever. No sense of humanness. No kindness. Very cold. And this is the last thing you need when you go for labs or have medical issues. You will be made to feel as if you're a burden on these folks. And my experience is only with the receptionist. I never made it past her :-( read more

I made an appointment for my blood withdraw at 9:00 AM on Saturday. I came 15 minutes earlier my appointment and used my phone to sign in Quest system because I did not want to be late for my work at 10AM. I followed distance order and waited outside until my name or phone number was called. I received a test message from Quest 3 minutes before my appointment which asked me to return to the Patient Draw Center for my collection. I returned and had to wait there for another 25 minutes while the Quest staffs came out and called the names of other peoples who came after me. I stopped one staff and questioned why I was not called in at my slot time. She excused with her reason that Quest staff had to provide services for only 3 patients at a time, the other clients who came before my appointment, I need to be patient because she gave priority to the people who had walked-in service and she never gave me an apologize. She then ignored me and continuously took the other clients to the room . I waited there for another 10 minutes. Another staff came out and took more client in who just walked in 5 minutes before. I again stopped and asked her why I was left there. The previous staff who had replied me told her to take me in instead. I had blood withdraw with the second Quest staff who at least gave me an apology at the end of my appointment. For this blood withdraw appointment, I had to spend totally an hour because of unprofessional and very rude attitude of the Quest staff. I am also the healthcare provider and I know how much work and stress we have to deal with every day in the pandemic time. However, I can't accept the unprofessional customer service of the Quest staff in Milpitas location. I hope my review could bring the attention to the Quest Center in order to provide more training to their staffs and their service and to provide more efficient service to clients. read more

Came in to complete a pre-employment drug screening. I arrived around 2:40pm and I noticed a sign saying that the final screening is at 3:00pm. I let the technician know about the service needed and she said that it's past the cut off time for all drug screenings. Confused, I was ready to come back tomorrow but with a huff and a puff she took me to the back to start the process. It was 2:50pm by the this time and when all was complete it was 3:00pm. It literally took 10 minutes of her time. I told her that my understand was that 3pm was the cut off, but she didn't say much after. She went through the whole process eloquently and as friendly as she can be. I appreciated the thoroughness it takes for these screenings. I understand if maybe she had a stressful or long day but this was a simple walk in the park. 3 stars for the fast and painless service, but they should update their drug screening times to avoid any confusion. read more

Now am not surprised, after looking at all the other reviews. I was shocked (went there on 28 Aug 2017) at the way I was treated, it was easily bordering on racial discrimination, but do not want to go that far. The phone booking system for this facility doesn't work, you go through all the menu to pick this place and then it says "technical difficulty in booking". So I came in for drug screen test, signed in, sat for 40-50min. When the waiting room was almost empty (with just 2-3 people remaining who came after me), I went and asked for my turn. Right then, the lady at the front desk (don't know her name) took my sheet and started arranging for my test to be done. I was asked to take my seat again, and I politely asked her how much longer it would take. She immediately handed over my ID card and asked me to exit the facility saying that they won't do the test for me since I do not want to wait. This all happened when she was on a phone and she just answered me holding the call. My deadline to submit the screening was on the same day and I could not take more hours off my work time in search of another screening center at that time. I was shocked at the way I was treated and told her to be not soo rude with customers like this. Without a word (or apology) she went inside and I didn't have a chance to note her name. I called the company that ordered the drug screen and told about the situation. They asked for the person, but instead, Priscilla came forward and took the call, and immediately my test was done in 10min. I asked for the front desk person name and Priscilla was quick enough to say that she doesn't know who am talking about. I didn't want to take this any further but wanted to record this so that it can be a warning for others before using this facility. read more

I arrived here at 2:50pm. The staff didn't care to answer me at the time, but finally asked me what I needed 5 minutes later. They close at 4pm but stop drug testing at 3:00pm. Even though it wasn't 3:00pm yet, they just coldly told me it was too late and they wouldn't take care of it today. The attitudes are horrible, and they just say I have to come back the next day when I'm not even in the area the next day. There's a reason why this location gets only 1.5 stars on average. COVID-19 gave business even more of a reason to just not care. read more

Extremely rude and disrespectful staff. I have visited there multiple times just because of nearest location from my place, every time around an hour and a half wait. Above that, you have to keep watching receptionist rude behavior to other patients as well. One of the phlebotomists there didn't know how to draw blood. She poked my kid and silently went away I kept asking what happen and she doesn't even bother to reply nicely then I have to wait for different one. Quest Diagnostics really need to look into it and take action. I have been at Quest Mowry Fremont, CA they are very good and quick. This place really requires new staff and management. read more

I have to get a drug test done every year for work and I have to come to quest to do it. I dread coming here so much. Every time even if there are two or three people in front of me, I end up having to wait 2 hours on average just to pee in a cup. It's so frustrating. The lab technicians spend so long with patients and don't care about those who are waiting. I went to kaiser across the street for lab work, and with 5 people ahead of me, I was in and out of the building in five minutes flat. Why can't quest do that? Definitely do not recommend. read more

(we were both getting it) Was very skeptical of this place due to the reviews, but the front desk lady was nice, Prescilla, the lady who took our bloods, was also very nice. I wish I can give this place 0 stars. I came right at 9am for a walk-in drug screen and the kiosk prompted me to make an appt so I did for the first available at 1:40PM. The kiosk prompted me to come back at 1:40PM and I asked the employee at the front desk to make sure I come back at the right time. She advised me to come back around 1:30PM and make sure I'm ready for the screen. I waited back at home and came back around 1:30PM for them to tell me my appointment was at 1:30PM and that they called me at 1:16PM and 1:30PM and that I am now late and have to reschedule since they have no slots anymore for the day. Why did the kiosk and employee say my appointment was at 1:40PM then their system magically moved up my appointment without any notification??? While the lady in the morning at the front desk was very sweet, the older lady who called my name was very rude, unhelpful, and unaccommodating. What's the point of making an appointment and telling people to come back at a certain time when they don't honor that and move it without your knowledge!? I should have read and trusted the reviews here before going here. Came to this center the first time last week during lunch time and it was busy. No one was at the front desk. When a staff finally showed up, I asked how long the wait is, the staff said she didnt know because they're about to take a lunch break too and walked off. So I took off and decided to come back today in the morning hoping that it'll be fast. But again there's still a lot of people waiting. They're extremely slow and didn't seem to care. It took them 30mins to start register me in the system. This place is close to home. First, good thing is this place is clean and located in a convenient place. But a person there called Tien (I asked her for her name) was really unprofessional and rude. My appointment was at 8:30 but by the time I finished using the kiosk to check in, it was 8:36. Although my name was shown as the first person on the screen, I was not called for quite a while. After waiting patiently for half an hour, I saw Tien and asked her. She actually knew I was waiting all this time and told me because I was late to check in, I had to wait until they became free. No problem. I waited for another 15 minutes and saw Tien again, so I asked her how much longer she thinks I need to wait. This time she became rude and seemingly mad about my inquiry and kept implying that it was my fault and I deserved what happened. Let me suggest two things: 1) while I was waiting, I saw a few people struggled in using the check in kiosk (and I helped them). Certainly this can cause delay. It is not a problem to wait longer, but Tien could have been helpful and informed people what happened (because she knew people are waiting), instead of showing her unprofessional attitude that I should be punished. 2) my name was first on the screen all the time. If I need to wait, why don't you put a remark or put me in a waiting queue on the screen? This way I can tell what happened. By the way, there were two others with me at that time being treated unprofessionally by Tien. Also, a person waiting there told me he came yesterday and was treated badly as well. Quest is in a service business, so please study these and see what you can do better. read more

The receptionist (white girl - Monique/Anabelle?? - dont remember her name) was very rude and almost shouting/yelling - Firstly she was busy chatting with another employee even when I was waiting in queue in front of her. I had already signed up on the Sign up sheet but didn't see there was a separate column to fill Appointment time. Then she had a very bad/racist/condescending attitude when telling me "You need to fill appointment time on signup sheet!" - She could have been courteous/polite for patients who are new. I saw others filling in a form so asked her if there is something to fill - again the same condescending attitude - She handed me the form and as I started filling it - She was almost yelling repeatedly" YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN AND FILL THE FORM - YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN AND FILL THE FORM. WE HAVE PATIENT PRIVACY CONCERNS" - Agreed she was worried about patient privacy, but she needs to be polite/courteous towards Patients and can say the same thing in a polite manner. Quest Diagnostic Owners Please Note: We are giving Quest Businesss- Not the otherway around. The person drawing blood (older asian gentleman) was very polite and courteous on the other hand. Came down here to give blood sample for annual checkup. Appointment was taken earlier and online experience is good. Morning I showed up early and front desk collect my papers ontime. The appointment is suppose to check my height, weight, blood pressure and collect blood to do routine check-up. (1) They just put a number by see me for my height (2) They ask me to provide weight - whatever I can say. I ask them to check it. Then they ask me to move to different room to check my weight. (3) Blood Pressure - after back from weight measurement, time for it - Pressure monitor work VERY incorrectly. Within 1 minutes gap, it shows VERY different result. Though I am seating in same chair, same position. I wonder why they use an incorrect equipment. It seems they have only one equipment in entire location - they exchange once my pressure done to another person in next cabin/room. (4) Blood draw - they are suppose to collect one sample of blood. Very odd way he put the needle, it pain. Mostly it take 20-30 second to collect one sample blood - but for me, needle moved multiple times to collect blood as it is not coming right way, took more than 90 second. Very poor performance. Some other place(Palo Alto Medical Foundation), drawing blood very smoothly - I never feel pain at all. Very disappointing experience. read more

I came In for a drug test/urine , as I first entered, there was an older gentleman on the kiosk/iPad and I was waiting behind him for a few minutes. I arrived for my appointment on time and was in the building already. I didn't realize there was another kiosk/iPad available after a few minutes. I eventually went to that kiosk instead and I tried scanning my QR code but the iPad wasn't reading it, so it took up more time. And by the time I finished signing in on the iPad it was 8 minutes past my appointment time. The employee asked if I had an appointment and I stated yes that I did, and she went to the back and came out few minutes later just to tell me that I showed up late to my appointment, when I clearly was already inside the building waiting for my turn to sign in on the iPad. I told the employee that i was already here, but needed to wait in line to sign in. They told me they won't accept me anymore cause I was "late". A urine/drug test doesn't take that long to do. So that's really bad service on their end and I recommend to not come to this place. I ended up going to a different place to get my drug test, and I was in and out the door within 5 minutes. read more

I came in for a generic physical exam to qualify for insurance. Location was hard to find (it's in an obscure corner next to Giorgio's), and ended up arriving 7 minutes late. Only one other lady was in the waiting room and the office was pretty much dead quiet and empty. Of course, I apologized for my tardiness, but what blew my mind was what she said next--"We don't like to take patients more than 15 minutes late, but today I guess we'll make an exception..." Um, excuse me? I was 7 minutes late, NOT 15! The bloody clock on the wall and my cell phone confirmed that! Well, whatever. Something along the lines of a sarcastic "thanks for your generosity" may have slipped out. Anyway, the rest of the session went alright--no problems with the blood draw or blood pressure reading. I was surprised they didn't weigh me or measure my height? They just asked me what I thought it was and accepted that... If your company recommends several diagnostic centers, maybe try one of the other ones first. read more

We came in for a test for my mother who had just gone through surgery and was on a travelers insurance. The lady managing the desk was beyond rude! I am amazed how the staff talks to the patients. The most qualified doctors have been so polite and yet the staff at this lab almost yelled at my sister when all she did was try to ask a question about the insurance requirements.........I would never ever recommend this place to anyone especially not voluntarily. read more

If there was a zero, I would do that really. They cannot follow simple instructions and are very careless about their job. - The first time I went, I had two different prescriptions from two different doctors for different blood test. Since they did both at the same time, they missed doing 3 of the 7 tests for one of the doctor and ended up sending the wrong report to the respective doctor. - I went back to them with the prescription and the tests done to show they missed 3. They insisted I now have to get a new prescription though it was their fault that they missed. I had the doctor fax the prescription again and went through the blood test - They messes up AGAIN!!! I had to go back a third time as now they sent the lab reports not to the doctor who prescribed but to my first doctor!!! While insisting on the prescription a second time they did not send it to the doctor who prescribed it!!!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE place and Highly NEGLIGENT!!!!! read more

Go somewhere else!! Lady at front desk has a very bad attitude - no customer service mentality nor any level of respect for patients. While I was there two other patients also experienced the following: Lady was asked for her credit card so they can place a hold to cover her deductible -- until insurance cleared. Receptionist said it is the new policy because the are eliminating billing. The lady was not comfortable with that and asked why they change the policy and for an exception to be made. After more nonsense from the receptionist she finally gave in and agreed to bill her. Man comes up next and does not yet have his insurance card. Says he's willing to pay for services. Two problems are encountered: 1. The receptionist has trouble finding him in the system. She exclaims it was a long time again that he had been there (~1 year).... She explained they had changed their system three times in the last year! 2. The man asked for the discounted (negotiated rate) that insurance would pay and the lady said that was not possible.. Either this particular location has a bad apple at the front desk, or Quest policies and practices represent "worst in class" for customer service -- perhaps both? Bottom line, please go somewhere else and put these people out of business. My experiences with MuirLabs represent benchmark. read more

Hour and a half wait for five minute blood draw. Receptionist went on break with twelve people waiting and more coming in, so one tech had to cover desk and draw blood. One of two techs went on break with 17 people in waiting area. Literally saw three people fall asleep while waiting. Cell phone batteries went dead from people playing games for so long. Bring an interesting book and take the day off from work when you come. Workers were nice, I blame Poor management, worse than Comcast, which is coincidentally in the same center. Maybe it is some kind of weird "worst of" contest goin' on between Comcast and Quest. So far, Quest leads by a nose. read more

Worst quest laboratory there is, went in on a Friday afternoon with an appointment. Didn't get seen 45 past my appointment time. While waiting the clinics manager was in and after witnessing her attitude towards the patients it's a no brainer as to why this is a one star rated clinic. How can the employees be kind and professional towards patients when their own boss can't even do it. The manager is a short Spanish lady. She was wearing heels the day I went. She is beyond rude and unprofessional. Not only does she speak disrespectfully and belittles her employees she also does it to us patients. There were patients there who English was not their first language and she had absolutely no patience to help them check in when they asked her for help. She spoke to me as if I was a child and clueless as to why I was there. Quest needs a lot of work. I don't see anything changing anytime soon. But here's a tip..you need to start with management. I will absolutely never be returning to quest for lab work again. read more
