This is for my most recent visit only, because I have definitely had less stellar visits before, and I've even seen staff yelling at customers. I've personally never had that happen, and my most recent visit was great. Scheduled my appointment in advance online. Checked in on the kiosk. There were probably 20 other people there, but since I had an appointment, I was 4th in line. Got called within 5 minutes. Stephanie was very polite and professional, even making friendly conversation. Got my blood drawn and was done in maybe 10 minutes total. read more

I would only recommend this place if the people who are drawing blood, the phlebotomist wouldn't be so rude. They talk to you like you're stupid instead of talking to you with compassion. They need to change their attitude really bad badly. Had a terrible experience with Lupita. This is not my first negative experience with her but the second. I went in for a glucose tolerance test, she was not at all friendly. She instructed me to come back in an hour. Mind you at this place there is a locked door to get to the back and no front desk (with a sign that says to wait for an associate to let you in) so you have to wait for a worker to open the door to head back. When a worker finally came a little after 8:10 I asked to go back to her as instructed when I got there she said I was late and supposed to be a minute early but she did not come ope the door for me knowing I was waiting at the chair right by the door when she got her last patient. So far all other associates there are nice and I've had no issues only with Lupita. She's rude and doesn't seem to like her job very much read more

Sadly the reviews are accurate! Got a large bruise from the needle but at least she found my vein in 1 go! My review is more on the staff, place is clean and automated checkin was seamless. But staff were super miserable! They definitely don't like their jobs or that location, could be a management thing? Guy next door had to ask if he was done because Asian lady with long hair didn't even tell him it was over. He kept thanking her and wishing her a good day and she barely responded! Beware Quest will not work with you the patient to get proper billing codes from your doctor, instead they will just bill you if insurance doesn't pay due to improper codes. When I called they told me they don't get involved with that and I owed over 400 dollars which I had to pay because they weren't willing to help me get the right codes. Other labs run them through insurance first then inform you that they don't have the correct codes before they draw the blood. Never again! read more

However, the result still hasn't uploaded after waiting for another day. The call number doesn't work either. I suspect that it may take more than a week to upload the report! I have been coming to this place for years. As long as you plan AHEAD and have appointment booked: They are super efficient. They are also cost efficient if you have any co pay. Lately my doctor ordered a recurring blood work. Most of the workers who attended to me are not too happy with this. One of them even cancelled my appointment while I was waiting saying that they saw nothing in the system and only attended to me when I showed my paper documents. Some even sent me home telling me they saw nothing. Today I am attended by Leonard. He is not a super friendly person but he took his time to process my paper document and entered all the recurring orders into the database. I no longer needing to show proof of the paper documents. I am very impressed by his willingness to do this instead of giving me hassle to 1) cancel my appointment or 2) asking why my doctor cannot do load the orders into Quest system and etc. Quest lab needs more employees like Leonard. Looking for lab services near me. Lab Corp moved locations and so I found Quest Diagnostics near me. I found them through an online search of the area. Easy to find, located in Milpitas Towne Center. Lots of parking. The lab is located on the backside of Giorgio's Italian restaurant. As you walk-in all you need to do is check-in on a kiosk which takes your personal and insurance info. Have your ID and insurance card ready. I didn't have an appointment, I walked in for my services today since my provider was able to send the order electronically. I was called in right away and I was in and out of there in 5 mins, so fast and easy. The lab tech was nice and the lab itself was pretty clean and neat, good size waiting area too. This was an exceptional experience for me. It was quick and convenient, so I will definitely come back here, if I need their services again. read more

When booking an appointment, you need to be able to select a date and time and they also let you know if it's available or not. Sadly they didn't have anything for the day I was coming in but it wasn't until I decided to take the risk and decided to walk in for the appointment and they were able to take me in. The person who did my testing was really friendly yet straightforward in terms of what to do for the blood test. She was able to answer any questions I had. I'd say that I would come to this location if she was working but sadly I never got her name though :( read more

I've been here a couple times for a drug screening for work. The last time I came I didn't get to make an appointment as their website told me this location had no appointments. Also the times listed on the website were all wrong. So I ended up calling into the office and I was able to clarify a lot of information. I would hope Quest Diagnostic would have a better system to ensure correct information is presented on their website. Since I didn't have an appointment, I opted to go in for a "walk-in" appointment. They had a kiosk set up in the back right corner of the room which led to a lot of confusion for others who came in after me. I ended up having to direct people to the right kiosk or how to register when you arrive as their instructions seem to not be clear to everyone who came in. I was lucky. I didn't wait too long. The technician was really nice to me and very personable. She also answered all my questions in regards to taking a drug urine test. Apparently you shouldn't take a urine test when on your period. You also shouldn't down a bunch of water before hand as it might super dilute your test and they'll have to make you take the test again after it gets analyzed. I was pee shy when she called my name and she's like, well, go outside, take a little bit of time and when you're ready, grab me. That was really nice of her to keep me calm and acknowledge that it happens to everyone! I think folks coming in become really impatient or frustrated, but I think as long as you ensure you have plenty of time and don't rush yourself through it, then you'll have a pretty good experience. I've had two good experiences here and won't mind taking another test in the future if needed. read more

The employee attitude is so bad. I don't know her name, a Filipino mid age lady. Today, She ran my insurance before starting blood test process, it turned out I have to pay $75. I asked her to check my second insurance, she keep whining that why I didn't tell her at the beginning (last time I check with them and they said the don't accept my second insurance, this is why I didn't give to her at the beginning, I explained to her) but she keep whining). It turned out they accept my second insurance now but the copay is even higher than my first insurance. I told her ok to use my first insurance. She showed attitude, slamming things on me, even the paper, pen and the urine container, the drawer. Checking insurance for patient is your job and of course every body wants to save $. Why she keeps whining and slamming things on me why doing her job. I came here to give her job, not to take away anything from her. Come on, be more professional. I never go back nor recommend anyone to this location. Managers, you should give your employees more behavior /attitude training. Probably this is one of the reason why this location is currently rated 1.7. read more

Fortunately, I have never had a problem with this site. I scheduled it online. I arrived at my appointment 10 minutes early (as instructed). I used the touch screen computer to check-in. During my check-in, an attendant came out and told everyone in the lobby that if they are a walk-in, it could "be awhile". but since I had an appointment, and I am EARLY. I was taken at my appointment time. The nurse was patient with me and straight forward. While she felt the "pressure" of the number of people waiting, she did a great job drawing my blood. I was out in 10 minutes after my appointment time. So I suggest an appointment and that you show up 10 minutes early. read more

Worst experience. Waited 25 minutes after I was called in so the tech can check her own personal notes because she couldn't understand the script from the doctor. Then tells me to go over there and grab a cup to urinate into. Ok, back waiting again. Then she tells me to sit in the chair. Tightens the band around my arm and is feeling for a vein. Make a fist she says and she sticks the needle into the side of my arm not the center where the vein is. Then she is hoping for a blood flow and says" That's Scary" What?? Pre covid Era review I had in drafts & forgot to publish: Person who took my blood Jan 2020 after poking moved needle left and right said my vein rollled and couldnt get blood out. Be it my arm was poked and the needle movement wasn't a walk in the park. After enough "searching" i told her please try the other side. Came back a different time and was surprised my experience was better during covid Era for my kids. So overall when you come for sure make an appt & I hope you get a great plembogomist & the "searching" worker is hopefully gone. read more

Very unprofessional. Lady didn't clean the part of my arm she stuck with the needle. Forcing me to wash the area later at home and hoping now I won't contract a bacterial infection. Couldn't even put my bandage on correctly and didn't bother to tape it correctly so the bandage was left hanging off of my arm. I even asked her to fix it but she just ignored me and shrugged her shoulders. Also, she didn't input my insurance information in the system correctly and didn't bother to ask me about it. I asked her if my insurance went through (after noticing it wasn't found in the system) and she lied telling me it did even though I saw on her computer screen it said my insurance was ineligible. She also didn't even bother to flip my insurance card over to the back to see what state my insurance coverage belongs to and she just assumed it was California when it was not. Now I am worried that I am going to get a crazy high bill now for all this blood and urine work. Just unbelievable... Refuse to come here again. read more

I explained that the offered appointment time did not work for me and that I preferred to wait as a walk-in. I confirmed with the representative that I would be taken as the next available. The representative stated yes. However, after several minutes, I noticed that my name was removed from the standby list without any notification from the staff. I requested to speak with a supervisor, who said, "We don't take walk-ins here." This unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. They were going to have me waiting in the waiting room without informing me. Quest has gone downhill significantly. It even states on the TV prompter and on the automated phone service that walk ins are accepted. read more

This place is horrible! The employees are rude, unorganized, and unprofessional. I had a noon appointment. At 12:15 I questioned why I had not been seen. I was told the employee I need to see is on lunch & I should just wait. Shortly after I was called back. While there I witness improper use of gloves. Gloves were worn while handling samples, but weren't removed when entering information in the computer or using the signature pad. Then nothing was sanitized after use! Disgusting!!! I had to take a drug test for my school and the technician/phlebotomist who helped me was so sweet. I forgot her name (I'm horrible with names) but she had blonde hair and tattoos. She was fast and efficient and very nice. I would recommend going here! Also, I was seen a little earlier then my appointment time and the whole test took maybe 10 mins. I've been going to the Quest lab in Safeway, in Hollister, for over 10 years now. I always had a satisfactory experience before now. The young male technician who now works there is so incompetent I wasn't able to get my tests completed. He didn't know where the supplies were kept, he gave me the envelope for a colon test, and told me to mail it myself. When I started filling out the paperwork, I found that Quest had a section to fill out. I went back and talked to another technician who said that the first tech was supposed to give me a computer printout, which he never did. I had to go back a third time to talk with the male tech and he argued with me saying it was my fault saying that I had the prescription from my doctor, then admitting that I gave it to him. He refused to give me a printout and expected me to go back to my doctor. Why they hired an incompetent person for such an important job is beyond my understanding read more

This is a most racist location. They treat differently based on your nationality or skin color, if you are white or Asian they treat with respect and if you happen to be Indian then godless you. I have already escalated this issue to their higher management by calling online and registering a complaint with a manager about the rude staff. I am not a here for free lab work but I do pay my insurance and copays. For lab work we were late by 2 mins for our appointment still were not allowed to check in before asking about appointment staff was not at all friendly and also were rude , though their own notice on door says the customer could be late by only 5 mins or else book a new appointment, fair enough. In our case we were only 2 mins late still not allowed to check in when tried to show them your notice says 5 mins but we are 2 mins late, then staff said we are allowing you this time only, for what ???? being 2 mins late give me break don't make rules and break it by yourself. I would never recommend any of the quest Locations and especially this location , better go for Labcorp, way better in customer relations and prices. I stopped going to quest diagnostics since then and stop by Labcorp who are also nearby and we don't have to waste time. read more

0 star rating if its possible. This is the rudest health care that i ever visit. I was late 9 mnts above my appointment because of I cannot find the place and drive around few times. The log in process takes 2 mnts. No one in the front desk to explain anything. I was waiting until almost 15 minutes until i realize they call another guy that came after me. I ask them why and they show me my log in time in a very rude way. No apologize no nothing. They say this 5 minutes after the appointment time policy was sent in the email and i check my email doesn't say anything at all. I wish i have seen their review before picking this place.
