You CANNOT get a human being on the phone at this location. I had a simple insurance question and wasted half an hour trying to navigate around their awful automated menu, with no options to speak to an actual person. Hitting zero just restarts the stupid menu endless times. I wound up calling their national customer service line and actually got a person on the line. Looking at the terrible reviews for this location, I'm not surprised. read more

Quest Diagnostics - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Middletown, Delaware

I've been using this Quest for years. I went in mid-day to get a very quick lab slip done, and was the only one in the waiting room. When I arrived I could very clearly hear the staff joking around and swearing in the back of the office, which wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't been waiting for so long. I waited ten minutes before anyone even came out to see me. The phlebotomist led me back into the room and proceeded with the paperwork, then looks at my lap slip and proceeds to ask me, (the patient, not a doctor) what the doctors notes mean on the lab slip and what they wanted tested. I told them I had no idea and he disappeared to ask his coworkers, who were all laughing very loudly and being quite disruptive in the back room. They came back into the room looking unsure but proceeded to go ahead with the bloodwork anyway. I've been going to this quest for years and never had a problem until now, such terrible customer service today. I was very disappointed. read more

Had an extremely unpleasant and unprovoked experience with the Phlebotomist in suite 101 who does bloodwork for the primary office Middletown Family Care office, in the same building. I was walking towards the back to her office and I hear, "oh I just had to get patient now." Initially, I was a bit stunned, stood by the office door and smiled bc I didn't know how to react when I heard her. It was kinda funny to me I guess bc I had heard it? Whatever it was...it just made me smile, short of a laugh. She looks at me as if I was intruding on her break and asks, " you here for labs?" I said, "yes"... Still smiling and I think it was out of awkwardness bc of her attitude. So she tells me to wait bc she is on phone with IT. I say ok...but i was on my lunch break so I cant wait long. So i go back to door and tell her I know IT can take a while and I can come back another time. At this point she tells me still with the attitude that she has already been with IT for awhile. Told her Im on break....i believe she tells me I can do whatever I want....honestly i cant remember verbatim what she said but it did trigger me and I suddenly grew angry and i remember looking at her like she was nuts for talking to me the way she was. I simply but angrily told her Ill go somewhere else. She tells me to scratch my name off the sign on board...then says nevermind and she will do it. And that was it. On my way out I ran into a family practice staff member who was very nice and apologized on behalf of the crazy lady for the incident. She directed me to another lab...i get there upset, was late into my lunch break as well...so ended not even getting labs done. I went to this lab lady last year...or it might have been earlier this year. She was very pleasant then. She needs to retire if she is unable to keep her emotions to herself. I don't care if youre having a bad day. Not my fault or my problem. I went home, cancelled my upcoming doctors appt and made an appt with Cchs primary care. I know she doesn't represent Middletown Family Care...but as long as she associated with that office, Im out. Wish I had asked for her name....it would be posted right here. I also called I guess it was corporate to submit a complaint. Woman, you need to retire. I fear for the next patient who happens to catch you at a bad time. read more

total mess! Opened late, not ready for patients when they did open, one employee was late and they were short another, the third employee could not sign in. They had not concern for the patients or apologized for the mess. They were very slow at doing their job. It took over an hour and a half and I was the second person to sign in. Go anywhere else but avoid the Middletown De. office at all cost. read more
