I like that the Quest website is user friendly. I can easily see available appointments across their many locations, book an appointment, and quickly view my results when they are ready. The results also include easy to understand information so I know what they mean. Pro tip: drink water before you come in to help plump up your veins. My doctor does not draw blood in the office, and at this point I have been to multiple Quest locations all over Broward County. The Margate Quest was a little harder to find than the other locations I have visited. It is a very small office located in a medical office building next to Northwest Hospital. The morning of my appointment, I received a link to check in when I arrived, but the link didn't work. I kept trying it over and over, and it still wouldn't work. I went inside to check in, but it was very busy and only one of the kiosks was working. By the time I was able to check in, the screen informed me that I was 10 minutes past my appointment time and had to make a new appointment. This was so frustrating. The next appointment time was not for another hour. I finally got everything straightened out, but I wasted a lot of time, and there was no one I could speak to at Quest since employees only came out sporadically to take people back. I tried calling Quest, but the wait time to speak to someone was 20 minutes, and the call kept dropping. I was finally taken back, and my phlebotomist was Maria. She was very gentle and made the rest of my experience the best it could be. I usually bruise, and there wasn't even a mark this time. This has been my go to lab when I need a blood draw. I usually schedule an appointment online for the morning which makes the process go quicker . The check in process has been easy and they show your name on the screen so you know when your turn is coming up . I'm not always the best with blood draws so I mention to techs and I am able to use a room that has a reclining seat .i have always been treated with kindness and patience here. read more

My appt. was at 6:00 am, Still dark, Bad lighting, No signage, difficult to find. The staff were "chippy". Not courteous or professional, but loud banter in the halls between staff. My tech. did a decent job drawing blood, but did not give me clear instructions on where she wanted me to sit, which arm she was going to use, not explaining what was going to happen. read more

I admit, I was scared to come here because of the reviews, but my doctor sent me here to have my blood drawn. So that's what I did. I set an appointment for 10:45 AM. I can say that I was called back at 10:50 AM and would say I was out of there at approximately 10:55 AM. So with all that being said, I feel like my appointment was really efficient. Even if an appointment is scheduled waiting times are very long. I waited for two hrs. Then the customer care is extremely poor at the Margate Florida site. The instruction for the stool samples were not given correctly and the wrong tests recipients were suministre. No written instructions were provided. I had to do the test twice. This site is very poorly managed. Customer care classes are required by all personal. And the front door needs oil or needs to be properly installed. The screeching sound is very loud. read more

I had an appointment here for a quick sample drop-off. While I was taken in quickly, the experience was disappointing. The nurse who assisted me had her AirPods in and was clearly on a personal call the entire time. She didn't greet me or acknowledge me in any professional manner. I was able to make an appt for 1pm at 12:25pm same day on the app. Was taken in at 1:10pm by Patricia. She was very welcoming and warm! We went inside, she proceeded to pull me up in the quest computer& the system went down. She tried different computers to see if she could pull up my paperwork, all other computers were down. It took about 10 minutes for the computer to restart, all the while she was apologizing about keeping me waiting, so refreshing to hear an apology even though it's definitely not her fault that the computer went down. Once the computer came up, blood draw & payment of my previous balance was completed in 2 minutes! Absolutely wonderful. People complain about the service need to realize that Quest has changed everything. They are not having an extra staff member to great you & an answer your questions. The lab technicians are timed & expected to see a certain amount of patients an hour. This of course causes patient issues. Do yourself a favor, schedule on the application, show up 10 minutes early for your appointment & all will be well. I got blood drawn today. As much as I didn't want to come here with a bad review, I had to! Let me be clear, the young lady was super nice. However, what did it for me was. She came to the waiting room and called my name (she had gloves on when she opened the door to the waiting room), with Those same filthy gloves, she took my paper work, entered the information in the computer, took my payment, grab the tubes to collect the blood, needle looked new but I didn't see it come out of a sealed package, she proceeded to take my blood!!!!! Now, I know they handle blood, urine specimen, and bowel specimen on a regular, how are we protected???? I'm going to have to report this Quest, I'm sure all employees would have taken a test on how to handle blood and specimen or they should have!? I'm sure our results are contaminated by the time it gets to the lab, I'm appalled!!!!! Someone please explain how this happened and why are we being treated that way????? read more

This quest location in Margate is far superior to any other location I have been to!!! My previous experience at a DIFFERENT location was a nightmare, I had left quest with 6 different needle pokes, no blood brawn, no bandaids, and about to faint. This location in Margate was much smaller with less people waiting which I liked, the staff was friendlier, and Donna worked her magic and was able to poke me only once and get my blood so easy!! I had two appointments different locations and I got confused with the time I went there, I tried to scanned my appointment but the system did not recognize my barcode and 5-7 minutes after tried it say "you appointment is late 10 minutes " I tried to explain them but they told me that just signed as by walk and wait .Las time I walked by and I was waiting 3 hours and they were busy that's why I made and appointment but unfortunately again couldn't do my lab test. Staff is extremely rude and acts as if the parents waiting on them are an inconvenience to there chit chatting in the back. FYI we all hear you speaking clearly about how you feel about the patients waiting on you. Very rude and unprofessional!!!! You have a kiosk and an older gentlemen needed help banged on door and no one answer so a patient helped him and then u come out to call her but she said she was just helping him check in and you Ridley said well then we'll put you back in que?! I was taken inside in a timely manner and the phlebotomist looks at me and says "three." She repeats "three" a 2nd time. I am still staring at her. Then she says "go to room 3." I explained that I hadn't been there for awhile (she said "that is obvious"). I later explained that I was hearing impaired and it takes me longer to process material. Wouldn't it have been nicer if she had greeted me and explained the process? She could have said "hello, my name is ___ and I will be doing your test today. Could not believe that the nurse taking my blood was simultaneously on the phone while there was a needle in my arm.

Such a great experience. I checked in early for my appointment via the text link sent to my phone for my appointment. I'm just floored by the efficiency these ladies have because before I was even seated in the well spaced waiting room, where I was greeted at the door by one of the nurses, the phlebotomists was already calling me in. I really wish I had caught her name because she was really sweet and set my mind at ease about all these prenatal tests I'm getting. To top it all off I didn't even feel it when she poked me. What a professional! I ended up leaving (as in driving away) at the time my appointment was set. Definitely going to recommend this place to everyone and of course coming back myself. Start off with a very crappy automated reservation system. Then when I go in for appointment, where I was told it would be just a quick pickup of a sample kit, the waiting room was packed. No one at the reception desk, just a electronic sign-in pad. Initially it told me a 5 minute wait, since I had an appointment. 10 minutes later, the wait time switched to 25 minutes. No one ever came to the reception desk or served any patients while I was there. I had to get to work so I left. read more
