Apparently I was supposed to get a confirmation number and i didn't so now I have to walk in and that could be hours.

Worse place to go. Workers there are not helpful. They are always late. Been there 3 times. The place looks dirty and all of those 3 times I couldn't get the lab test done because they were running super late no one was able to help and I end up leaving because I couldn't wait. They offer Saturday appointments!!! Big parking lot across the street, super friendly staff that was getting patients in n out in such a timely manner. My phlebotomist was FRANK F. I have a special needs daughter that was super anxious non verbal and has behaviors and he was super amazing. Very gentle, caring and compassionate. He was understanding that she was going to be a difficult draw but he was just reassuring to her. Thank you so much frank for your excellent bedside manners. read more

I had a pretty smooth experience! I just got new insurance and requested labs during my first doctor's appointment on a Monday. Right after on the same day, I walked in to thankfully a semi-empty lobby (3 other ppl). I checked in on the tablet and tried to outsmart the system (made a later appt AND waited in lobby to see if they can take me earlier). When the tech poked her head out (Saray Camacho), she addressed those who were waiting to make sure the queue list was accurate. She identified some discrepancies right away and assisted a couple of people with checking in. Then I came up. My appointment was for 320pm, and it was 215pm, lobby empty. I asked if I could be seen earlier, and I could tell she really wanted to say yes, but their protocol is to only see patient's during their appointment time. The manager was present, and decided to make an exception for me this one time. Saray was funny, down to earth, and made getting blood drawn a comfortable task. No stars. I have to have a test done that requires 8 hours of fasting. Made an appointment for 12:40 - struggled with parking downtown only to get into the facility and they have no record of my appointment. There's no one to talk to - they just have a tablet check--in so no one to help. Very frustrating and have asked my doctor if there are other testing facility options available. read more

Got some blood work done for a treatment I want to do and they didn't have the tuberculosis test. So now I have to go get tested again somewhere else. I've never had this issue at any other location. I even tried calling before to make sure they have the test available -- 30 minutes and 20+ phone trees later with no answer. Garbage patient support with no real way to reach the actual lab. Also I forgot my mask because well, it's almost the end of 2022. They didn't have any extras, were super rude about it, and made me walk home to get a mask, then come back. I waited for a short period and received excellent care from Heidi, a great phlebotomist! The team has to deal with a population that's not tech savvy. It would be faster if they replaced the kiosk with both machine for the younger pups who get it and a human for those who don't. The check in was quick, if you can do on kiosk. They have one staff checking in and two kiosk machines. The kiosk takes a picture of you ID and insurance and you can check in with QR code or phone number. If you have an appointment you just wait few minutes to be called if you do not you are put on waiting list. I needed to leave a urine sample, the restroom had no soap, no paper towels. The metal box to leave urine looked old and the door was not secure. Inside the metal box was a urine sample, who knows how long it had been sitting there since right before I went in restroom a staff was getting out. The staff should have know their was no more soap and restock. Going inside the restroom felt like if I was using a public restroom and did not feel I was at a private clinic restroom. Leaving my urine sitting there made me wonder how long mine will be there and I felt insecure as it had my name on it. The place looks busy and some patients seem lost because their signs are not in Spanish (many Spanish speaking patients come here). I did witness a staff who came out and helped the patients who wanted to check in kiosk. The nurse that help me call me by my first name then took me too small room to check in and verified my information. My visit took about 20minutes. So I was very satisfied with time. I was satisfied with how quick my doctor received my results (next day). Overall it was an okay experience but I hope they read this review and restock the restroom supplies. read more

This location was very lovely, check in was very easy with the kiosk if you are up to date with tech it sure will be easy. It's important to be on time and have your documents ready because they are very punctual about those things which I think is great because it does not create a chaotic environment. You will be seen at the exact time your appointment is scheduled which I think is great so you won't waste time. When you go inside the workers are very nice. They instruct you on what they are going to do and not surprise you. Very gentle as well and double check with you before sending your tests in. Recommend this location. I've been here a couple times to do my blood work and recently allergy test and although I hate going to labs, the people here are good. I suggest making an appt. before so you don't have to wait a mysterious amount of time. Also this lab is smaller than the one located in downtown Good Samaritan Hospital. The lady working in the front, who also draws my blood, is really cordial and professional. I like that. I just don't like this whole system. People here are disgustingly rude thinking that just because Ofcourse we have to understand they are front line responders they can treat people the way they want to. First I am a nurse and I would never treat my patients that way. The receptionist was having a jolly time in a personal cal and gave me the finger to wait. Best place I always go as a walking in but usually I'm in & out of there in less than 30 minutes, but this time I decided to make an Appointment and it's the best decision I ever made I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes I was so in shock Maria was able to find my veins and with no pain she was able to Get my blood samples. I am very grateful for the staff being so friendly I get a lot of anxiety When it comes to lab work I have a big fear of needles but this place has a well welcoming atmosphere that eases my anxiety. read more

Im only giving two stars because i got in and out fast. First let me start by saying that the parking here completely sucks you literally have to either pay a ton to park in the parking garage or do you have to walk forever in a not so safe neighborhood to get to the building. On this particular day it was raining so I was partially wet when I get to my appointment 10 minutes early and they tell me that I can't be seen without a mask. Mind you I work in the medical field and in our office we no longer require mask However I understand that they are required at some places. So I kindly asked the lady do you have a mask and she tells me no we don't have any. At this point my thoughts are well how are you acquiring your clientele to wear mask yet you don't offer them to any, not everybody brings mask with them anymore as it is 2023. She then tells me I can go to the front and see if they will offer me a mask. So I go to the front and ask the security if they have an extra mask and they say no they don't there are other medical assistance at the front door where I can clearly see that they have boxes of mask and I ask them if they can just spare one mask again they tell me no it's only for their patients I to explain to them that I understand but I would really appreciate it if they could just give me one mask and they again tell me no. so I now have to walk back in the rain to my car to hopefully find a mask if not reschedule. This is completely ridiculous and where is the customer service I mean like I said I work in the medical field and I understand that people don't carry mask anymore so it would be nice if you require it at your office to offer them to your clients. Luckily I found a little security guard outside who had a little shop who I kindly asked if I can please get a mask from him which he Thankfully said no problem and was the nicest person that I talked to in that entire building. I then walked back in and the lady then says to me so you found a mask which I don't not reply to her because obviously I have a mask and you see one on my face. As I'm trying to check into my appointment the machine says I have no appointment which I obviously do because I have a confirmation in my text messages so the lady tells me oh well you can just be seen at the next appointment slot which luckily was only five minutes after my appointment. I was able to get in only five minutes after my appointment time and was in and out of there very quickly which is the only reason I am giving this review to stars. I have worked in the medical field for seven years now and I just feel like nowadays people are just going to it for the money or just to have a job nobody really has customer service and this place is completely one of those places. You can tell the girls obviously don't care about their clientele all they care about is getting in and getting out by five it's completely ridiculous and I will not be coming back to this location read more

I had blood work done in my regular Clinic which took three medical assistants and none of them were able to find a vein, I was poked more than four time and it was very painful. So they offered me to go to a lab,which I was mad I didn't know I have that option.when I went I was super nervous but the phlebotomist Adriana was amazing it took her seconds to find a vein and was able to draw my blood with no pain at all.I am never letting a medical assistant take my blood,I am going to stick with the professionals. Came here today after a horrible experience at the Prairie location. I did not have an appointment. I arrived just before they opened at 7am and there were already six people ahead of me. The staff was great and within 30 minutes I was on my way home. On my way out I counted at least 20 people in the waiting room, so arriving early is a plus for those tight on time. read more

I didn't have an appt and I showed up before they opened and there were already 15 people waiting in line for them to open so I thought I made a huge mistake coming when they open. Actually it was fairly quick and I was in and out in no time. The location is across the street from California Hospital so it's kind of in the hood although I walked there because I live in the hood too. LOL! Got here at 7:10am on Saturday, at the end of the month. The time and day is relevant because it was already busy 10mins since it had opened! There were at least 15 people signed in as a walk-in by then! But outside there were plenty of metered parking that takes card. Parking meter starts at 8am. The wait for me was 50mins because I was a walk-in. But it was a Saturday and it was the last day of the month, so that could have been why. I came here 06/16/2021 to get blood work done and today I needed a copy of my results to give to a MD, long story short and without no appointment Jaime helped me out and got me the info I needed while checking in other patients who had appointments while also talking on the phone to other doctors to get my info. He was very calm the whole time his customer service skills are A+. Like If I had big money then I would have definitely tipped him big cause I needed that paper work bad and I know that any other worker would have been like oh no sorry I can't do it but he said none of that he said let me see what I could do and he did. They have been billing me dozens of bills for different amounts for the same one test. This test was supposed to be covered by my insurance, after months of arguing I end up paying $116 just to make it go away. I got this test done August 11, 2017 and I just received a letter from collections for another random amount for the same test TODAY. Absolutely terrible company. read more

I came here today to get a glucose tolerance test and a urine culture for my pregnancy. I didn't have an appointment they were pretty fast but the front desk lady was so damn rude. She snatched the drink she gave me from my hand and she slammed my insurance card on the table, she had a nasty attitude and was saying very personal things about other patients lab work/tests. She was also gossiping about patients to the other works. Aside from that, they have cockroaches on their walls! I had used this Quest Lab on Grand Street last year and my experience was professional without incident. However, this time it was a nightmare. I always make an appointment. I arrived and had short wait and when I was called in for my blood work the tech started complaining that they had so much to do and they were so busy and that Quest should provide more assistance for them. She was very rushed. Let me begin by saying that I don't bruise or have any issues with blood tests. I usually can't feel them inserting the needle. The phlebotomist doesn't have me rest my arm on that plastic support--she just had me dangle my arm down in front of me...and she inserts the needle. OMG--did that hurt and the burning sensation went up and down my entire arm. I told her to take it out. She then tried my other arm although not in the usual spot, a bit lower. I don't know if that was a factor in the resulting problem. After the completion of this woman drawing my blood I left Quest. As I was leaving, I was not even 2 doors down from Quest , my right arm, (the 2nd one to be drawn from) I had a big swollen thing near where the blood was drawn. It was so strange looking--- the size of an actual golf ball and really hurt. I went back to Quest. They do not even have a nurse there to provide advice. Both of my arms were sore at this point. I left and went to the Hospital across the street. I showed the nurse my arms. She said that this can happen when someone is rough when drawing blood. I also found out that the burning in my left arm was from hitting a nerve. It is now a week since that test. I still have 2 bruised arms. My right arm that had the golf ball size swelling was purple and had spread go cover a larger area- approx 4 inches. It is still very purple and now intermittently sore. I have called Quest Labs to complain 4 times. I have left my phone number. No one has responded or ever called me back. DO NOT GO TO QUEST LABS ON GRAND STREET IN LOS ANGELES. I will ask my doctor for a different referral next time. If Quest had called me back or even responded to the on line questionnaire they sent to me I might reconsider.
