I went to Quest Diagnostics on a Monday around 9:45 am for my routine bloodwork (6 tubes). They really wanted to make sure I had a great experience. I was greeted by everyone. You checkin via a kiosk, your name and wait time is displayed on the TV. I waited 15 mins. My intake specialist and phlebotomists were quick and efficient. I was in and out within 30 mins. I will definitely return.

“After checking in I only had to wait two minutes then I was taken into the back to have my blood drawn, the phlebotomist was professional and friendly.”

I have been a Johns Hopkins Community Physicians patient for more than 30 years. After moving, I…read morebegan using the Johns Hopkins Medical Laboratory at Howard County. I have visited this lab three times. The first two experiences were disappointing, but I decided to give it one more chance. Unfortunately, the third visit confirmed that I will not be returning. I arrived before the lab opened and was behind eight or nine people already waiting in line. When the doors opened, a staff member collected everyone's driver's licenses, and we were instructed to take a seat. Shortly afterward, additional patients arrived and checked in using the self-service kiosk. I waited 50 minutes while watching four patients who arrived after me--and checked in at the kiosk--get called before I was. When I could no longer wait, I went to the front desk to retrieve my driver's license and asked how patients were prioritized. I was told that patients are seen based on the time they check in. Apparently, those of us who handed our licenses to the staff member at the door were not actually checked in at that time, placing us at a disadvantage compared with patients who arrived later and used the kiosk themselves. The check-in process is confusing and unfair, the waiting room is small and overcrowded, and the order in which patients are seen appears inequitable. In addition, one of the phlebotomists has been consistently so unpleasant that I find myself hoping I won't be assigned to her. After more than 30 years as a Johns Hopkins patient, I expected a much better experience. Fortunately, I have other options for laboratory services, and I will be using them in the future.

I am writing to express concerns about the patient experience at this location, which has become…read morechallenging since the departure of Ashley and Nadine. Specifically, I have observed that while generally a skilled phlebotomist, Andrea's patient check-in demeanor has been negative. On one occasion, patients waited for 25 minutes, leading one to leave. My attempt to address this with Regional Director Nicole Gray was not productive. Andrea returned from the back with her supervisor on speakerphone and, seemingly unfazed by the situation, exhibited unprofessional and rude behavior, including a dismissive verbalization of "I Don't Care!!!". This type of response is unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting.I am also troubled by the handling of previous issues. I was informed that Nadine, who consistently demonstrated politeness, professionalism, and courtesy, was to receive an award. However, she was removed from this location and, to my knowledge, did not receive the promised recognition.Furthermore, my attempts to contact corporate have gone unanswered for several weeks. A separate, serious concern involves unsanitary practices at the LabCorp Catonsville location, where phlebotomists' extremely long hair extensions are allowed to come into contact with patients' arms.To resolve these issues, I propose the following:Immediate attention to Andrea's patient interaction skills, including training and clear expectations for professional conduct.Clarification regarding Nadine's departure and the status of her promised award.A prompt response from corporate regarding my previous communication.A review of hygiene protocols at the LabCorp Catonsville location, with immediate correction of the hair-related issue. As the patient, an experience at LabCorp should not result in distress. I am committed to working collaboratively to find another location to perform routine labs iand ensure a safe and positive experience. There is a pattern of unprofessionalism here. At this point, leaving a review and finding another LabCorp is the only recourse. Wishing everyone the best.

Labcorp - The ALWAYS broken kiosk. Alone with lthe poor customer service, checking in manually creates more delays.

I wish I never went here, it has been a nightmare, hellish. I received imaging here over 1/2 year ago, but received no itemization, statement, or bill either in person or via mail. Now I am getting threatening letters from them that I owe them $10.00. Yes, they are going to send me to collections for $10 even though they never sent me a bill. The letter has a number that goes to the Phillipines which seems to be a scam operation. I spent half hour on the phone with someone in the Phillipines, I don't know who, giving every bit of personal information imaginable before I could pay the $10. Then they started asking me detailed information about my insurance policy numbers etc. Why does someone in the Phillipines need details of my insurance policy and numbers to take a $10 payment to my account, after already giving the 1/2 hour of personal information??? I called Centennial to see if this was a scam but Centennial First Call has no employees that work in the US or answer phones, no reputable billing department. Piece of trash company. I wish I knew what a piece of trash this company was so I would have gone someplace else, anyplace else.
