I came here for my annual health screening my employer recommends each year. The staff was very friendly and the technician who performed our exam was very patient and was great. The office was clean. Not too inviting but I don't know what medical office is. This was conveniently located and easy to get an appointment. I will come back for my next health check. read more

Absolutely rude woman working there. We had an appointment at 1pm, scheduled through the VA for blood work. We get there a bit early and try to sign in, of course it's all online. The worker comes out and we tell her of the situation, she says they don't schedule 1pm appointments. We mention that we didn't make it, the VA did. She kept talking over us and being extremely rude. In Carson City, Quest is about the only choice besides the awful Lab Corp you have to get blood drawn and tested for whatever medical reason you have. My first experience here was awful, long waits and unfriendly staff, meaning just one person to take care of everything at this location, meaning intake reception, answer the phone and draw the blood. I did find the trick to using this place and it's, MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! You can do this online at their website and as long as you have some lead time to when you need the test, you'll have you good choices of times. My last visit went off without a hitch, easy arrival at 7:15am, no line and right in. You fill out paperwork online and bring in a scan code and that's all easy. If others are waiting without appt. you'll take precedence. The results are available the next day on their website portal. They take most all insurance plans. read more

Suzanne made sure we were in And out and done at our appointment time. She was very effective and efficient at her job. It was an overall pleasent experience. When I thought it was going to take forever and be a nightmare. My husband and I had appointments at 2:00 and 2:15 and were out of there by 2:22. Didn't hurt either. read more

One Wednesday at 11:00am, I found myself in Carson City with an hour to kill between appointments and a blood draw order in my car that I had been putting off for some time (I kinda-sorta *hate* needles ...) Not wanting to put if off any longer, i googled Quest (my insurance's required lab). The closest was 5 min away, so I thought I'd take my chances and show up without an appointment. Was pleasantly surprised to walk in to an empty waiting room. No one was at the counter, but I signed in on the tablet they had there. I had to wait about 5 minutes before someone showed up at the counter -- which was just enough time for me to read all the bad yelp reviews about this location. I almost bolted then and there ... Then Suzanne showed up at the counter and called me over to get checked in. She was warm, welcoming and efficient, so I stayed the course. Minutes later, I was in the room and she was performing the blood draw. LOTS of times technicians have a hard time finding my veins, which means multiple pokes for an already squeamish patient. Suzzane got it on the first try (phew!) and I was done in no time at all. Quite a pleasant surprise after reading all the negative reviews, so thought I'd better balance the scales with my extremely positive experience. Called in advance to ensure the doctor had sent over the proper paperwork for testing. The recording on the phone said that they specifically DO NOT verify this information over the phone and that if the paperwork isn't in then they will contact the doctor at the time of the appointment. Upon arriving we were told the paperwork isn't here so that we should call our doctor. "Sometimes it comes through immediately, sometimes it takes hours." We explain that we tried to call in advance for this reason and the lady at the check in counter said that's why they don't answer the phone, because they don't have time to sit on the phone with doctors for hours. I'm sorry what? If only zero stars was an option. This is absolutely the worst testing facility in the area. Update: after receiving the faxed order and letting it sit on the fax machine for 30 minutes, this receptionist who clearly hates her job judging by how she's speaking to everyone, has continued to take guests after us and repeatedly ignored us. Completely disregarding our appointment and check in. Will gladly go to LabCorp or Quest in Reno before returning to this hell read more

I checked in at 7am, 2nd person in walk in line. Shortly after check in, a lady with an appointment signed in....they came right out and took care of her. So after 45 minutes , the person who works here, came out and made a general announcement..." the computers need to be reset, so it will take awhile. This same lady did the exact same thing last time I was here for a blood draw. Lazy,lazy people.Never coming back...and unless you make an appt. Walk ins are a myth here.Be forewarned....edit....at 815am, I had enough,walked out, and the worker at QD opened their business entrance door shouting my name down the hallway. Southlake, Tahoe, and most places in Carson City are about 35 to 40 minutes away. And I realized that it was going to take me longer to get there. I tried to call which the phone number just sent you on a loop over and over and over again saying the same thing about location and mask practices. If I had been able to call, I would've actually been able to say whether or not I would go. Otherwise, I would've driven another 20 minutes .It takes a good hour to get there. Especially since the building that it's in is not marked with the business name and it looks like a hotel. I made a reservation to go and Because of the amount of time that it took, I was about eight minutes late and they had already closed, even though the office says it's open until 4pm and was very disheartening since I had to travel to get there, after work. Unfortunately, my insurance only covers LabCorp and quest diagnostics. I will not be returning to Quest if I can help it read more

Don't waste your time with this location. The people are disregarding and tell you they don't take walk ins when it is clear on their sign that all appointments and walk-ins welcome! This is not the first time I have been to this location and had the same kind of treatment and attitudes they do not even speak to you expect you to walk over to the kiosk and enter all your information on a kiosk and when you can't enter all your information because you don't have your insurance card with you they say oh we stop taking walk-ins! read more

We have a disabled, autistic 10 year old daughter who is no stranger to blood draws and all obnoxious medical things. This blood draw was BY FAR the least obnoxious draw we have ever had. Nice professional office, clean, television in the waiting room etc. The office is not far from the entrance of the building, on the first (ground) floor, so fairly easy access for wheelchairs and such. Did a walk in for some lab work, and was fairly effortless in getting the insurance paperwork complete and such. Had a five minute wait and was done in just a few minutes. I removed a star as after a half hour, my arm is still stinging and aching from the draw which is not normal for me. I still would recommend this place, and will use again, as my experience may be unique to this this one time read more

Compared to labcorp, quest is better. That's the only reason I give them 2 stars rather than one. The staff is friendly when the want to be and the phlebotomists seem to be somewhat better as well. The lady at the front desk was "off the clock" and therefore was incapable of helping an elderly lady understand how things worked, or how long the wait was. The phlebotomist I had forgot what I was in there for, and checked my paperwork in the middle of drawing my blood, so the needle was moved around a bit. I don't understand why labs and the staff there are so rude and are not trained well. Have yet to get my blood drawn and not question humanity. read more

I would also give Quest Diagnostics in Carson City, NV a zero if I could. They completely lost my lab results to send to my doctor, but had no problem billing my insurance company for lab results they cannot find. Go to LabCorp for your lab work, they do an excellent job. read more

If I could leave ZERO stars I would !! I am 28 weeks pregnant and needed urgent blood work done. Went in on a Thursday and the lady that was working was VERY unprofessional! She took several breaks while I sat there. I had to wait an hour while I drank a drink to do my sugar test. The whole time I sat there I saw her leave the desk leaving patients waiting for a good 20 minutes at a time with no patient in the back being waited on. I then had to reschedule my dr appointment because my results where not back for 2 days later only to find out that she had lost 2 vials of my blood and they where never sent in. The lady at customer set hung up on my when I said I would contact HIPPA as that is not okay to loose someone's blood and not be able to tell them where it is ! Luckily I notified my insurance to prevent them from billing my blood work twice. I will not be back and can not wait to speak to HIPPA and the supervisor if and when they call me back !! This all goes without saying when she drew my blood she took no time to look for a proper vein and proceeded to try my hand cause that was "easiest". I asked several times for that to not be the route cause I get a bad reaction when getting drawn from my hand ! She proceeded to do so anyways cause she was ready to leave for the day!! Very bad experience. 1. There was no seating while waiting for checking. 2. There were two people behind the desk and neither greeted us, one the technician just sat there reading a magazine, the other was very ineptly trying to check in a patient. 3. After a twenty minute wait the technician announced that because it was twenty minutes to twelve they would not be able to process anyone until after he had his lunch and we should come back in the afternoon. This was done in a tone of voice that suggested any dummy could have figured that out without being told. 4. When the technician took the blood sample there was little attention to making sure the alcohol was dry before drawing the blood. 5. He was not very good and a lot of needle movement was felt during the draw. 6. As I walked down the hall from the Quest office, I noticed my shirt sleeve was soaked with blood. 7. Upon return the technician was not sympathetic or interested in helping clean up the mess; but did supply very nice, clean bathroom. While cleaning up I found the puncture site was pretty badly mangled and the bandage was very small. read more
