They run this place like a lunchroom. If the lady at the counter can't help you you use the machine. Then you wait till they call your name and tell you what room to go to, where you wait again. Minimum communication and the people at the desk are not very communicative. They do the blood draw and send you on which is the job that is to be done but damn. read more

Do not go to this location. It is the only Labcorp in Carson therefore the wait is forever. I waited 2 hours to get my blood drawn. The office was freezing with no heat. They were understaffed. And the girl who drew my blood didn't speak English- that's concerning. And she used a huge needle to take my blood and left it in my arm as she was doing it. I almost fainted looking at the needle. Went to Renown Medical Group on South Carson street for a check up and they sent me here to do lab work and have my blood drawn for tests. It was my first time going anywhere to get my blood drawn and it was a pretty good and fast experience. The lady at the front desk was super nice and Marge is the one who drew my blood and she was nice too. The whole process took no more than 15 minutes and I was sent on my way. I went there at 8am on a Friday so that might be why it was so fast. But overall I am pretty satisfied with my visit:) read more

Had a scheduled appointment, checked in at the kiosk that took no more than a minute. The ladies called me in for my lab paperwork, and within 5 minutes I was waiting in a room. The same assistant that checked me in came back and did my blood work and she was phenomenal, friendly and a ninja when it came to drawing my blood. Did not feel a single pinch. The reception team is mean as hell and rude. They need to put up a sign on their door that people should check in first before approaching the reception area if they gonna lash out at people. It's hella early for me and I'm half asleep and they about bit my head off for going straight to reception to check in. They were very rude to an older gentleman that was hard of hearing. I have been using this lab multiple times per year since 2015 and don't have any complaints. They are a professional, friendly office and do their job well. Pros: 1. Parking is easy and plentiful. 2. The waiting room is large (there are actually two of them) and clean with comfortable chairs. 3. The techs there, who change quite often, have always been professional, helpful, and friendly to me. They even let me go in back to get water when I was dehydrated. They get the job done in a professional manner. 4. As with most LabCorps, they usually have two techs working at once, with an optional third one at the front desk. 5. It is an an old house in a basically residential area, so it has a nice, quaint feel, as opposed to the standard lab in a commercial building. 6. If you need a note excusing you from work or proof of your appointment there, that is easy to get. Cons: 1. The driveway in and out out the parking lot is a little narrow, due to cars being parallel parked next to the building. 2. Visibility pulling out into the street is not good, due to all the residential cars parked on the street. I've had a few close calls. 3. They have been experimenting with electronic check-in at their machines the past few years. This has been hit and miss, with the machines sometimes being down and different amounts of information required at varying times. The machines may require ID if you don't have an appointment email with your QR-code. There used to be three machines; now there are either one or two. 4. People don't close the door sometimes since it is not self closing, so you have to get up yourself to close it. Full disclosure: I have almost always gone there with an appointment, and usually in the late afternoons when it is less crowded. I do not know how it is in the mornings or without an appointment. Usually, from what I have seen, those without appointments are processed fairly quickly. Tips: Make an appointment so there is almost no waiting. Go in the afternoons if you can, which are quieter. Bring your appointment email (printed or on the phone) with the QR-code so you can scan it at check-in. read more

Worst service ever. Not prepared at all. First one in line. They didn't take me for a half hour and I was the first patient. Than they couldn't get my vein and had to get another person to draw my blood. It's unfortunate that they were so short staffed that the person who checked me in, also had to draw my blood. She was the second person to attempt to draw my blood but she did a great job. The management needs to do a better job of managing and staffing the place. Would find another place to go. I made an online appointment and received a confirmation number and a link to enter once I arrived. I arrived 10 minutes early and clicked the links where I received a "your all checked-in message - you will get a text when we are ready for you." 45 minutes pass and nothing. I go to the front door and find the door locked - and so I knocked. Somebody answers and tells me I wasn't in the system - go away, "like the rude doorman on the Wizard of Oz." Come back tomorrow. Wow! I was just in there with my wife. I approached the window and a girl tried to hand me a mask, and I politely refused it. I said "no thank you hun, I'll just go wait in the car. I know it's not your fault, that's why I'm not mad at you, but I'll wait outside." My wife went and sat down, around the corner in one of the waiting rooms. She then heard a girl named "BRI" say "I don't know why customers like him have to be such assholes about the masks, just wear it and be quiet. I don't have a problem with it. They just need to comply." Well as you can imagine everyone had looked up at my wife (I'm assuming Bri thought we both had went outside.) And my wife came unglued on her about her lack of professionalism. And Bris reply was "well I'm entitled to my opinion." So Labcorps official stance is "customers who politely refuse a mask are assholes??" I wonder if people at the top running these places have any idea this is going on. I've had bad days at my work also. I work with people all day long. All she had to do was apologize, lie, come up with something different, yet she doubled down?? Wow! That is extremely unprofessional! I was polite and had a good conversation with the other gal upfront. (She was taking info off of my Insurance card and being polite, and making small conversation like normal people do.) Apparently this is the NEW excellent customer service you can expect here. I have blood draws here every few months. The staff is always very pleasant and efficient. I make my appointment on line and can check in at the kiosk inside. Today I was in and out in 10 minutes. I like that the facility is very clean. My results always get to my Dr.s in a timely manner. I will definitely continue to use this provider. read more

Just got done engaging with this establishment and I can say that their front desk staff is lacking in working with the clients and or patients that come in for labs. I was treated in a very disrespectful manner and brought all this up to the manager of the office only to get an auto generated reply. I will never use this place again and I will be spreading the word to any of my clients I work with not to use this deplorable office. I have been to other Labcorp's and been treated better. Went in and got my blood taken for tests and never got the results. My doctor called and they told her that I had not been in. Their patient portal never showed any results, but it did show the invoice for the incomplete work. I called customer service and they said the website isn't always accurate and they had faxed the results to a number that was not on the original order sheet. I still needed to pay. read more

I normally have no issues with this LabCorp. I know that the lines are long and I make appointments, knowing there will be a wait. Yesterday (12/23) I went in for some blood draws. The lady who opened at 7am is WONDERFUL and had no issues drawing my blood (2 out of 4 times). The other lab tech, who I will say was very, very nice but obviously inexperienced, destroyed my arm. I'm pregnant and was there for a few necessary hours for the process. My issue is that the inexperience lab techs should not be practicing on pregnant women and others who are requiring numerous draws. Can be kind of hard to find the first time you come here as the entrance is on the side of the East side of the building and not overly well marked. Arrived here when they opened and there was already several people ahead of us. The wait time seemed to be about 4 minutes per person ahead of us on the check-in list maybe a little less. People behind the counter were polite and the tech was equally so. The waiting room was a little on the sterile side with flat white walls though it was large enough to hold upwards of 30 people. Arrived at 2:17pm on a Monday. My new place of employment requires a pre-drug screening. This was my first time at this facility. Was called up to show my paper work, the front desk lady who originally was helping me stops to answer the phone. Another women walks up and gives back my paperwork and says sit down and you will be called when ready. Many patients who arrived after me were called in. I realized I was misguided to hold onto my paperwork and got bumped off the line. I waited over an hour to be served. I continuously saw my paperwork being shuffled and kept speaking to the front desk women. The test themselves are OK. They are indifferent, very, very slow to get you in and could care less how long you have to wait. I started going to Quest as they are much faster and friendly. Usually Lab Corp is very crowded, like a third world clinic. However, I have gone in there a couple of times ( when I had no choice ) and was the only one there. They just tell you to sign in and have a seat. 4 people stand around chatting, 20 minutes later I left without and testing. They obviously have no competent management or supervision. This office is the definition of the new medical field attitude of "we don't care." I dropped off a urine specimen over a week ago that was fifteen minutes old. I waited in the lobby for five minutes and handed it off with a lab slip. I waited four days before I impatiently called in to get results. But of course, they don't answer their phones there. So I left a message and didn't hear back from them. I called her doctor's office and they had to look into it. The doctor's office called me back and said the sample was bad and according to LabCorp it should have been refrigerated. I had followed all of their instructions to the letter and then they blamed me for screwing it up. So now I need to get them another sample. I verified the procedure again and the doctor's office confirmed, "get it to LabCorp within 30 minutes of taking the sample and you're good." I tried calling LabCorp to confirm, but low and behold they still don't answer their phones. So I get to do the process again and just cross my fingers. Like I said before, nobody in the industry cares anymore. read more

When I arrived at 9am for my appointment there was one younger female Hispanic girl with shoulder length dark brown hair that was down sitting at the reception desk on the right, it seemed like she couldn't be bothered by us customers, she just kept pointing everyone to the "kiosk". There was only myself and 2 other patients in the room. People were trying to ask her questions, she just kept saying, "We will call you up" They lost my lab orders from my doctor ( what a surprise) my doctor had to refax them. I wanted to make sure that my insurance acct number was right, she couldn't be bothered, then this older female came in ( she had a ponytail) she heard what I was saying so she was kind and helped me. Another younger Hispanic girl with dark hair in a ponytail came and drew my blood, she was kind and friendly and did a great job. NOONE had a name tag on. For that first impression girl, she gets an "F" not a receptionist AT ALL, horrible people skills and shouldn't be a front line person. The other two were helpful, quick and efficient. This one older gentleman was having trouble with the kiosk and the girl that was drawing blood came out and helped him, because AGAIN the receptionist couldn't be bothered. read more

I've had to deal with LabCorp on both personal and professional levels for business. I did meet one kind lab tech about 5 years ago that was very kind and patient with one of my little boys, that is the extent of my positive experiences with LabCorp. Most of the time, there is a good wait, once you make it through, pray that they bill your insurance correctly, even if you confirm the information you gave them, once forwarded to their billing department, they will undoubtedly screw it up and good luck trying to get it straightened out as on many occassions, it took me numerous phone calls over the course of weeks, with emailed and faxed copies of their own correspondence being forwarded by me just so they could find the bill they were erroneously charging me on. I don't know if it's every location or just Northern Nevada, but I was an insurance adjuster who dealt with bills from them on a daily basis for years, and what a nightmare! Sadly I think most medical organizations are partnered with LabCorp or have a facility on site that they take no personal responsibility for, which I can understand as they tarnich their own reputation enough without dragging down other various medical providers.
