I'm not accustomed to checking reviews before going to the doctor, but maybe I should start after this experience. My wife visited for a blood test ordered by OHSU and was met with unprofessional behavior. An elderly female phlebotomist repeatedly talked over her, insisting that a printed requisition was required--even after verifying that the faxed order was sent by our physician days ago. Additionally, the billing process was confusing and inflexible. She refused to process our insurance, repeatedly asking if we were paying the lclient." When we clarified that our healthcare provider's insurance covered the test, she still insisted on billing the doctor. This experience left us feeling undervalued and frustrated. I wish I had seen his name so I could thank him here, but the technician/phlebotimist was so nice and helpful! It was my first time there, walk-ins are ok, but the entire day was booked with appointments. There's a sign that says you might wait up to an hour if you don't have an appointment. He came out and announced to the people waiting that he had started the day with computer issues so he was a little bit behind, but he would fit in walk-ins as soon as he could, which was really helpful because I wasn't sure how long to wait around. Then he came out again and announced my name just to say that I was next. It was really, really nice, and although the place was full of people waiting, I only waited about 20-25 minutes. read more

The regular woman is on vacation but the girl from Vancouver did a great job taking my blood work and also people without appointments. The place is shabby and the ceiling needs replacing but it's inside a Safeway so don't know who is responsible for that. She was very careful finding a vein so I was please and no bruising. Rate 10 out of 10: Annabelle is amazing at this location, very experienced pro, made it painless and stress free, and I am NOT an easy case to deal with, I signed up for Function Health and have a bunch of tests to get, so very bit nervous since you cannot see ANY Veins in my arms... I have super thick skin and most places cannot find my vein and want to poke my hand ( no thanks) I went to another place for a blood draw and after multiple try's , no luck. Thankfully Annabelle knows what the heck she is doing, and got my vein in one try with a smile. I see all these negative reviews for quest, most of them pretty petty and about appt times, and such, but if you can get someone to get your blood out quick with little to no pain, then that is what matters. read more

I read a lot of reviews before coming here and there was a lot of negativity. I had such a great experience, and I got in so quickly. I was in the waiting room and the women before me says "she's amazing" and I had a great experience with her as well. I told her I was don't do the best with blood draws and she was so kind to me and did an amazing job. read more

I was a walk in on a Thursday morning, I checked in and waited about 5 minutes. I spent maybe a total of 3 minutes in her office and told her I've already tried to do this 2x at another location and they couldn't find my veins. The phlebotomist was INCREDIBLE. She literally asked if I was weird about blood which I am, I just looked away and closed my eyes, she nailed it ON THE FIRST TRY, which never happens for me. She was incredibly fast and skilled and honestly I could have cried because of how simple and easy she made this experience. She deserves a raise read more

I was hesitant to go to this business based on reviews., But I could not find one blood draw laboratory in the Portland or Beaverton area that didn't have bad reviews., they all do, but I needed to get my blood drawn.... I did what the website suggested and made an appointment. I arrived on time and only had to wait about 10 minutes.... The woman who assisted me ,her name was Sabina, was very professional, and I could tell she was very experienced... I was very scared, because no phlebotomist has ever been able to find my vein. Every time I've had my blood drawn in the past I'll get several hematomas, and often I have to go to the hospital to have my blood drawn because my veins are not findable... But today was pretty amazing because Sabina is a rockstar phlebotomist, she found my vein immediately it was painless and quick. I understand that most of the blood draw laboratories are severely understaffed, and only usually have one person working, and since the pandemic this has been going on with most businesses... People just need to be more. patient make appointments. I& realize that this is the kind of job that a lot of people don't care to do drawing blood. All day isn't fun, but a necessary job so be kind to those who are doing this job for you and give them a break. My suggestion is to make an appointment in advance go early in the morning and pre-pay for your services online if you don't have insurance... Be kind of the person who is helping you and be patient. read more

If you want a rude, angry old woman to jab you for a blood draw, this is the place for you! I came early for my scheduled appointment and was seen half an hour after the appointment time. The sole practitioner told me she wouldn't see me because it was her lunch break. I told her I had an 1130 appointment. She threw up her hands and walked away without saying anything. A few minutes later she took me back and was slapping things around in anger. I really wanted to leave but was afraid I'd be billed. She was terse and not gentle. When I went to place a urine cup in the cubby as directed, there were several other samples waiting in there. I had to move one over to fit mine in. Gross. read more

I have been going to Quest Diagnostics for years. Diane (I think that's her name) was the main person for years and she is 10+. Nice, friendly, efficient, relational and a wonderful and sweet person. Since her retirement, there has been a different person every time. The lady I had yesterday (12/18 in the morning) was -zero. She was blunt, rude, unfriendly, unhelpful, grumpy, the worst experience I have ever had at any lab I have gone to. She really shouldn't be representing the company. If she is a permanent person at this location, I will NOT return. read more

I was a walk in on a Monday afternoon and barely waited 15min! The phlebotomist was excellent and everything went very smooth. No problems here! Don't let the negative reviews get to you, bad experiences at labs happen and they have a reason to say something. People who have an average or good experience don't have much of an incentive to say anything :) read more

The worst experience I ever got. I made an appointment and waited for 40 min (no customers were before us. Only two techs inside doing some sort of training or changing shifts but took 40 min???!!!!) then we stepped outside to pick up prescriptions which is just at the door way and the tech even went out too and let me know they were changing guards and that's why it was taking long. Then 2 min later, she took the next person behind us because she says we were not in the waiting room. Seriously?!!! We waited for another 20 min finally it was my turn but she told me the blood draw order was not received. I then called my doctor office to fax the order again on the spot to the number she gave me. She said it is going to take a while and asked me to come back, even though my doctor office confirmed they received confirmation that it was faxed over successfully. She didn't want me to wait there and keeps saying their machine takes time to dissect what was faxed over and will take long. She asked me to write numbers down and she will call me once they receive the order. She never called. Very disappointed. Will never return. Quest can't keep their promises to customers. read more

Doc says no appointment needed and all the information they need is in the computer. Get there and there is one person ahead of me. A computer monitor says she's up in 5 min and I'm up in 16. Cool. Then an appointment pops up and I'm 27 minutes out. Then 15. Then 27. 30 minutes later I'm still 27 min out. Had someone told me they were pretty booked and that I might be waiting for an hour or more I would have left then, not when I realized their "helpful" time estimator is actually fucked. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. The lady was super rude. When I got there I informed her I'm afraid of needles. And would like to request a small butterfly needle. As it also hurts me really bad to use a bigger gage. Her response was "I'll determine that" and proceeded to lecture me on why she needed to use the bigger needle. She said it would take longer to use a smaller needle. So?? It's my body. And I was informing her of my fear and needs. She then proceeded to continue to be rude. Asking if I have any tattoo. Which I do not. And said "oh well those are worse than this. So when people have tattoos I always laugh. Ummm yeah that's a different process than someone taking blood out of your body. After that she told me to sit, grabbed a medium needle and complained the whole time that it was taking too long. Then after the needle was in, and blood was flowing, she dug around the area with the needle causing pain. And said "you're fine". WHAT! I now have a huge bruise that's gotten worse over the last few days. And it's tender to the touch. A 5 year old could have done better. I was shocked and hated the service. Her bedside manner was horrible. As I was leaving, I asked if she needed my orders for the blood work as I was told to bring them. She said "I have them online. Why would you bring those that was unnecessary". Uhhhh ok... wow. She didn't give me her name. And I was so taken a back I didn't ask. But I was there May 5th at 9 am in the morning. I really hope she gets better training or talked to. That was ridiculous. read more

A waste of 75 minutes for travel and waiting. And, I can't reschedule because the order shows as completed in the system. An absolute waste of my time. read more

AWFUL customer service. The phlebotomist had NO PATIENTS, she was just working in her office. After waiting for 10 minutes she came out and told us we would be waiting a long time. Waited 30 more minutes and she didn't step foot out of her office once to even give us an update or get any patients to see. I have to get lab work done on specific days and the phlebotomist at this location made my entire day and experience at Quest miserable. I ended up leaving and going somewhere else because she never bothered to come out of her office to help anyone. I've never had a worse lab experience. read more

An impersonal and souless waiting area, 1 phlebotamist working on a busy Friday. Feels like all the scare tactics folks use to dissuade us from socialized medicine are already here. I thought I'd try this location even given the bad reviews because I needed fasting labs and this was the closest to my house. I looked online and it said "0 minute wait" for a walk-in. Great! Like I said, I'd been fasting and was starving. I walked in and there was one person ahead of me, totally okay. Then the phlebotomist came out and seemed really irritated that I was a walk-in and said I "had to" have an appointment. She said she had back-to-backs all day and that she'd have to fit me in between other appointments. I was weighing whether to wait (again, STARVING) when she then asked if I'd been fasting. I happily answered yes, thinking maybe that meant she would try to get me in sooner than later. But no, after I confirmed that I had been fasting she just said, "Well, you still need an appointment." According to their online system I would have had to wait 5.5 hours to get an appointment so I hoped in the car and drove to the outpatient lab at Providence Tanasbourne Urgent Care. I had to wait 7 minutes then was in and out. This is my favorite lab anyway, not only because they're speedy but because they're wonderful at what they do and it's the least painful draws ever. I live in Murray Scholls so it's like a 16 minute drive each way, but this morning I had it confirmed that it's totally worth it. read more

I have to agree that Diana is good, but only to certain people. Previously, I was late for an appointment and was then treated as a walk-in, which I can understand. I was sternly lectured that appointments take precedence and was made to wait awhile, even when no one came in for their set appointment time. However, this time I made an appointment and came in a little bit early to make sure whoever was there would know I was there to allow some prep time. There was a lady who came in a little bit earlier then me, but did not have an appointment. She should have been treated as a walk-in, but was whisked right in, while I was made to wait even when I told Diana I had an appointment. Fortunately, Kenneth was there to help, or else I would have left out of anger and disappointment due to my treatment. Diana is a hypocrite. Go somewhere else if you don't want to be treated like garbage. read more

Went to get our shots at the pharmacy which shared the office with Quest Diagnostics. Our appointment was scheduled and we waited and waited...while waiting hubby knocked on the door with no signs on it to see if they might help. The man who came out said we had invaded his space and he had nothing to do with the pharmacy..he was rude and obnoxious. He was very unkind. The man could have said this a different way instead of being a complete jerk. I went out to the pharmacy after he went to his office and asked about the shots(so much for scheduling things) and I told her about this guys big blow op. When we did get our shots, I did mention this again to the lab tech we had. She was very nice...I suggest that they put a big sign on this guys door that says Quest Diagnostics...so no one else has to experience this awful man again. People make mistakes, but there is no need to rave at them like he did. I would have given a zero but it doesn't exist on your scale. read more

I went today to get my blood drawn, was stuck twice and sent home. Not sure why the staff can't figure out how to do it the first try. Very frustrating, painful, and a waste of my time. I have anxiety around getting my blood drawn, and today is part of the reason why. Not looking forward to trying again. read more

Diana was my phlebotomist. She's great. I have very small veins and she had no problem with the blood draw. Please be advised that you really should make an appointment even if the website says that you can simply walk in. Please also understand that since Covid, there are so many people getting vaccinated on top of the people who are there for routine labs. You may have to wait a bit even with an appointment. read more

ON May 27th 2021, based on our prior appointment, my husband and I went for blood work. I had forgotten to take my medicare SCAN card. I told Diana that I can call the SCAN to verify the info needed. I called SCAN right there but she didn't agree to take our blood work and get the info until I'll go back to get my card afterwards so I wouldn't loose my appointment. She was unfriendly and rigid and did not agree. We drove back home to get my medical card. She told me as long as no one else shows up for their appointment she'll take me. She started the process and took me yet in the middle of the process, someone showed up and she did not continue with me for another few minutes to finish. Instead I had to go back to the waiting room and wait and wait until someone else was late for appointment so at last she took me after a long wait. Then our result was sent to a wrong Dr. not the Dr. we provided. A disaster service...will never ever go back there. read more

The short version: My experience was very positive and Diana is a gem. The Long version: I hate having blood drawn because, like a lot of people, I had one bad experience and I don't want a repeat. Today's experience was the polar opposite. I made an appt for next week, but woke up with a knot in my stomach about it and decided to just go get it over with. When I arrived, Diana greeted me and asked if I had an appointment. When I explained that I did, but came in early because I was nervous, she said she understood, and that going forward, if I want to get right in, appts are a good idea (it makes sense, there's some paperwork and confirming insurance etc. that could all be done online). The blood draw itself was painless and easy, and Diana checked both arms to find a good vein before starting to ensure my comfort (pro tip: drink a lot of water before going in). She kept me chatting, but knew to ask a lot of questions to keep me distracted. We talked about a dentist appt I had coming up, and she asked if I checked reviews or how I found her, and that she herself felt bad that her colleagues at other locations got poor reviews on yelp, and that people didn't expect a wait when they walked in but that it can be tough without appts to hurry things up. When it was done I got a big smile, "You did great!" And I felt amazingly relieved. I don't write many reviews, but this experience has been really awesome. Thanks! read more
