I came here today for a some blood work requested from my doctor, today was a good visit and the staff people out front was nice. Unfortunately I had came yesterday and they couldn't see me because my doctor didn't advise me I had to bring my own lab order (make sure you check you have that because my doctor didn't tell me I was supposed to take it printed and this place wasn't able to see me, ofcourse it's not their fault but just an FYI). Anyways the visit was fast as well, you can just check in on your phone when you arrive outside and then they can tell you thru text when it's your turn. The place isn't the nicest, but the staff was very friendly and professional. Angela drew my blood and she is awesome because she makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. People also have a hard time drawing blood from my little veins, but Angela got it on the first try--she is very efficient. I did check in 5 mins after my appointment so I knew I would be waiting a bit (10mins) so I recommend getting there a few mins prior. read more

Why, why, why is it impossible to speak to a Quest person on the phone. After 20 minutes in a phone loop, the system hung up on me. I was turned away at a Huntington Beach Quest center this morning because their system was down. I had an early morning appointment, which is difficult to get, and my lab request is on file. They could not accept me because their computer system was down. Fine. Had to leave. So, now I have to take more time off of work to go to another quest location near my office in Anaheim. I want to call to see if their system is operational and if the same lab request I have on file at the other location will be accessible at this one. It is not possible to speak to a person to verify this. System hangs up on you. Every. Single. Time. Come on, people. This is not how you do business. read more

I made an appointment for basic bloodwork, when I brought up my secondary insurance and ask them if they had it on file already since I've been here several times before, all the front desk ladies had a very condescending tone, as I was walking out to bring back my paper blood order, they continued with their sarcastic attitude. Before I got helped I watched one of the ladies be so pushy, and insistent with the patient before me, meanwhile the poor lady was trying to check in the screen, they had her/asking her to check in, get her temperature taken and pull out her insurance card all at the same time. If there was 0 stars then I would give 0. I went in to get my routine blood drawn today with an appointment at 9:15 am and checked in at about 9:07 am. They called me in at 9:27. Phlebotomist/technician searched for vein and decided to draw blood from my left arm. But when as soon as needle was going in I think hit the nerve in my arm and felt like bolt of electricity ran down my arm to my wrist area, told the technician that I have too much pain and she asked me if she should remove, I said yes then she remove the needle. She rubbed my arm for a minute or two, gave me a hot pack to hold then she told me someone else will be coming in. She did not even apologizes and she didn't even come back into the room. Felt nauseated, other technicians told me to put my head down, took me to another room to lie down for about 30 minutes. I had blood drawn at the location before. But I'm not going back to this location anymore or Quest Diagnostics anymore. read more

I waited 25 long minutes (from my appointment time.. not counting my arrival & check in) My appointment was @9:45, I checked In @9:35, I recvd a text @9:40 "thanks for waiting we are ready for you to come in now" (I was already inside and my name was on the marquee), other ppl came in after me, 1 person had a 10:00 (she arrived @9:45) they called her within 2 minutes, then they called 3 more ppl before me, at 10:05 I asked what happened with me, they asked if I checked in...duh my name is practically in lights!!! I finally got called back there @10:10. I would have given them a minus 10 but I had to give them at least 1 star bc I had no choice!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND COMPLETE COVID TEST SOMEWHERE ELSE. We spent extra money for a rapid covid test for a trip. Only to arrive at our destination to find out the test was not on time even though we did it way in advance of our trip. We then spent the first day of our trip on the phone trying to get ahold of someone to get the results to us. They were unhelpful, and clearly did not care that they were running late. We were told different information by each person from quest we contacted. They were so unorganized and did not know any of the correct information. I literally ended up calling a covid lab results facility which they answered the phone as 'how did you get this number?' And they explained to us they did have the results but could not send it yet?! So the next day it was all over again of phone calls and misinformation. I ended up coming in contact with a manager in a completely different state as mine who actually helped us! She contacted the lab and sent us our results. So over 50 people we spoke to, how could one person help us and no one else could? Thank you to this manager, but everything was a horrible experience that was full of stress. With no money returned to us. Please find another place to complete a rapid test for a vacation it was not worth it. read more

I went to this place with my gf and This place sucks, I mean they're averaging one person every thirty minutes, really, for a simple blood draw, how long does it take to draw the blood and place the sticker. I asked the front desk how long the wait is and one of the phlebotomist had a smart ass attitude and said "if you had an appt it would be faster." Note, lady sitting next to me has been waiting for an hour and some change and she supposively had an appt. I don't recommend this place at all, it's probably the main reason I switched my gma to Kaiser. First of all, as you walk into this lab its FILLED with people. You can just tell the air isn't fresh as you can see all the FRUSTRATED faces (kids running around, dirty chairs etc). Also a notable mention is that this place is tucked away inside an outdated building and was not easy to find. Second you're are greeted by a lady with BRIGHT PINK hair and long GREEN finger nails (I really should have known better and turned away once I saw this). I'm not usually judgmental, but the look in her eyes just told me she was not thrilled about her job. BRIGHT PINK hair lady answered her personal cell phone as she was "helping" me. Imagine if I was at a restaurant where as I'm taking an order, the waiter takes a personal call. Imagine how unprofessional that looks and how error prone that makes a business look. THESE PEPOLE ARE IN CHARGE OF POKING YOU AND DRAWING BLOOD FROM YOUR BODY AND THEY'RE TAKING PERSONAL CALLS WHILE HELPING YOU???!?!? If you have to take a personal call shouldn't you do that on your break/lunch? If its that much of an emergency, then why not take a personal/sick day. Why answer you call to tell the person on the other line "I'm at work, I'll call you back". WTF!!?? Really Quest? I question your hiring practices. Never will I ever come near this place. It not run well and the staff (especially the front desk lady) seem to not enjoy their job. They seemed to lack customer service and knowledge about common issues. Who is the supervisor here? It is great to know that the driver of your wight minivan with company logo, traveling down the 5 freeway at 9:50 p.m. would rather attempt to push my wife and toddler off the freeway. Then continue to jump lanes to end up next to the carpool lane and speed down the freeway at increased speed. Is soo much more important than the safety and well-being of my wife and daughter. Had an appointment for 10:30 and went up to check in on the wait (at 11:00) and the receptionist told me she forgot to check me in and was distracted by everyone talking to her. Very rude to see multiple walk ins seen before someone with an appointment and I still haven't been seen after being told I'd be next. I was then yelled at across the waiting room by the receptionist and told my electronic request was never put in the system electronically and given additional attitude. Still waiting 1.5 hour later. I just went to this Quest location this past week to have some testing done and I can't seem to understand all of the negative reviews! The lady behind the desk was very kind and helpful and they even took me into my appointment early! They were very nice and professional and made the whole process very pleasant. The building also has a great parking lot with plenty of available free parking spaces. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you live around the area! read more

I gave this place the benefit of the doubt and the last two times I came in they were always beyond rude. No professionalism, no customer service skills, (only two people I met were professional but didn't catch their names) first visit they kept ignoring people that really needed help and then one lady kept coughing everywhere and drew my blood while telling me disturbing stories about working in the medical field, she didn't cover her cough and didn't even acknowledge me for the first ten minutes and kept leaving while i was in the chair... came back and they acted like i gave them the wrong insurance card when i didn't it was like pulling teeth to have them admit they made a mistake last time and shouldn't have taken me if they didn't except my insurance... I was sent away confused and felt like they were blaming me.... she let me know it was their mistake and that they won't get paid for it now, um okay? i just hope i don't get billed fire their mistake.Almost every time i enter a quest they ignore patients, they look miserable, they're rude... almost feels like i'm stepping into the DMV office smh....went to another spot and the lady was very nice and told me she used to work for quest and it was horrible. read more

(March 12, 2014) Went there to drop off a specimen for analysis. Receptionist was rude. Haughtily said I could just mail it. Reluctantly accepted it from me and tossed it into a box, only after I advised her that the tech at an Irvine location had told me that I could drop it off at any Quest Lab site. Had other business at a nearby health office. In passing, I mentioned the incident, only to learn that several others had reported similar rudenesses, complete with a physical description of the offensive woman! Interesting that, although the two medical concerns are not in any way affiliated, enough other people found their experience at this same particular Quest facility disturbing enough to mention it, while doing business, in a related, but completely unaffiliated medical concern nearby. I said I would report that woman, and I will, next time I get my blood drawn in Irvine. To the person who reported a friendly greeting by the "women"at the reception desk: You must have hit it just right...when the notorious rude woman was either on a break or out ill. read more

This place is the worst ! Most unorganized place I've been too every single time I have gone they have fucked up. First off the wait here is crazy there is no where to sit there is that many people .I went for blood work and stool test I've never had to do a stool test so wasn't sure what to expect or look for . the dr. Took blood and Gave me a container to take home to do the test and bring back . Well I get home do as I'm told than actually drive all the way back the same day and wait in the waiting room again packed with people just so when I'm called they can tell me oops who gave you this one is the wrong stool test ? So now they give me another stool test container because they gave me the incorrect one. And now I have to wait till the next day to do it. Guess what now because they can't get their shit together I have to now waste another day and more time and wait again in there waiting room to drop off the correct one the next day . And now this is where it gets interesting . My dr orders more test to be done a month later I go and the lady takes about 7 vials of blood from my right arm than tapes me up and says she's done than before I left she says oh I'm sorry I forgot one .... like I already hate needles to begin with so now I'm like really dude well now I have to get my left arm poked too because you forgot one ? So now I get another vial from my other arm and everything is good so I leave At this point I have not told my gf what had happened I get home and about 2 hours later my gf called me saying hey that she got a call from quest telling her if I could go back because they forgot 1 more blood test ! I'm like wtf at this point. Guess what I have to take more time out of my day and drive back I get there and the lady at the desk says I have to sign in lol my head is about to explode at this point but I still kindly say no I woke up really early to get this over with I already waited in line this morning I'm not about to wait because you guys keep forgetting things well I get called right away. Same lady say it's not one I forgot 2 vials of blood like how do you forget so many times This is the craziest experience I have ever had with a place of drs like it makes me think what other shit goes on in here like do they forget they can't use same needle for their patience. Out of all the Quest I've been to, this one is by far the worse. Mostly because the receptionist is so rude. This was my second visit. On my first visit she gave me a hard time because I was a walk-in at 430pm when they close at 5. No where on their site or anywhere posted in their office did it say no more walkins after 430pm. I think this was just her own rule to get out on time. Luckily my doctor ordered stat and she took me. It literally took 5 mins at max to get me in and out. At another location, on La Veta, I walked in at 445 pm and no one gave me any issue, or any rude faces or remarks. My second visit, again rude, asking me if I had an appt. I didn't because when I try to make one they're book until a week and I need it on days dr requests. This time she couldn't say anything because it was 4pm but rudely replied, you have to wait an hour. Fine by me. Is it really that difficult to be nice? If you hate your job, move on. read more

As soon as I walked into this place the colors of the place gave a weird feeling it makes it look very old. There are 18 other people waiting In the waiting room with me and about 3 children ceying. I made an appointment to avoid having to wait a long time but I've already been waiting for an hour even with an appointment. Avoid this place like the plague! The building the office is located within is horrifying. When you get into the waiting room, all you'll see is green. While finding a place to sit, I noticed a swastika engraved into one of the chairs. I wish I had gotten the chance to mention it to the front desk clerk, but there wasn't one. The door to the office was open and inside sat one nurse with an older patient. I sat there for 15 minutes and watched her struggle to draw blood. She was the ONLY employee working there. This is absolutely unacceptable. I'm not the biggest fan of drawing blood, so watching her with the older gentleman made me sick. I left in a hurry. read more
