History

Quentin Home Inspection LLC was founded by Joseph Quentin Sr. on Kauai, built on over 30 years of hands-on experience in construction, contracting, and property work. That background is what separates a Quentin inspection from a checklist walk-through. Joe holds the Certified Master Inspector® designation through InterNACHI — the highest credential in the industry — and has been BBB Accredited since 2018. Joseph Quentin Jr. joined as an ICA Certified Inspector, making us one of the only multi-inspector CMI-led firms on Kauai. We are locally owned, family operated, and committed to the same standard on every inspection — whether it's a starter condo in Kapaa or an oceanfront estate on the North Shore.

Meet the Business Owner: Joseph L.

After decades in construction and contracting, I kept seeing the same thing buyers, closing on homes with serious issues that a trained eye would have caught. I started Quentin Home Inspection because Kauai deserves better. Island homes are unique — the humidity, the trade winds, the post-Iniki repairs, the aging infrastructure, the way moisture works its way into everything over time. You need an inspector who understands how these homes were built and what breaks down in this environment specifically. Thirty years running crews, and working on properties across Hawaii gave me that knowledge. Starting this business was a way to put it to work for buyers who deserve straight answers not a report designed to keep everyone comfortable and close the deal. My son Joe Jr. joining the business made it personal in a different way. This is something we're building together, for our community, on the island we call home.
