I am so happy to finally have a place to go nearby to watch a football game or grab a glass of wine with a friend. This place was MUCH needed in our area and I hope it sticks around! Great great beer selection! Decent wine list, though you can bring in a bottle from the store next door and pay a corkage fee. The Owner, Mike is a nice as can be. The service staff could use a boost and pay a little more attention to guests. The whole downfall is the food menu! It just isn't good at all. They must not have a full kitchen so the food seems to be microwaved. The wings were just awful! The "flatbread" pizza is actually served on a tortilla...the same that come with the quesadilla ...the home made pita chips are thick and hard! The dips that come with are just eh...the open face roast beef is, well, pretty gross looking...and just ish. What I don't understand is why the sub/sandwich menu from next door isn't on the menu? We love going there but it's hard to really get behind it because the food is just so bad. Will definitely be going again, my hubby not as interested as I, because of the food ...and one of the couples we went in with will not be back...bad food and ummm...NO LIMES for the Coronas...seems picky but if you are a true Corona fan u want a lime...just sayn... read more

Excellent selection of beer here. Pretty knowledgable staff also. I went in last month and realized they added a small bar next door. They've got a bunch of different brews on tap. This was a nice find. I saw their craft beer and wine sign while driving by and decided to stop in. One side is a craft beer and bottle shop. The other side is a bar/tap room. They had some pretty awesome and hard to find beers on tap. It is a low key place and the staff was nice and knowledgeable about the beer. read more

As a former bartender at a very popular establishment and a beer and wine enthusiast I can tell you Quench! is a place you MUST visit. When I moved to this area 4 years ago there was very little in the area that was worth frequenting. Now that Quench! has moved in there is definitely a destination attraction. Montgomery County struggles to get high quality selection at reasonable prices due to county regulations but this place finds a great balance. I have brought many friends here and they have all left jealous that a place this good was so close to my home and had free easy parking. I have to comment on the reviews that claim the staff is unfriendly (Dan H and Cecil C). I have been to Quench! Dozens of times and have never seen the staff be anything but welcoming and enthusiastic. As a former bartender I know that bar staff will always treat you the way they are treated, If you treat them poorly they will turn the other cheek for a while (because they are trying to earn a living) but eventually they will return the favor. If you live in the area or are near the area take my advice. Stop in. You won't regret it. read more

Would not recommend..the place smells like foul cooking oil when you walk in..beer and wine is old..wherever they get their beverages from have definitely been sitting around somewhere for awhile... bought skunked beer there before don't know why i ever have gone back..bought a white wine yesterday it was like $11 for the bottle went home opened it poured half a glass to try..i can tell right away it was funky..so go in to try to return it for refund or to try another bottle of something..i was told in a very rude and unprofessional way that they would have to take my number and contact their vendor..they cant give me a refund or exchange...?..your a business owner..someone isn't happy with something shouldn't you try to make it right? Not basically say you shit outta a bottle of wine and 11 bucks..wtf?...anyway wouldn't step foot again in there..if it were the last place to buy beer or wine.. beware..also there is a restaurant if you want to call it that attached to this joint..beware went there a few years ago food was overpriced and of poor quality french fries were soggy freezer burnt and baked. A friend and I had to meet between his country home and DC and he picked Quench! The drinks are really adventurous and I loved "Sex in The Suburbs". The Oysters were good though the batter crumbled when they were dipped in the sauce. (that's why 4 stars). My Crab entree was tasty and more than enough to eat. This is the only place i know of with a large craft beer selection. I've been coming here every onceeeee in a while because the prices are kinda high. But when we wanna be fancy and splurge on special craft beers, this is our place! The other day we came here around 330/4 pm to grab a quick bite. This is the first time we sat in the "tap room" area. There was a large party at the bar when we got there. There were no signs for hh specials or anything like that. We ordered two beers and two sandwiches. The fiancé ordered some monk beer and a cheesesteak. I ordered a Brewers art stout and a Reuben. I enjoyed my Reuben. There wasn't much meat, just the perfect amount for a me. The bread was nice and crusty. It had the perfect amount of sauce, cheese and sauerkraut. Really liked my beer- fiancé said it tasted like coffee (not a coffee drinker). His cheesesteak was just okay. I don't think he hated it or loved it. We ate and asked for the check. When the bill came we were surprised. There was a hh special! We got a dollar or two off each beer. read more

Well, I glowed about this place to so many people that I feel at least partly responsible for their success. Now I am regretting it (just a little). We occasionally ordered their sandwiches for lunch and didn't feel too badly about it because we were supporting a local business and the prices were reasonable. I held onto their menu and noticed that the prices seemed to be going up a little each time we ordered. This is to be somewhat expected, but I think they've gotten a little out-of-control now. Today's order of 3 sandwiches, 3 bags of chips, and 3 sodas amounted to $35.86. The exact order on their printed menu from 2 years ago was $22.37. That's more than a 50% increase in cost per person. Although the food is still good, it's a lot to spend $12 on a takeout lunch of sandwich, chips, and a soda. You used to add $1.79 to the price of the sandwich for chips & a drink. Today, it was $1.69 for the drink alone, plus an additional $1.15 for chips. They may be pricing their neighbors out... read more

Quench Tap Room is a great place to stop after work with co-workers or to get together with friends. Very good food, huge selection of wines and craft beers plus some domestic beers. Mike the owner is a really good guy who gets to know the customers and the bartenders are always really friendly. I try to stop here about once a week and always have a great time. read more

Quench! carries Upper Crust bread on Fridays. I called Friday afternoon to see if they had any left AND THEY WOULDN'T TELL ME!! Apparently, this is because it is first come first served. I wasn't asking them to save me a loaf, I get what first come first served means. I would take my chances if I knew that they had bread before I left home (not a short drive). Great little tap room attached to a beer and wine store with a huge selection of craft beers. Food was surprisingly good, with large portions and reasonable prices. 20 different beers on tap, 2 nitro taps, couple I had had before, several I had wanted to try and a bunch i is never heard of before. I am too young to tell you about the beer and wine so I thought I would comment about the other amazing aspects of Quench! Personally, I love that there is a family feel to the store. You can tell as soon as you walk in that you are their number one priority. Quench! has the most amazing sandwiches I have EVER tasted!!!! I always enter and get any of the sandwiches, a salad, a drink, and top it off with a desert/chips. The food at Quench! isn't like the "quality" meat at other convenient stores. The food is actual quality food and great fresh meat and veggies. It doesn't just sit there for days waiting for someone to order, but it is freshly made for each customer. The owners don't try to feed you their food and eat somewhere else like places like 7 11 or other convenient stores, but they eat the food they make. Also, the ordering system is very helpful for pick up and delivery. And last but not least, the owners at Quench! don't leave their business to other people, but come in every day to get to know their customers on a personal level to ensure perfect customer service.
