A new surgery needs to be provided on peninsula and surgery should advise patients what local peninsula pharmacies can offer under nhs..blood tests??

I have needed them twice and they have been efficient and helpful. The appointments seem to be more or less on time. I rarely waited more than 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment. You have to book in advance but they do give you an option to be seen on the day if urgent. I actually find the level of service at this surgery to be quite good.

They cannot do enough to help you and really work there hardest to accommodate you and see you if it's emergency. The whole practice is a breath of fresh air and I would advise anyone thinking of joining with Sobell to go ahead and do it. I moved to the UK (from the US) two years ago, and had a rocky start, but when I found these guys... they listen to you, aren't super rushed, and give you what you need to get better. And they seem to always have short-notice appointments. My doctor (Yay, Dr. Gill!) even rang me after a week to give me some further information. Brilliant. (though now I've probably ruined it by getting you people to move to the 'hood and sign up. They should still be acknowledged, though.)

Apparently, only a tiny number of people are allowed to be ill each morning and afternoon, because once those appointments are gone, that's it. No flexibility, no effort to accommodate, just "try again tomorrow" as if people's lives revolve around this system. Honestly, it's impressive how something so essential can be run so poorly. Apologies for my English, but the service here is beyond frustrating.

And I get a different gp with every appointment I go to. Now I hear that this is fairly standard and I normally wouldn't be bothered by this cause Im not normally sick. But with my Crohn's I need to do follow up appointments with them instead of going to my specialist in Harrow. And so they make life difficult and frustrating. And some of the doctors are smart asses who know nothing of IBD's. Grrrr.

For one thing, it's open 'til 8 pm on weeknights and it opens on saturday mornings, meaning you don't have to take time off work to consult a doctor. They also have a service which allows you to book your appointment online, which is handy as the phone is often engaged. Since moving into the area in June, I've always found it easy to get an appointment within a couple of days. The first time, I wanted advice on vaccinations I would need to travel to China and got an appointment that afternoon. I was seen by a lovely nurse who advised me on the vaccines I'd need, worked out the cheapest way for me to get them, and administered them there and then! When I went to consult a doctor, I found him attentive and friendly, which put me at my ease immediately. There's a chemist right next door too, making it easy to get your prescriptions. If you need a doctor in Wandsworth, this is the place to go!

I found a serious lack of ethical care, especially around informed consent and communication. Procedures were done without clear explanation or discussion of options, and I was not involved in decisions about my treatment. The billing was confusing and non-transparent, with unexpected double charges (one for the doctor, one for the clinic - both, overpriced). When I raised concerns, the response was slow, dismissive and disrespectful towards the patient, including repeatedly mischaracterising reasons for concern. This isn't about my diagnosis or outcome--it's about respecting patients' rights to clear, honest information and involvement in their care. Unacceptable.

They have nine doctors and inclusive opening hours, with appointments available on Saturday mornings. Till 8.30 pm on Wednesdays and from 7am three days a week making it convenient and easy to visit. Unlike many doctors in London you are usually offered an appointment the same day and the helpful receptionists and administration staff will do their best to accommodate you. The surgery is slick and efficient and the staff are always friendly and honest. If you live locally I would recommend that you sign up with these doctors immediately
