I was looking for a nail salon that was affordable in the area. Looking at the pictures on yelp, I…read morethought that NAILD was a cute & hip shop super close to my place. It's a small shop located in the same complex as Marshals and CVS so there is lots of parking. The shop is appointment only so make sure to make one in advance! I was able to text them and got a reply really quickly. When I walked in, there were already three customers getting their nails done, so they seemed confused as to why I was there. I was a little sad because in past reviews it said they offer you mimosas, champagne, or tea, and I wasn't asked for a drink. Not a deal breaker, but I had expectations from previous reviews. They offer tons of different services, but I opted for the Treat Yo Self mani pedi which is $53, $64 with tip. The salon itself is clean, and the decor is cute and minimal. They have pictures on the wall with cute quotes, and the chairs are wooden seats. They bring water basins to your seat if you're getting a pedicure which was very cute! Taylor did my feet, while Maile joined later to do my nails. The Treat Yo Self Mani comes with a homemade lemon scrub and massage. My feet were really dry, so I hoped they would get off all the dead skin. I love the shape of my nails, and they did spend a lot of time massaging and cleaning. However, I think that it wasn't worth the $53. I'd rather opt for the regular mani pedi for $40 instead. They have a $3 credit card/debit card charge, but they waived the fee for me since it was my first time! Overall a good experience, I'd be back for the basic services. They also have a stamp card, once you fill it up you can get a free manicure or half off gel nails.

They have large individual chairs with plenty of space from other customers so you can enjoy a real personal experience. They offer you complimentary herbal tea or a mimosa, which is a great compliment to an already relaxing experience. The music is bomb! Super chill soul & neo soul music, which adds to the cool, down-to-earth vibes. The owners are a mother/daughter duo, Kat & Kirsten. They are very nice and professional as is the rest of the team. They have a large selection of quality colors, and they offer deluxe mani and pedicures that include this amazing custom made lemon sugar scrub. You leave here with fabulous nails, feeling pampered to the max! An overall awesome experience. *Service is by Appointment only*

Because I'd been going for years, I tried it on a few occasions since, but it was never the same without Robert. I do love Rashree, who's always called me by name and been super nice to me, but she's never available when booking online. Instead, I've been worked on by a revolving set of nail techs, ranging from good to terrible. In fact, the last pedicure I had done there, all of my nail polish peeled off within 3 days. On top of that, when I walked into the salon for my last visit, I was met with attitude from the girl with blue hair, which I really didn't appreciate. It was awkward and uncomfortable. The only way I'd come back now is if Robert returned. Despite having accrued lots of points for years of visits, I had to come to the sad decision to move on.

Unexpected Charges and Lack of Transparency…read more I booked my appointment in person on Tuesday 7/15 because I wasn't sure what to select online for Gel-X removal. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.
