Call in if you're looking to attend class soon, but stick to email if your inquiry isn't urgent. It does take some time for them to get back to you because they have so many people to get back to. I reached out via email because I wanted to take a hip hop class for fun but lack dance experience. The best thing about a private session is that tutors cater their lessons to suit your level and pace. After further consultation about the type of dance style and music I was interested in, they helped me book an appointment. I also wanted to note that I was being rather difficult due to a change in my schedule and went back and forth about attending the class. I initially asked for a refund but ultimately decided to attend and the staff were really understanding about it. A class costs about $100 not including other add-ons (music video editing and filming). If you decide to schedule a private session you should have the following information prepared -location you want the session at (you're responsible for renting the studio space if you choose Manhattan) -dates and time preferences for the session (classes are based on instructor availability which typically means most weekends during the afternoon or evening) -style of dance and music suggestions (instructor ultimately decides on the routine and song but you can tell them what you're looking for) Once you're booked you'll get a confirmation email and payment instructions. Payments must be made at least 2 days in advance before your class. GETTING THERE: You can take the F to Parsons and hop on the Q65 bus if you don't want to take the LIRR. I believe the F, 7, N, and Q can also take you there but expect to do a couple of transfers if you don't live in the area. I'm hours away from the flushing location but I made the trip based on reviews. I'm not confident enough to perform in groups and decided a private session would be a good way to start. I heard how welcoming and friendly the instructors and students are at this place so decided to give it a shot. THE LESSON: I just finished my private lesson with Christina and I feel empowered. We danced to Ariana Grandes God is a Woman which was originally prepared for one of their intermediate classes. Her choreography really had me feelin myself. I have two left feet and at times got really nervous trying to be technically accurate but Christina was so patient with me and gave excellent tips on how to loosen up and enjoy dance. She broke down all the steps clearly, slowly and then we practiced on an off with music. I definitely want to continue practicing and come back for lessons again. Also, as a heads up be sure to ask if you can record the session because they typically only record when you're done with the entire choreography. For those of you who are beginners as well, live close to Manhattan, and want to try group classes she recommends Ness and Fernando (my spelling might be inaccurate) if you're looking to learn upbeat hip hop style dance. They teach on Wednesday and Friday. Overall, this class really helped boost my confidence and it was worth the cost and trip.

It's around $120 for 4 weeks of classes and each class is an hour and a half long. That's a pretty sweet deal, if you ask me! Next, it's important to know that they have a class schedule that is updated monthly. They offer both salsa and bachata classes and different levels for each one. They have 5 different levels of salsa classes and 2 different levels of bachata classes. So whatever your skill level currently is, you should be able to find a class that works for you! Also, you don't need to have a partner to attend! The class starts by teaching the basic steps as individuals. When it's time for partner work, they have us start with a partner but then we rotate partners throughout the room! That said, if you're wanting a class where you stick with the same partner the entire time, this ain't it. However, if you're looking for a fun time, this is DEFINITELY it! Our instructor, Felipe, has been doing a fantastic job of teaching us! He's got a fun personality, which makes the experience that much better. Oh! The class sizes are small so the kids have a pretty good teacher to student ratio. I personally took an adult yoga class at their huge annex (a few blocks away) and was really impressed. This is not the type of teacher you should hire who steal your students. This review is for the voice teacher Elena Diaz. She promised me and my husband a recital when we first started. Initially my husband was a piano student of Alejandra at Juliet Music and she took him under her wing as her private voice student making him leave Juliet Music. I myself was a student of Juliet music and left to study privately under Elena because she said it would be better for me. She stole me from lessons at Juliet Music. She promised us a recital and other concerts to perform in but from 2013-2018 since we were with her nothing happened. She kept teaching us the same songs and our skills never got better. My husband went to her to study countertenor and tenor. She can't teach him the right way let alone going back and forth on two types of voices. This was really unfair. She forces us to sing karaoke songs from YouTube as our lessons. She had workshops which were all about money and not learning. She doesn't know how to teach the music and harmony. She personally has something against my husband because he was the only one who questioned her. We continued to sing the same songs over again. She didn't know how to drive so many times she had me drive her around for free. Places like from her house to Juliet Music which is ironic since I was a student of Juliet Music, to a wedding we're not invited to where she made us sing without practice, and the college recital of one of her other students which she always describes as "hot". She also talks about getting pregnant with her boyfriend during group practices in front of others. This is sexual harassment. She said this in front of young girls and should not be tolerated. She is too friendly with her students and it's as if she's crossing the line. When I first came to her she said I was a soprano so I thought that she would train me. After 5 years with her I never had a performance or recital. Neither did my husband. And I never learned how to sing soprano. In the end my husband did not learn any of the right skills to improve I don't think she ever had an intention of giving us success. My husband and I sing in church where we are well experienced and she had the nerve to teach us songs we've been singing all our lives. Many times my husband and I want to do duets. She can't even figure out the harmonies. She also forced us to watched the recital of her favorite student who has nothing to do with us. Also a wedding in the city who we don't know at all. She wants us to do what she wants because we're "friends" and she wants me to drive her. I was being used for my kindness. She's takes advantage of people especially through her lessons. I really feel that Elena Diaz is not a good teacher and should be terminated.

The studio is bright, clean and spacious with floor to ceiling windows which have views of the Manhattan skyline.

This place is a total scram. To this day I still have not receive my initial payment. going to sue this business for false advertising and failure to disclose refund policy and registration/activity fee.
