You can see the transformation take place. My daughter went from being a shy 4 year-old in pre-ballet, to a confident 5 year-old on stage in front of a packed audience performing ballet/jazz. Sure, the elevator is maddeningly slow, (take the stairs), and the website is a bit of a spazz. And though new parents are hit with an almost overwhelming amount of information leading up to the photo days, mandatory dress rehearsals, and dance recitals, there's a reason this studio has lasted a decade in the community. At the center is a group of dance instructors, and an owner that cares deeply for the success of the children that enter this studio. You can see the evidence of this in the friendships that flourish, and the bonding that takes place in the rehearsal space, in between classes, at community outings, and on stage. Both my daughter and now, my son are students here and we are so pleased with the studio. The staff cares for the kids as their own. The atmosphere is full of respect, love and kindness towards the students. My kids actually love going to dance class each week. The online registration and payment system makes everything neat and organized and self-service. They often have little fundraiser nights for things such as, recently, Dance Studios affected by Hurricane Florence, where they collected old shoes and had a movie and dance party for the kids while the parents got to enjoy a few hours on a Friday night sans kids. They are socially responsible and instill those values as well. Even the vending machine caters to healthy snacks rather than sugary treats. The annual show gets better and better every year both from an organizational standpoint as well as a dance showcase. I am so happy that my kids are here, there's no place better!
