Terrible food and a very poor experience. I will never go back to Queen's Bush Pub! It had always had a pretty good reputation but after my experience I do not recommend this place to anyone! I ordered the fish and chips for a lunch with a friend and it was terrible Basically it was a larger sized version of a Capt. Highliner frozen and baked fillet! I am not one to waste food as know if I refuse it, it will be thrown away. I did however share with the owner how aweful the food was when he asked about our meal. When I told him that the fish n chips were aweful, all he did is smirk, grin and chuckle, and then walk away! How aweful is that type of treatment of a customer! That is not an owner who cares about his customers! After when the bill came I told the waitress that fish and chips at a restaurant should not be a breaded and baked Capt. Highliner frozen fish fillet. She noted that "the menu doesn't say hand battered", and she also said she didn't note it in her list of customer favorites. She also pointed out that they can't do make them hand battered anyway as they don't have a deep fryer! What restaurant/Pub doesn't have a deep fryer, other than a preassenble place like a Tim Hortons. They use an air fyer! If that is the case then DO NOT OFFER FISH AND CHIPS! She also did not offer any thing off the price. That is terrible service response, and the qualtiy of the frozen, air fried fish was just as bad! My friend's butter chicken was also not recommended. Very bland! So sad as it is a nice looking place! read more

Reminds me of Desiderius' quote "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king". Relatively cheap beer check, coolish decor check, pub feeling check. So if you are looking for a good place to grab a pint with some friends, yes this fits the bill. However, If you want to eat something or have kids in tow then avoid this place. We ordered a few things which are expensive once you see what you get, from the burnt small antojitos to the how much is this pizza again? Surprisingly the salads were loaded. At the end the bill was quite high considering the low alcohol consumption and the feeling of that was some questionable overpriced items. read more

Walking up the stone pathway sets the mood. The patio looks like it would be cool in the summer as is faces the street and isn't barricade by a giant fence. The interior design has a real old inn feel. It's all wood with a rustic touch. Server was very friendly, charming and helpful. Soups came out quick as they should. Everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves and their food. I wouldn't exactly recommend the asiago artichoke chicken wrap. The chicken was little strips like a subway sandwich. It's not too hard to grill a piece of chicken and slice it into a wrap. The side of potato skins was only 2 potatoes which seemed underwhelming considering another persons mountain of nachos as their side. Menu options were classic pub starters and sandwiches. It's the first pub I've ever been to that doesn't list fries as a side option, but nachos and salsa instead. Upgrade to different salads like oriental or potatoes skins. I also noticed popcorn for the guests and peanut bowls at the bar. The place had character that's for sure. I want to like it more but the quality of that wrap left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I have been a patron of the Queens Bush since it had originally opened, unfortunately the decline in the last year has put an end to that. This evening As I was sitting in the restaurant being ignored by a snotty waitress (who informed me earlier "she was not a bartender" and not to expect too much) I watched in horror the cook eat food off the pass (open kitchen) not was his hands and proceed to wipe his nose on the back of his hand. I was served the wrong wine, and when I brought that to my servers attention was presented with hostility and a blatant eye roll. I do understand there was no bartender present, but the utter disorganization and lack of training can not be excused. I am sorry to say that I will not be returning. read more

Liza is the coolest waitress, she was great. The ambience is pleasant and comfortable, especially for someone open until 01:30. The food, leaves something to be desired: $3.00 orange juice might be six ounces and clearly watered down The anjito (sp) was good but even my gf says "that's not $9" The grilled club was cold :( Veggie wrap was soggy and way too many mushrooms :( read more

We stopped in here for lunch one day when in Hanover. The pub is a really nice old house that they have converted into a bar. The place is really nice. They have lots of cool old pictures of Hanover all over the place. I ordered the Queens Bush Platter I believe (Chicken Wings, Potato Skins, Garlic Bread and Roasted Vegetables) It was fantastic. I have been here many times both for lunch and for drinks. They have a good lunch menu with easy to make items that are really tasty. I enjoy many of the salads, wraps and soups. Their drinks are always on point as well. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Excellent atmosphere, good drink choices, clean bar, and really nice patio, nice staff. Food was good, but.... On the downside, food is over priced, and I left hungry. I ordered a sandwich, and had the optional potato skins as a side for an additional $3. Only 2 came with it and they were pretty small. Sandwich was tasty but was a very small portion. Great restaurant/pub for a town this size. Terrific wings/sauce. No deep fryer means no french fries, but that's definitely health(ier) for me. The burgers are also very good. Service and atmosphere exceed standards. read more

On my way up to the Bruce, I stopped in with my cousin for lunch, after being here 2 years prior. We were welcomed and seated almost immediately, our drinks were ordered and brought to us in a couple of minutes, and from the time we ordered food to when it was brought out to us, maybe 10 minutes had passed. Very fast service, great atmosphere and location. We ate on the patio and the outside garden hides you from the main street, but you're close enough to know that you're in the middle of town. Perfect location and portion sizes, very reasonable prices and top of the line service. Nothing bad to say! read more
