The Fox looked dark from the outside with no one on the patio, so I tried the door and saw, indeed, plenty of people within. I came, I ate, I conquered. The burger was done medium - as good as I can get in Canada - and just full of flavour. Great balance of toppings, a sandwich so mighty you can't get all ingredients in a single bite. The fries are toasty but soft, a nice natural taste. Most beers are your standard but there are a few Canadians on tap. I went for the Alexander Keith's but they said that was gone... replaced with Kawartha Lakes Red! Awesome. All at a nice price. Just a couple of downsides. I got a side of veggies with dip, but the bleu cheese tasted like citrus? I don't get it. I could and should have counted the veggies on my burger as enough. And the fries, you can use ketchup or vinegar at the table, but sauce costs extra. I didn't ask about mustard, I just ate fries. Finally, everything was great until karaoke started around 9 (may just be a machine they have for whoever puts in money whenever), but then my server somehow disappeared when I needed my check to come back and sleep. Burger and fries: 5 stars Ambiance: 4 stars. Besides karaoke, too many rooms to figure out. Service: 4 stars. Was 5 until the very end. Other foods: Not sure. I'm glad I chose what I did. So we'll put this at 4.

Only one bartender seem to be running her butt off while everybody else was standing around. The bathrooms are disgusting to say the least! How about cleaning the bathroom stall walls from time to time? The food is decent, but nothing special. Took almost 15 minutes to get the bill, which was 10 minutes longer than it should have been. We arrived about 5:30 on a Thursday afternoon, and the one end of the bar was just full of old drunk men. My God were they loud! Usually do not write reviews, but this place was recommended and was an absolute disappointment. Will never return!

My friend and I visited this place two weeks ago for their lunch buffet on a Saturday. Your meal is free if you go there during your birthday. You just have to show proof like a driver's license. It was my birthday that day so my meal was free. They staff were very friendly and took care of our orders really well. I think before for their buffet, they have a section where you can go and take the food. Since it's Covid dining, they have a new process where you fill-out a sheet. You select the dishes you want from three forms: appetizers, mains, and desserts. I definitely recommend getting the broasted chicken and their desserts. They have really good desserts stretching from pies, cakes, and tarts. The restaurants also serves as a store and sells baked goods. I bought pecan pie to my family and they absolutely loved it! There were so many whole pecans on the pie and very well distributed. I definitely recommend to go to this place!

I ordered the fish and chips for a lunch with a friend and it was terrible Basically it was a larger sized version of a Capt. Highliner frozen and baked fillet! I am not one to waste food as know if I refuse it, it will be thrown away. I did however share with the owner how aweful the food was when he asked about our meal. When I told him that the fish n chips were aweful, all he did is smirk, grin and chuckle, and then walk away! How aweful is that type of treatment of a customer! That is not an owner who cares about his customers! After when the bill came I told the waitress that fish and chips at a restaurant should not be a breaded and baked Capt. Highliner frozen fish fillet. She noted that "the menu doesn't say hand battered", and she also said she didn't note it in her list of customer favorites. She also pointed out that they can't do make them hand battered anyway as they don't have a deep fryer! What restaurant/Pub doesn't have a deep fryer, other than a preassenble place like a Tim Hortons. They use an air fyer! If that is the case then DO NOT OFFER FISH AND CHIPS! She also did not offer any thing off the price. That is terrible service response, and the qualtiy of the frozen, air fried fish was just as bad! My friend's butter chicken was also not recommended. Very bland! So sad as it is a nice looking place!
