I like the food here and the service is great. But the last time I went I only wanted to order one veggie sampler ($12) to share with my friend. We ended up getting charged $56. Apparently there was some misunderstanding with the ordering even though I said multiple times that I just wanted one veggie sampler. That's what he brought out to us but he had scooped on a little extra of each item and then charged us as if each item was a separate entree. One item on the lunch menu was $5. I just asked him what it was and then he ended up bringing it out. I said many times I was just asking what it is I don't want it. Apparently there is a language issue although I think he speaks much better English than he did a year ago. I think he should confirm the order with you so that you know what you're getting ahead of time. If I go again, I won't order without paying first just to make sure the order and total are correct. I'm not getting stuck with another $56 lunch. That's insane. I'm super angry. When we asked him about it he was unwilling to make any accommodations. read more

Decor is a little underwhelming, but this is the best Ethiopian food (Eritrean food is basically the same) in Tucson hands down. Only 100% teff injera unlike Zemams which serves crappy wheat pancakes they call injera. read more

I enjoy Ethiopian food and can say you'll be hard pressed to find anything like this place. Eritea is a small country you've probably never heard - I hadn't. Service was great. Ate amazing spaghetti of all things (turns out they're history was influenced by Italy) and excellent African coffee. Also something that starts with G that I don't know how to describe, but it's unique to Eritea and would recommend sharing because it's very filling. read more

Wow! How lucky are we that this terrific spot opened up on the east side of Tucson. When everything new opening up is a "concept" you can overlook the authentic ethnic cuisine in your neighborhood ... finally stopped in tonight to celebrate a birthday and we were not disappointed! Knew we loved Ethiopian but didn't know we'd also love Eritrean. Injera was tasty, beef was spicy, lentils were creamy and spinach was tangy... service at this family run place is great, too. Just ate at Queen Sheba yesterday with a friend. We shared a sampler plate combo of meat and veggie. It was awesome. The tastes were unique and nothing too spicy hot. I love anything with that sourdough taste and the injera crepes did not disappoint. I'll be back soon for sure. read more

This place is so sweet and cute and the food is just outstanding. We ordered three large portions and were given samples of the other things we didn't order. Our favorites of the vegetarian dishes were the cabbage (who would have guessed?!? Not us, that's for sure!), the potatoes, and the spinach. A small family run restaurant with simple decor but excellent flavors in the vegetarian and meat and chicken selections. Service was very friendly. Ordered a small vegetarian and small meat selection. More than ample for two to three people. Our preference was for the vegetarian selections. The potato was excellent and the cabbage was surprisingly equally good. The meat selections - lamb, chicken and beef (prepared in two different sauces) - were also very flavorful but thought they were a little dry if you did not have the sauce with them. There is no liquor list but bring your own bottle of wine and they will bring out glasses for you. If you are adventurous in your cuisine definitely stop by Queen Sheba. read more

Ok so this is easily the best restaurant on the east side of Tucson. My wife and I got a small veg combo and small meat combo. They were delicious, and came out in no time. This is a small, family-run operation - the food is home-cooked style Eritrean (similar to Ethiopian). They treated us very warmly, especially our two-year-old son. Given the very reasonable prices and delicious dishes, I would highly recommend this restaurant, which is probably in the top five for all of Tucson. read more

The food was delicious and the staff delightful. The waitress I had the night I went was adorable, so friendly. The gentleman who was the chef came out and wanted to know if I enjoyed the food. Nice personal touch. Great, friendly service and delicious food at a great value. I have a pretty good appetite and even at that couldn't finish my "small" version of the entree and went home with a box that fed me another meal! The main dish is accompanied by a chef's assortment of sides, all of which were tasty and a great opportunity to sample different things that must might be "what next". I loved eating with my fingers and the fact that the injera (fermented teff-based flatbread upon which the medley of food is served and is used to eat with) is supposed to be gluten free, it's a nice option for those who are watching that for whatever reason. Plenty of vegetarian options as well as meat so everyone can find something. Heartily recommend Queen Sheba. Help keep these folks open, they deserve the support! I don't consider myself a foodie and won't be able to talk in detail about the meat combo that I shared with friends. Just let me say that I had some of everything and it was all amazing. The flavors and spices were delicious, the whole meal was a new experience for me and I want to take all the meat and potato regulars to enjoy, live on the wild side and have some delightful food with me. Queen Sheba is a great place to try tasty authentic Eritrean cuisine. I had no idea what to expect when I first tried this restaurant. The food portions are very generous and are served family style on a large pizza pan sized plate covered with fresh injera. In addition to your ordered entree, you are served small portions of delicious sides, like spinach, lentils, Eritrean-style potatoes and other tasty teasers. For those of you who like a spicy tang option (I do not), you can choose several degrees of heat in your choices. I prefer the mild, which still has a hint of flavorful tang, which I'm told is integral to cuisine of the region. There are a few choices on the menu that indicate they do not come truly mild. I've tried all the mild selections and love them all. Surprisingly, there are several vegetarian options. The salad is amazing! What a generous serving, made fresh to order, with lots of diced avocado and tomatoes. Salad lovers must try the salad. (There is only one dressing for this salad.) What I thought was an unusual offer is the spaghetti with meat sauce, obviously an influence from the time when Italy tried to colonize the region. It is not your typical spaghetti. The portion is much too large for one person so be prepared to take some home (same with the salad). My favorite of all is the Ga'at, also known as Genfo. It's a must try.
