We got the BBQ chicken ($74.99) which came with either rice or fries (or you could do half/half), salad of your choice (we opted for fattoush), 2 dips of your choice (we chose baba ghanoush & muhammara), 4 fresh pitas & a whole chicken. Restaurant has a lot of parking and seating. Staff were nice but it was a bit of a slow service (had to constantly ask for things, such as cutlery, plates, etc). The washroom had the A/C on blast and it was freezing cold but at least it was clean. Now for the food - everything we had was pretty good. I usually don't like garlic sauce but the one that came with the food was pretty creamy and delicious. As for the baba ghanoush, it didn't taste like it but it still had a nice flavour. The Muhammara was amazing, not overly spicy. As for the fattoush, I found it just OK. I've had better ones elsewhere and I find that it lacked the crispy pita bites, as there was only a few. However, it's worth noting that the chicken took around 30-40 minutes to be ready, which I didn't mind because it came well seasoned and well done. It was not too dry, but not juicy either but seasoned well. The rice was also ok and I like that the food wasn't too greasy, but the plate came with way too many onions... I am a retired Air Force Captain, a veteran of the Gulf War, and that evening I was joined by my brother and our spouses, we all choose to drink red wine. After enjoying dinner and ordering our second bottle of wine, a female manager approached our table to ask how we were getting home. I explained that my wife and I were staying at the Delta Hotel across the street and walked here and were walking back, while my brother mentioned that his daughter would be picking them up. Later, when we ordered a fourth bottle of wine to enjoy with dessert, the same manager returned and refused to serve us, claiming that it would amount to "one bottle per person" and could "put us over the limit." In all my 64 years, I have never been refused service ever -- especially while being responsible, polite, and transparent about our arrangements. Feeling insulted and unwelcome, we decided to take our business to the Delta Hotel, where we were treated with courtesy and common sense. Its a cylinder shaped pastry filled with cheese. Doesn't come with a lot. I probably wouldn't get again. Grape leaves: My friend LOVED these but I personally didn't. It didnt come with many though so its a bit pricier! All the "on-the-house" appetizers are delicious and fun to eat. My favourite is the beet one. The tea is amazing as well. Firstly- the service was extremely slow (we waited for about 20 mins before being spoken to). Once we ordered our two meals (gyro dinner meal and chicken shawarma meal) we were informed there was no more rice. When we asked when it would be ready we were told not for at least 30 mins. We decided to just have an extra helping of potatoes instead. As we were waiting we noticed the microwave going for 3 mins. Once the microwave finished, they pulled the potatoes out of it (in a styrofoam container) and dumped it into our meals. The microwave was practically on the floor and we were pretty annoyed that they didn't even cook the potatoes fresh. None the less we paid and took the food home. As we were eating it my husband found pieces of bone, spine and cartilage in his chicken shawarma. It was a very disappointing experience and we didn't even up eating half of our food. The first time we ate there the food was great (hence the 2 stars). Now we won't be back.
