I've only had great experiences at Queen Nails. Their dedication to cleanliness is obvious. Lee is my nail tech, and he does a great job. I've never had a gel manicure last so long. I have a sensitive big toe issue that my previous nail tech didn't deal with well, but Lee does and my toe doesn't hurt between pedicures like it used to. It's usually a quiet atmosphere, which I appreciate. They have a big screen TV that plays romance movies, which I never watch at home but get intrigued with while I'm there. As a recent transplant to st Pete from NYC I was very impressed with the full service and attention I received at queen nails. I walked in with no appointment and was instantly in a chair. I plugged in my ear buds, reclined my chair, and closed my eyes while one woman buffed my tired feet and another began work on my hands. I was worried at first that since I was getting my mani and pedi simultaneously this wonderful dream would be over in a matter of minutes. This was not the case and I received a full hour of attention with little to no questions. I went here since it had excellent reviews, but I just thought it was just middle-of-the-road. When I walked in, the staff was very nice. However, the room was so hot! They need to turn on the AC. I had acrylic nails that needed to be taken off. Usually I keep them on super long where I don't need to even soak them for removal. Most of the time, they will pop them off with another fake nail by running a fake nail between my nail and my fake nail. She didn't do this. Instead she took them off with her plier-like tool. It took quite a while to do it that way. I ended up not having enough time to get my nails done again because of this. I then got a pedicure. The lady who did the pedicure was also very slow! They look fine, but it shouldn't take 2 hours to get in and out of there when I was the only person in the shop. One thing I did like was the carifin nail soaking process with the bags. That was new and enjoyable. My nail beds feel healthier. read more

My friend and I biked to Queen Nails while we were staying in St. Pete's Beach. This nail salon is an absolute hidden gem! The ladies who run the salon are very sweet and my friend and I had a great conversation with them. The gel polish and acrylic applications took longer than I have experienced at other salons but they make sure to apply them very carefully. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. Their super clean. I go there all the time for fills and pedicures and they never mess up, my nails are always perfect. The one downside is that they don't have a ton of colors to choose from, they have a selection but it's not that big, so if u have a specific color in mind you might want to bring it with you. read more

Pleasantly surprised. My hubby and I both got pedicures. He just got a "manly one" and he said he enjoyed it and the massage pedicure chair. Mine was pretty good as well. They cleaned up my cuticles and such decently, and had an ok leg/foot massage. My nails were painted well, Tran took good care in the detail. It was $56 for both of our pedicures. So moderately priced. The place is on the smaller side, 4 manicure stations and 4 pedicure stations. The staff was polite and friendly; and the salon was clean. They did not rush through our pedicures so I really enjoyed that. I hate going to places where they are just in a hurry to get you in and out, as quick as possible. Went there for destination wedding manicure and powder dip nails. Took over 2 hours as technician got wrong color ( they have very few color dip selections) and instead of removing wrong dip put lighter dip over it. Nails looked awful. I had already spent too much time on this so I left. When I got home, I went to my nail specialist and she took pictures as she couldn't believe how awful it was. She said person who did it didn't know how to do it. She spent a lot of time removing all of it. So maybe Queen Nails are better at usual nail services, but should leave the powder dipping to the professionals. read more

I went to Queen Nails a couple of days before my wedding with one of my bridesmaids. It was a destination wedding so we didn't know of a good place to get our nails done. Kim welcomes us right in and we had about 5 people working on both our toes and fingers at the same time. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helped us relax (amongst the stressful wedding preparation that was happening!)... they even let us try a couple of different nail colors and redid them if we didn't like it. Since I was making my own flowers and decorations, Kim assured me that I could come back in if anything needs touching up. While I did not have time to get touch ups before the wedding, I stopped in the day after so that my nails could look fresh for my honeymoon. Kim was so amazingly nice and would not allow me to tip her or anything. And she was so much fun to talk to!!! Such a great place. Would absolutely recommend. read more

My first time at this nail salon. Fantastic! I had a pedicure that was wonderful. Massage chair, keratin wrap, Hot towel, massage your feet and legs, and such great care in cutting your toenails, filing, etc. Everything went so well, I decided to get a manicure also. This service was awesome! I truly felt pampered. While I was getting a manicure, my rings were placed into a cleaning solution. She rinsed and lightly brushed my rings for me and they were sparkling. Just part of the great service. I felt like the women really cared for you as a person and was not rushed at all. If I could give them 10 stars I would! At first glance this salon doesn't appear to be super up to date but it is actually quite the gem! The salon is very clean and comfortable on the inside. They rubbed our legs and hands for a very long time and the mani/pedi included a ton of extras such a a scrub and keratin treatment. The price was very reasonable at 40$ for a mani/pedi. This nail salon is my favorite on the beach! It has been at this location for many years, under the same ownership! The proprietors are friendly and very focused on pleasing their clients. Everything is clean and tools are sterilized. I have been to other salons here on the beach, but they don't compare to Queen Nails! In addition to being reasonably priced, Queen Nails does an excellent job, be it a mani, pedi, fill-in,etc. For an extra $5, the warm oil "gloves" are divine and leave your hands feeling soft and rejuvenated!No matter the technician...The "Queen", her hubby or her Mom, you will love being pampered along with relaxing, spa-like music. This may not be the most elegant salon on the beach, but it is by far the best, in my opinion. My fill-ins hold up very nicely, time after time.Some of the other salons on the beach actually charge more if the period of time since your last appointment is more than 2 weeks! I have recommended QN to a number of friends and they, like me, have made it their go-to nail salon. QN is located across the street from Mickey D's, in a tiny strip mall. Remember: They do not charge inflated "tourist" prices. QN is a gem! read more
