So where do I start. They were all very nice. Don't get me wrong, but the service they offer is.. horrible. So I went in with an idea in mind. FILLS, Design on two fingers and Matte coat. MADE VERY CLEAR. let's just say the design was UNRECOGNIZABLE, respectfully. He tried HE REALLY DID. And then, when he went to remove it off, he left some of the white color from the design on the nail, painted it with CLEAR polish and just kept it moving. When I asked him if it was MATTE he's like "yea yea.... oh no clear"...... ok... fine. People make mistakes... I went to my hotel. And my nail BROKE! Not even 24 hours later. They were willing to repair it for free if I would come back at a certain time.. I just couldn't. IM ON VACATION! I work 65 hrs a week and HARD FOR MY MONEY. Pedicure = 4 stars Price paid = 2 stars Overall: 3 stars Quick tips: They accept Mastercard and VISA, but not Amex or Discover, etc. This place is a little hard to find. It's in the same plaza as PJ's but you have to drive around to the far side of the building/parking lot. It is there next to Steam. I was in St. Pete Beach on a business trip and decided to stay for the weekend to relax and unwind a little, which of course meant that I'd need a pedicure. Since I was staying on Gulf Blvd and hadn't rented a car, I needed a place not too far away. So I turned to Yelp and found this place listed, but no reviews. Being the pioneer that I am, I decided to give them a try. I called and made an appointment. They will accept walk-ins, but have a sign up that says they prefer appointments. They also have a sign up (apparently they're big into signs, LOL) that says something like, "If you like our service, tell others. If you don't, tell us." Here I go... This is an Asian-run salon with 2-3 manicure stations and 2 pedicure chairs. My appointment was with "Nicole", who is young, very friendly and very chatty. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my appointment and was seated at my appointment time. While I was waiting, I browsed through a price list of services and estimated that my "spa pedicure" would cost $35 before tip -- $30 for the pedicure, plus $5 extra for a special dry skin treatment I was going to ask them to add. I was seated in the pedicure chair. The water was luke warm (I like mine hot) and Nicole forgot to turn the jets on, so I basically soaked my feet in a still tub of lukewarm water. (Granted, I could have said something, but I didn't.) The pedicure itself was great; she did a thorough job on my soles and my polished toes looked perfect. When I got to the register, however, I was charged $40 before tip. (I can't imagine what the extra $5 was for.) Again, my fault that I didn't ask. (On a side note: I witnessed a walk-in customer stop in to ask if she could get a pedicure. The other woman who worked there (not Nicole), who appeared to be the owner, was not very friendly towards the prospective customer and told her to come back in 15 minutes. Much to my surprise, the woman did return about 30 minutes later. I probably wouldn't have come back if I were her, based upon the shop owner's cool response. BTW, it was this same "owner" woman who charged me the $40.) After leaving the spa, a woman stopped me in the parking lot and asked me how I had liked the place. She said she'd never tried them before but saw me coming out and wondered what I thought. I responded, "They did a great job on my feet, but they're expensive." That about sums it up! read more

A hidden gem in St. Pete Beach! Very quaint, super clean salon. Easy to find and parking was plentiful. The staff was very friendly and made you feel relaxed. I had the citrus deluxe pedicure and it was amazing. You have to try this place, you will be so happy you did. My nails look great and I feel wonderful. read more

This is family owned and run. The owners are very nice and treat their clients well. They do a good job. BUT for those of us who live on the beach, they are way too expensive! And if the period of time since your last visit exceeds 2 weeks, they charge more! Since their prices are already on the high end, I find this to be outlandish! Tried it twice, but I'll stick with the salon I have gone to for many years. Sorry...tried it but....no can do. I can see trying to squeeze so much money out of a tourist, who they don't expect to see often, but those of us who live here are their bread and butter and they lost me! read more

I live in the area (8 miles from this shop), and have tried other places, but always go back to French Nails. Other shops, that are closer, may be a little less expensive, but the friendly and excellent service I receive from Tina draws me back every time! read more

I walked in today and started talking to one of the staff ( she had long hair) asking just a few questions because they were suggested to me by a local. The person- staff kept talking to me and walked into a back room so I guess it was the end of our conversation.. How rude!! by the way, no customers were in the salon. .
