The QE2 is where my secondary school first did track and field sports activities so I have history with this place but recently have been going to check out Enfield Town FC play football. It's a huge ground with a track around it.
In terms of football. Enfield Town FC is the UK's 1st supporter owned club, playing at The Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Enfield. It's pretty easy to get to with two train stations nearby too. This stadium has a rich history of hosting Olympic champions, with Linford Christie, Daley Thompson and Sebastian Coe all having graced this track
The Pavilion is an elegant Grade II listed building which was designed in 1939 and completed in 1953. In 2011 the building was fully renovated and restored as part of Enfield Town Football Clubs move to the stadium.
All in all for about £10 you get into ground and there is a lovely bar upstairs in main stand with friendly staff and many locals. 3 other small stands around ground too. A really modern venue that was recently furnished so it is well above league standard. read more
