The first time it was clear there was some issues they were working on, namely that very little on the menu was available and the service was a little over enthusiastic. Last night's visit was a complete change, everything was available, the food was beautiful and the service was great. I had the special which was a chicken supreme with a rich wild mushroom sauce, sautéed potatoes and shallots......to die for! Sticky toffee pudding to finish which was also beautiful but could have done with some ice cream instead of custard. Over all very impressed and delighted to have somewhere local worth eating in.

There are not so many nice places where you can go and have great food in a nice location in Eltham. So I thought this place will make a difference for Eltham. I was wrong. It's such a nice location in a park with a nice outside area, so I am dissapointed that it isn't used better. I was quite shocked when we saw the food menue: 5 sorts of baguettes with chips and salad for 5 Pounds. That's all. We went there 2 days after they re-opened. Wow, the service has room for improvement, to say it nicely. The barrista had to asked me 4 times what I want to order. They told us that the baguettes are sold out but that they offer sandwiches instead. Sandwiches for 5 Pounds! We got a refund at the end but anyway if you just offer baguettes you should make sure that you have enough of them. We had to wait for ages till we got everything and the quality was poor. I am not a salty eater, but even I had to add salt to my food. There were several guests in a wheelchair when we were there. The manager told one of the guests that they don't have disabled facilities. How can this be when they refurbished everything? Because it was two days after they opened I gave them 2 stars, otherwise it would be one. I will try them in another six month. I hope their service has improved by then. Otherwise, I am sure, there will be a new owner again.

The menu was full of tempting dishes, there was a huge slab of cow on the specials which we decided to share between the four of us. As it was so huge we skipped starters. This was a bad move because the cow took well over an hour to show up. We asked after it a few times, and were told it was coming in a way that gave us no confidence whatsoever. The staff were friendly but slightly devious in this way. When the food arrived, it was worth the wait. Really worth the wait. Beautifully cooked. Desserts were similarly excellent, as was the wine. I would give this place top marks if it were not for the waiting.

Great location an outside of London, the Greenwich tube station is right next door... easy to…read morenavigate and super affordable. Large room, kind sized very comfortable bed. Layout was difficult for me. Walking in is a small space with a toilet than around the corner neat the bed is the tub, separate shower and sink. So much space... different from a lot of other Europe stays. Restaurant bar in the main lobby I haven't tried it yet, but I'll be back in a week and will update.

This is the first time I've not fully enjoyed it. Issues are- locked bathrooms in lobby (inconvenient); room remained too hot the entire stay; noisy room (from DLR); no lotion; no variety to breakfast from day to day; after long flight- unable to check in early (Understand but just a point; had to keep checking- no offer to contact us when the room was ready); ....just fell short all around in product and service.

One of our last nights in London we stopped into The Bloomsbury Club…read more After being seated at the covered outdoor bar, the service was spectacular and I ordered (and enjoyed) a Dingle gin (just having been to Ireland and had a Dingle gin flavored ice cream that I loved) with a pineapple juice mixer and the honey ordered a mango fizz (which he adored). During our visit the musician Colin Andrew played/sang and he was amazing. With notes of Paolo Nutini, he really added to the overall vibe and made the night a hit. All in all I can't speak highly enough about The Bloomsbury Club drinks and vibe and would absolutely return in a second!
