I tend to enjoy watching games at QPR; the pitch is small and the action always seems to be fast paced.

They took my email. Didn't hear from them for a couple days, and I had to reach out to them. Ok fine. Ticket given but game cancelled because of the Queens funeral. Ok fine. Asked for ticket to be refunded and was told they couldn't and I would have to call them or come to the stadium. Honestly..I've put more work into this than the actual ticket office. Hard pass. Keep the £36, I've learned my lesson with this club.

First-Hand Experience: Well I've seen QPR play live, in person, 3 times total. Once against Oxford United, once against Liverpool, and once in a pre-season game. They're a proud club with more money than they should have. I respect them and appreciate them but they're not my fave, and don't play amazing football either. It's a rich little club in West London that is a rival of Chelsea and Fulham, and just got a lot richer with the new owners. However despite their wealth and a litany of excellent well known overpaid players, they keep getting relegated, and will probably be again this season. Formed in 1882, they play in blue and white hoops, and my brother once played for them in his imagination. His fave player was Les Ferdinand. They were runners up in the Prem back in 1976, and FA Cup runners up in 1982, but the only thing they've ever won is the League Cup in 1967, as well as runners up in 86 (go Oxford!). I have no affinity with this team whatsoever although their stadium does create an excellent atmosphere.

The male employee was inside cleaning alone, and we tried to stay out of the way so he could clean the huge mess in our row. My friend even helped him clean up by collecting trash and putting it in the trash bag. There was chocolate smeared on the seats and popcorn all over the floor. There were people in the other rows and he still cleaned their rows. As he left and more people came in, we realized he would not come back to clean our row. I went outside to ask another staff member if they could come in and clean the seat with chocolate smeared because we had to sit on it (it was a full house). She went and asked him and I overheard him say "well they came in early so I couldn't ask them to move so I could clean, so I'm not going in now because there's people there". The staff member came back to me and told us it was basically our fault for being there early and apparently "in the way". We didn't mind the mind the popcorn on the floor, but the seat was unable to be sat in. She told me we could move to the front, but those seats are priced at a lower cost than what we paid for. We just sucked it up and sat on a shopping bag, but I hope this employee never works a day in customer service ever again.

They also have lemon sorbet flavour ice cream which I never seem to find in other cinemas. However my fellow Qypers I just wanted to share the traumatic ordeal I experienced at Vue cinema in Sheperds bush screen 6! I arrived into the movie pretty late so i sat near to the front with my boyfriend. whilst watching the movie I noticed a dark shadow move across the cinema floor. At first I ignored it cause I didnt want to jump into conclusions. Not until when the cinema was slightly brightened and I saw a rat yes a rat! running around freely and I am sure there was more than one. I was not comfortable at all as I was constantly watching the floor and not the movie. I made a complaint to the manager and recieved some compensation but that is beside the point. I paid to watch a with my boyfriend not to watch a movie with my boyfriend and rats! So beware Qypers!

It has a lot of interesting decor and interior which keeps your eyes busy whilst you listen to acts on stage. It feels a little weird when you first go in, almost like a big town hall or empty art gallery rather than a gig venue which takes a little getting used to. The venue feels quite small too which is good as live performances feel intimate. The stage is raised to a decent height so that everyone gets a good view. The bar area is quite small and during busy times it might get a bit cramped and you might have to wait a little longer to get served. That isn't the fault of the staff who upon my visits have done an excellent job under difficult circumstances. There isn't much in the way of parking in the surrounding area as Bush Hall is on a main road. There are a good selection of buses and tubes which stop near the Green which is a short walk away.

I went on a whim because I was staying for a short visit close to the airport. I saw Albin Lee Maldau, he was terrific. And I really rate their selection and choices of films - the artier, more complex interesting side of Hollywood and lots of indy European films. Which tend to be much more inspired than our indy, left-of-centre film industry. So, you'll be watching films amongst other very cool people, who dig these things just like you. But I like that feeling, like, "yeah the Gate Cinema is good, just like this film. Is good - c'est bon uh?" Comme 'le gate'.

That's right you can buy alcohol at the bar when you buy your tickets so there's no messing around and getting there 4 hours before. They seemed unprofessional, & were completely out of line with how outside security had prepped us for how the doors opening process would be for the 02 line que. I was in line at 14:00, five hours before the listed doors time. My friends & I were the first people there & began the regular line. Security then informed us the 02 que line would be admitted first before the regular standing general admiss in ion line, so two groups of us changed to that line as we had 02 phone verification. What we had been told & how security organized us, never happened & at 19:03 all the doors opened at once. We never would've switched lines had we known. We should've been at the center of the very front inside the venue but instead were off to the sides because the standing GA line had a more direct path to the stairs & got down before we could. It is massively unacceptable that this happened! When I asked an inside security supervisor about it, she told me "we always open all the doors at the same time". I hope this review gets to someone with the power to influence the entire 02 Shepards Bush staff, inside & out, about how terrible their lack of internal communication at this otherwise marvelous event was!!

The server behind the door, a young guy with short cornrows, had a huge attitude: avoiding eye contact, muttering answers to my questions as if I was annoying him, and just being generally unpleasant. I walked away and waited for my order feeling as if I was the problem- for god forbid paying this establishment for food. I debated getting a juice as they were cheap at £3.20 but refused to give this place any more money. It also took FOREVER for my food to arrive, despite the place not being busy at all. It seemed the cooks and staff (including that horrid server) had better time joking behind the bar than working. I could imagine your food would take centuries if one came at a busy time. The roti itself was delicious: chock full of juicy prawns, chickpeas, veg and potatoes. The roti was firm enough to hold the goodies but soft to chew and delicious. Mild spice (and this is coming from someone who doesn't do spicy sadly). It's a shame the food (and the price at £7.95 for the huge roti) is so great bc the crud attitude means I would never return nor recommend anyone would. Good riddance.

Completed in 1888, the Romanesque red brick and terracotta building has been decribed as the 'Taj Mahal of North Kensington'. When the area went into decline in the 1900's it ws the centre of many slums in the area and race riots. In 1975 it closed down as a church and taken over by the local council. Demolishion plans were twarted and it was converted into the multi use community building that it is today. Joe Strummer of the Clash appeared here in the 70's and it also hosted gigs by Misty in Roots and George Melly. In 1995 it closed to be upgraded, to reopen in 1998. It is still going strong as a multi-use venue. They hold art exhibitions, concerts, dance lessons, fitness and sport activities as well as concerts. It's a great place to go for a drink or snack, and is very reasonable. It also has a full bar. I like sitting outside when the weather is nice in the large courtyard in frotn of the building. I highly recommend you visit this place, should you be in the Portabello Market area.
