This review is for the gym. Pretty decent gym and fair prices and usually not too crowded. Plus, everyone who works there was nice.

The tour gave us pretty much all access to areas that on a normal day a fan would not be able to see! It takes you on an audio guided tour through the entire stadium pointing out facts about the stadium and history of the team. It was nice to walk around at your own pace and not feel pressured to keep moving. It was even nicer to be able to see the suites, player's locker room, and most of all be down by the pitch and sit in one of the players seats, but almost more important all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. At the end of the tour it puts you in the Arsenal team store which was very big and had almost any Arsenal item that you may want. So, if you are a Gunners fan and want to have a cool experience to get closer to your team go on the Arsenal Stadium tour.

I loved watching Palace play in their questionable clashing colours. Because of their amazing fans (especially the singing section) and of course the eagle and cheerleaders, I always love coming to Selhurst Park. One of my fave London teams for sure. Palace are a London team, which means I should hate them, and yet I don't. I just can't hate a team that have cheerleaders... I mean this is so un-English and so sexist, and yet, well, it's so original that I like it. Here's what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6N2vwe9Swk OK, I know it's silly, but it's so un-English. Anyway, Palace have without a doubt some of the best fan support in the English game. They're based in South Norwood, and are known as the Eagles. An Eagle actually flies around before the games. They were founded in 1905 which makes them relatively new. They play in blue and red stripes which looks weird. Like a colour clash. They have had some very famous managers including Venables. They once finished 3rd in the Prem, and once were FA Cup Runners Up (1990) but other than that have never done anything special at all. But this sort of makes them pathetic and sad and makes me feel sorry for them and so I'm giving them 5 stars for being different, innovative, and having perhaps the loudest crowd in football. They also have a women's team, so maybe the whole cheerleaders thing isn't all that sexist.

Bought premium tickets with food and beverage including in the Rose and Ball club. Pregame communication was great. We arrived many hours early as suggested. They had communicated to me about dietary restrictions and indicated they were able to provide gluten free food days prior. The trouble began when we were dropped off. There were no signs to the Rose and Ball club. We asked one guard and were sent to the opposite side of the stadium from the actual location. We asked another employee and were sent to a different club inside the hotel. We continued to ask for staff help and no one knew where the club was. 30 minutes after arrival or longer we asked the 7th person who was actually an employee of the visiting club who was clearing an area for the visiting club to arrive..he initially said he didn't know then a few minutes later chased us down and said he heard found out for us and pointed us in the right direction. Well, at least the visiting team staff was helpful. Well went to the club for the "premium" experience and it was awful. By this time (about 2 hours before the match) there was no place to sit. It was Very Overcrowded, uncomfortably so!!! We tried numerous times to get help finding or obtaining gluten free food. Each time, our initial interaction with staff was friendly and they wanted to help but of the 5 staff members we asked for help, only the last one returned. All others went to talk to a manager and never returned. The people working the food stations were clearly scrambling and very apologetic that they couldn't help. They said there was a QR code that could be scanned for ingredients for each dish but that often didn't work as most people can't get a good cell signal in the overcrowded area. We could not get a good signal. The workers said they used to have paper labels but stopped doing that and guests now struggle and they need to go back to the old system. The staff and the guests we're visibly uncomfortable standing shoulder to shoulder in a room where you could barely move your arms to try to eat and drink while you stood there feeling like a sardine smashed in a can. One staff member complained that this was ridiculous. He said they do this every match. They grossly oversell access to the club b to maximize revenue and the majority of the guests stand around uncomfortably and the staff is put in a position where they can't possibly provide good service nor help people. Well, I happened to agree. It was an awful match day experience. So very disappointing. I would never buy a Rose and Ball premium experience again.

First-Hand Experience: Well I've seen QPR play live, in person, 3 times total. Once against Oxford United, once against Liverpool, and once in a pre-season game. They're a proud club with more money than they should have. I respect them and appreciate them but they're not my fave, and don't play amazing football either. It's a rich little club in West London that is a rival of Chelsea and Fulham, and just got a lot richer with the new owners. However despite their wealth and a litany of excellent well known overpaid players, they keep getting relegated, and will probably be again this season. Formed in 1882, they play in blue and white hoops, and my brother once played for them in his imagination. His fave player was Les Ferdinand. They were runners up in the Prem back in 1976, and FA Cup runners up in 1982, but the only thing they've ever won is the League Cup in 1967, as well as runners up in 86 (go Oxford!). I have no affinity with this team whatsoever although their stadium does create an excellent atmosphere.

First-Hand Experience: As part of a little London stadium tour that I did with David T (not on Yelp), we checked out this place up in Essex. It's a decent little tiny stadium, and I have to give it a 3. We didn't get to see a game here but I'll return for a game one day, I am sure. I have pix of the stadium somewhere to scan and upload. The team is one which the area should be proud of, and honestly I like them more than the big boys - D & R. This is a lovely little stadium that you can see from the train, although it's more of a field with a park than a train. This team is basically replacing the legendary Redbridge Forest which merged with Dagenham and was swallowed up. Speaking of swallowed. You can't get much lower-tier and cost-effective for watching sport than this place. Give it a try if you want to see lower league authenticity on the crappiest pitch in London.

First let me say that the pitch is not something us locals are proud of. And us locals know all about it because every time we jump on the Central Line to get uptown we see it when we cross the little bridge to get to the platform at Barkingside Station. Apparently Tottenham's Stadium is made from 90% sand. Well, the difference at Barkingside is I'd say it looks like 90% sand. Usually you'll see a few strands of grass near the corner-flags but the rest of it is a murky puddle of sand and mud and stud marks. This definitely accounts for some of the terrible football you're likely to see down at the Oakside Stadium. Having said that, I enjoy watching football here. Sure, the talent and skill isn't really anywhere to be seen at this level; but the hard work and passion are plain to see, as are the atrocious tackles, matched only by the consistently atrocious refereeing. I think what is so magic about watching football at this level is that you really get to be a part of it. You hear what the players are calling the referee; and you can actually let the linesman know exactly how you feel, man to man. Can't beat a luxury like that!.

All the other teams have separate listings so Fulham deserves that too. First-Hand Experience: I've seen Fulham play at Liverpool, and a few times at Craven Cottage. The last time I saw them play in person was 2011 when Al Fayed was still the owner, and I loved them. They'd have got a 4 stars back then. Since then they sold to the Jacksonville Jaguars owner, they went down, they got rid of the MJ statue. But I still have a little soft spot in my heart for them and I'm glad I've seen them play at the wonderful little Craven Cottage, one of the best tiny stadiums around. I liked this team quite a lot under Al Fayed and they would have scored 4 or 5 despite never winning a major honour. Largely because they were cute and adorable and hate Chelsea, and they were full of Americans and were punching above their weight, but most of all because they had a Michael Jackson statue at the stadium which was one of the highlights of the ground. But everything changed when the new owner bought them. He's done a lot of good things for the Jags apparently (although I don't see sold out stadiums at All-Tel and I don't see the Jaguars ever in the play offs, ever, ever, so idk), but for Fulham, all he's done is hire one bad manager after another, and tear down the Michael Jackson statue which was part of the reason I loved this team. So really, he's taken them from one of my fave teams to being one of my least fave. Then we have to look at the fact that they're a rich team from West London, and have never won a single thing ever, and the picture is less rosy. They play in boring black and white, too. Formed in 1879, playing in front of 25k, and they spent 13 years in the Prem which was great. But they're not there anymore.

First-Hand Experience: Have seen them play only once at home, when I was younger, though I've been to the stadium very recently (in 2011), and I've seen them play live away from home on numerous occasions, including in my hometown of Oxford when I was a wee lad. I think that watching them live in person gives me first hand experience to write a review of them. Anyway, the Tractor Boys (great name) were formed in 1878 and play in boring blue, and I think their tractors are sexy. They play way out East of England in a town where I had a bad concert and not much is going on here. They have a delightful manager named Mick McCarthy although Bobby Robson is the most famous manager they ever had. And John Wark perhaps their most famous player. They once played AC Milan in the European Cup. Wow. Alf Ramsey was a big deal here too. They won the league under Ramsay in 1962, and they won the FA Cup with Robson in 1978, which is a lot of success and fairly recent, for such a provincial team. They also amazingly won the UEFA Cup with Bobby Robson in 1981. Amazing. A lot of Ipswich players appeared in the awesome 1981 movie Escape To Victory (Victory in USA). All in all this team deserves a 4 for its great history even though it's not my fave team.
