Please believe the negative reviews! Its a shame that AHS forces us to use this scamming sham of a company. I submitted an electrical ticket because the fuse kept blowing in my kitchen on the side where my stove and microwave are. A young man came out to access, and was very kind and thorough in his quick assessment that the issue is the microwave itself. He simply unplugged it and plugged my vacuum into the outlet to test that it wouldnt cut off. He took his time writing the notes and informed me that the ticket would be transferred to appliances so that i wouldnt have to pay a second fee for him just basically unplugging my microwave. I called AHS this morning to confirm the transfer appt. They also read the notes that stated transfer, but when they reached out to Queen Electric to confirm, a scammer named Tony advised that they closed the ticket and id need a new work order. Completely going against what the employee advised and what AHS had documented. Luckily since AHS did see that it clearly said transfer, they submitted a refund so that I could use it toward the appliance ticket since Queen Electric closed it out. This company clearly has good workers, but the admin side is TRASH. And whoever Tony is, is a piece of garbage too. read more

I am a first-time home buyer and I needed a reliable electrician. Queen Electric was recommended to me to help me with all the electrical issues I needed to address in my old home. I shared my inspection report with the team and they made sure everything was up to code. The team was professional, reliable and honest. They also installed TV outlets, outdoor lighting, replaced the old electrical outlets and installed a ceiling fan. I was pretty demanding with all the requests I needed to be done to my home, the team was patient, responsive and gave me great recommendations. I highly recommend Queen Electric. read more

Never in my 13 yrs of using AHS have I ever had a company BOLDLY LIE about doing work when there was nothing done. Then refuse to respond to calls from AHS regarding falsifying of service. As you saw fit to produce fraudulent claims, one thing for certain is that this business will never be successful!! Electrician worked on our breaker box - lied about the work he did and incorrectly put a breaker in which started to burn later that day. Could have burnt our house down and made the problem worse than it originally was. Customer service was rude and degrading. read more

The electricians assigned to me were efficient and very patient with me as they explained what caused my outage and what was needed to solve it. A bit of troubleshooting was involved but they were able to find the source of the problem, offered options to remedy the issue and now my power is completely restored. I was connected with Queen Electric via my home warranty. After dealing with a botched service appointment with another vendor, I requested that a different company be assigned my ticket. Within 1 hour of placing the service call Queen Electric had a representative call me within the hour. I explained the issue and they immediately stated that they were going to send their Master Electrician....JR. They gave me a window and arrived as agreed the next day. JR arrived at on time, was professional, and immediately resolved ALL three of my separate electrical issues within the hour. JR even made sure everything was working before he left discussing in detail the issues he found. JR repaired a recessed light (not addressed by previous vendor), resolved what I thought (as well as the home inspector) was a bad outlet, issue I thought was associated with wired smoke detectors, and what to do to address issue with outdoor lantern. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMED Queen Electric On September 10, 2023, I lost electricity on a portion of my home. AHS was immediately contacted; the contract was assigned to Queen Electric. They arrived at my home on September 12, 2023. However, I was informed by the electrician that the problem is behind the walls, and approval would be needed to move forward. I was informed by AHS that the contractor needed access behind the wall which is not covered. I explained to AHS I have a contractor to access the wall, however, I was not told which wall needed access. I was told to contact Queen Electric, I left several voice messages, and a text message. As of September 27th, 2023, I have not received a return phone call, voice message, emails or text messages from Queen Electric They have also been non-responsive to company that hired them "AHS" as well. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I had to hire a contractor myself, whereas AHS will only pay up to a certain amount. The new contractor that I hired came out resolved/fixed the issue on September 26th, 2023. (16 DAYS LATER). read more

The lights in our basement suddenly stopped working, and a burning smell came out of nowhere. The contractor we had been working with came to diagnose the problem and said that we would need to tear down the drywall to find the problem. The estimate was thousands of dollars. I asked my neighbors if they knew of a quality electrician, and they recommended Queen Electric. Communication was easy, and the appointment for an estimate was set up for the next day I was available. The electrician came out and was able to diagnose the problem within 30 minutes. After an hour, the lights in the basement were on again, and no drywall had to be taken down. The cost was a fraction of what we were quoted by our original contractor. Ease of communication, knowledge, and fair pricing are what I experienced when working with Queen Electric. read more

STAY AWAY AHS has sent Queen Electric to my properties on at least 4 occasions. They have never actually fixed anthing. They consistently identify a major problem with the existing wiring not covered by AHS and state the requested repair cannot be ade until the upgrade is completed. In one case they claimed the house need a heavy up ($6,000) when the second electrician identified a bad breaker. In another they said outlets in another room were not properly grounded when we asked them to look at a furnace. I suspect the are using AHS to farm higher paying work read more

Assigned though AHS. Technician came out for flickering lights. Tech said that couldn't do anything sense the lights weren't currently flickering. Called them back for three days and couldn't get an answer. When I finally got an answer they scheduled an appointment and then no showed. I called them again they said that they didn't have any appointment for me on the books. I then called AHS to assign my issue to another company. read more

Highly recommended Queen Electric. I requested an electrical inspection and repairs for my daughter new (Old) home. I received calls from the front office letting us know who and exactly when our service tech would be showing up. The tech was on time and presented very professional. Once on site, he performed a thorough inspection, communicate the items that needed repairs in a way that I understood. We agree on the work to be done, he completed the repairs quickly and professionally. A few glitches were encountered as expected of an older house and based on the shape of the fixture positioning, but the tech had the correct tool and equipment in the truck to complete the job. I paid less than was quoted by the other more expensive contractors, I appreciate the punctuality, capability and professionalism of this company. read more

It seems I'm not the only who they have tried to turn a simple light switch rewiring job into a major home repair that my home warranty company would not cover. This was a simple light switch repair job for a rental property that I needed fixed ASAP. Turned out to be a MAJOR HEADACHE!!! I finally got my deductible refunded and hired my own electrician who fixed the problem right away. The job was so simple he charged me less than my home warranty deductible. Hi I can't recommend this company. They were sent by American Home Shield, my home warranty company, to work on some (2) very basic ceiling fan issues. I've gone back and forth with them, requiring a lot of my time and attention. Long story short, they are the type of company that does not respect the fact that paying customers should always be treated with respect and deference. The dispatcher sets the tone and he, Joe, has no customer service acumen and his communication skills are seriously lacking, he is way too defensive and not helpful. It was stressful everytime I called to get clarification. Save yourself a headache and find a more professional customer service oriented company to give your business to. read more

The first tech who did my initial assessment was professional but every encounter after that was absolutely terrible. When they came to do my doorbell install the tech called me out to show me how to use it. Apparently, it won't work unless you hold it down for SEVERAL seconds (really??) Call me unreasonable but I want a doorbell that rings when you press it. I had them uninstall it and requested a working doorbell. I called the front office and got the nastiest customer service rep I've ever experienced. After giving me a tutorial on how to use a doorbell (my blood still boils at that one) he essentially called me a liar and said that it worked fine and he found it acceptable and would call AHS to tell "his side." A. Are we in 8th grade? B. Why are we going through this over a doorbell? The nastiness and pettiness really isn't worth it. Save your time and your blood pressure and go somewhere else. read more

I'm experiencing many if not ALL of the same complaints in these reviews. It seems of the 6 reviews now 7, 5 out of 7 agree that this IS NOT a company that provides good services. I also received their contact information from American Home Shield (AHS). The technician came out nearly a week ago. I call Queen Electric and asked for an update. I was told they were waiting for a response from AHS, however they had resubmitted the request 4 days after the visit. I called AHS and they had not received any information from Queen Electric. This seems to me to be an unacceptable amount of time to have a response and by the way as mentioned in the other reviews the individual answering the phones truly needs customer relations training sessions. I just read the other review from 2013, and I can tell you that they have NOT CHANGED. Just spoke with the owner/manager. He is absolutely inconsiderate and rude still. Part of my problem is working with a home warranty company (don't recommend that). Any way, they came out to replace a bad dimmer switch. Didn't have one on them. Came back and when the technician was done I looked at it and it wasn't the same type of switch I had. (And it was obviously cheap.) I asked him why he put that in, that wasn't what was there before. He said that was the one the home warranty company approved. So I call the home warranty company, they don't know anything about it. They called Queen Electric. He tells them a regular switch had to be put in because I had a fan. Well, I don't have a fan. So I was told to call him back. I speak with the owner/manager, thinking this will be any easy fix/replacement of proper parts. OH NO. He tells me that is all he has to put in, these are the only ones he carries on his truck, no one ever complains about it. I said 'well I'm complaining now." I just want the proper dimmer switch in, the one that matches the one beside it and ever other one in my house. He was a total jerk about it. Said he'll put the right one in if I pay him again. The sad part was, because the technicians were very nice, I planned to use this company for all my other non-warranty needs: installing lights, ceiling fans, etc. Unfortunately, their boss obviously does not care about customer satisfaction and appears to do the least amount of work/cost to himself for a job. I used them last week Nov 22, 2014 for a light that weight almost 100 lbs, they can in with their crew, they were on time, did a great job and really worked hard. Don't ever use this company! They came from American Home Shield and mis-diagnosed the problem. Queen Electric claimed water damage. I had to have another electrical company come in and correctly diagnose the problem. Of course, there was absolutely no water damage. The electrician that came from the 2nd company showed me a dry area, where nothing had rust and/or water. Because Queen Electric did not diagnose the problem correctly it delayed me getting the problem fixed. I would NEVER allow Queen Electric to do the work, considering they clearly didn't know what the problem was. I am all for supporting local companies, but Queen Electric has a responsibility to hire qualified electricians with some basic level of knowledge and experience. As homeowners we rely on their expertise and my experience with Queen Electric will deter me from ever using them in the future. My advise to Queen Electric is to focus on improving their sub-par quality of work, spend the money to hire qualified personnel and take bad reviews seriously. Queen Electric needs to work hard to mitigate these types of problems that add to their already consistent terrible reputation. If I could have given no stars I would have.
