Hookah is one of the best I've had. Good quality hookah flavors and it last for a long time. Service is not bad either.

They are a mellow hole in the wall type of spot. On most days, you can sneak in and be only one group of two or three others. They have no food options, but they are low cost. Once on a Friday night they started charging the people who came in after 10pm an entry fee. It had suddenly become a night club. The music got a little louder and people started twerking. Great music. Atmosphere is great. Only thing, I feel is a bit over priced. $24.00 for a single person, on top of that you can only choose one flavor to smoke. I've been to many hookah bars and I was at least able to smoke two flavor without being charge an extra $24.00. Just saying. I know this is D.C. But at least accommodate to the guest needs. Prices definitely went up since the last time I've been here. If you are looking for a place to chill after an open bar at Adams this is a great place. But expect it to be pricey. There is a cover charge. I believe if you get here around 9 or so you don't have to pay a cover charge. After that, it's $5.00. Not to bad. First time trying hookah. And we went to this place off of a recommendation from a family member. I had a good experience overall. We got there around 10 or 11. And they weren't filled up yet, so we didn't get turned away like I seen them doing so many other groups. So, yeah, early arrival suggested. I'm not sure of the terminology, but we had the grape and peach flavors. And the Egyptian tea. Everything was pretty good, but the peach was much stronger. It was very relaxing, once I got into it, even with the loud music. I can't speak to the decor, since it was pretty dark and really wasn't paying attention anyway. The prices weren't bad. The three of us ended up paying 38 dollars for two pipes and the tea, and that included the five dollar minimum for each person. But that doesn't include the 2 dollar cover charge for each person. Only thing though is that it started giving me a headache after a while. And I needed change once we went to pay, and we asked the guy who took our money at the door. But he wouldn't give us any even though he had a big wad of money in his hand. But our waitress went to ask him and he gave it to her. I didn't like that. I don't know what the issue was, he could've just gave us the money. But now I know to bring change next time. But yeah, I would come back. This is my favorite houkah bar in DC, I've never found one better. I've been going for over 6 years now! I love the atmosphere and they have great houkahs with many flavors and combinations to choose from . The staff are very friendly, they charge fair prices, and there is only a cover on the weekends (to prevent people from walking out without paying). Houkah bars aren't about food and alcohol, it's about the atmosphere and people. If you are going to go to a houkah bar in Adams Morgan, Queens Cafe is the way to go. read more

love this quiant hookah spot. This place is so laid back, perfect for an end of the night spot or if you just want to chill with friends or your boo. I've never been during the day but I hear it's nice as well, I'll have to check it out. The music selection goes along with the ambience. My friends and I are regulars at other lounges, but we decided to step outside our comfort zone. At first it seemed okay- the bouncer was friendly, seating is open and comfortable, and the servers were polite when they took our order. However, we'd specifically asked for a double hose hookah, and were given a single. When we asked WHY, the manager (who had also taken our order) said they didn't have doubles. Same thing when we asked for our food "We don't have any."So they took an order for something they didn't have. Twice. Also, it took over an hour to get a coal changed. I have NEVER been to a lounge where I've needed to chase after servers in order to get a new coal, and it took half an hour to get ahold of these guys. And then it took them ANOTHER 30 minutes to change it, so we didn't have hookah for about an hour. There was also a $3 service fee. I don't mind paying- I get that everyone needs their tips. However, there was no note on the menu mentioning the fee. All in all? Piece of crap. Only go here if you want to be ignored. Also, the hookah the guy said was the best was ashy and nasty. read more

Omg just left this place, their hookah is the WORST! Trust me, I know my hookah been doing it for over 10 years, went here to link up with some friends, but never again. Service is ok, nice people and the music is on point, but what I was smoking was gross. I always order mint, no fruity stuff, and it tasted like dead peaches, the lowest grade tobacco! Not al-fakir or starbuzz, some wack shit. I'm sticking with VA, anywhere in VA like Dewan, Ishtar, Zaaki. Also it's cash only $21, over priced, they have a ATM in the hookah bar too. read more

So I am posting this review after having been here twice (Two nights in a row). The first thing you should all probably know is that this place is uber cheap. They charge you a $2 cover charge when you enter, but that's really nothing considering how cheap the hookah and hookah refills are. You have to spend $5 a person, but that's easy. Buy a $2 water bottle, pitch in for hookah, and then don't forget to tip. The whole night, with two hookah heads could cost you 7 bucks. Not bad at all. You can go through as many coals as you want, obviously. Okay, next is something you should look out for: they don't give you tongs with your hookah, so just be sure to ask for a pair when it comes out. The lighting is great, the music and bass is perfectly loud. In fact, its so perfect that it makes you want to get up dance with your friends... too bad that there isn't a dancefloor. :( Oh well. So far, I've tried Mixed Fruit, which was too flowery and not enough fruity. Orange was seriously pretty good, I'd recommend it. Mango was nothing with nothing and more nothing. Next time, I plan to try Peach. Okay, there are two sorta shady looking men who sit by the door and smoke cigarettes or 'something' all night and deal with any costumer outbursts, so don't worry about douchebag intrusions. Although, be warned that they don't seem to like black people, but I still wouldn't let it deter you. Speaking of seating, the couches are so comfortable with tons of throw pillows. So far, both times I was seated at the table directly to the right of the door when you enter. The music is the best there, but when the door gets opened, its cold for a moment. Its a toss-up. We did an early celebration of my friend's bday the first night and told this nice man named Maurice? who seems to be one of the head employees. He left the building and came back to bring my friend a free blueberry muffin with two candles in it and took a picture of all of us. hahaha Also, the waitress named Rachel (pronounced with phlem) is extremely nice and social and is willing to blow out the hookah head when it gets harsh. The other waitresses don't seem in the mood to talk and make a terrible effort trying to check on you. We had to flag them down constantly. But at the same time, it is hookah, so you shouldn't be in much of a hurry. Just get up and find them if its that important, I guess. We don't leave too big of a tip, because of it. Lastly, you can order food there. The items you'd more than likely buy cost around 6-8 bucks. My friend got the buffalo wings and devoured the crap out of those. haha ! These foods seem to come from a local place, rather than from a lounge. But that's alright. They allow outside food to be brought in, as long as you take the mess with you when you leave. Speaking of outside food, here is the cherry on the top. Jumbo slice is directly to the left of the lounge when you walk outside of it and face the street. Don't go there. Instead, take a brief walk to the right and find the first pizza place there. They give you fucking humongous slices for 4-6 bucks. Its bigger than a 12'' pizza. Awesome. The only reason this place gets a 4/5 is the mediocre service and alright flavors, as well as the lack of variety in them. I still highly recommend it! :) read more

The owner Nadi is amazing and the staff here is really helpful! The prices are the best in the area and the smoke and flavor can't be matched! Been going here for years and can't complain. Been to all the other hookah bars in the area and I keep on coming back here. Definitely a must go! Just be prepared for a wait on the weekends because it is so busy. Also a live Dj on the weekends! One of the worst experiences at a hookah place and I go to hookah places often. The bathrooms are filthy with leaks, pungent odors, and a lack of sanitation. They charge for service (even though it's terrible) automatically and only take cash (a way to evade taxes I'm sure) and the place is very dirty. Nice people, but never going back again. read more

Now that the place next door is closed this is the new spot to chill at. Most of the staff is friendly. Service is a little slow and rushed on Fridays and Saturdays. Meaning the girls take a long time to get to you and they rush you to get out. Not ok... And you have to share a table with a group of people that you may not know... they will be sitting right across from you in your face! I also didnt like that. I like to feel comfortable in that type of environment. They're also a little pricey. It cost $10 to get in on the weekends and then $21 for the hookah... If you include parking... you're spending almost $60. However, the DJ is amazing! If it didnt cost so much to get in and to smoke i would give this place 5 stars... With what you're paying you might as well go to a club/lounge or go out to eat. read more

Absolutely fantastic! The workers are friendly and the hookah is good. Gets very loud on the weekends and is always very fun.
