The bathrooms are pretty cold but there is a heater that you can turn on. I imagine if she sat there for 10 minutes it might warm up slightly for you to take a shower if you were there later in the season. The bathroom was kind of odd with plywood hung up covering some toilet stalls. I opted not to shower here.

The pool was closed and for the inconvenience, they gave out free ice and wood. No strict rules or micro management. Speed limit is 10mph. Free showers. Clean bathrooms. Trash and rycleable bins near each section. Big downside was the infestation of bees/yellowjackets. They were everywhere it was awful. I felt we should of been notified on check in. Luckily, I do not have an allergy to them but if I did, I would of left because they were that bad. They have 2 beach areas, children's play set, tennis courts, disc golf. Overall, very relaxing.

This is a no frills campground, but I have to honestly say that we had a great stay this past…read moreweekend. Pros 1. The campground is very inexpensive, $35 a night with water and electric. 2. Beautiful sites available right on the water. Other site away from the water area available too. 3. SUPER easy check-in. 4. Not a ton of rules/regulations like most campgrounds and there didn't need to be as everyone is very respectful there, like it should be! 5. Dogs allowed as long as they are on a leash at all times. Again, not a lot of red tape, paperwork and rules to bring your dog camping which is so nice! 6. Campground and facilities are well maintained and clean. 7. Great location with lots to do nearby. 8. Wood for campfires available for $4 a bundle. Cons 1. We picked a site #56 because it was on the water and close to one of the bathroom locations listed on their map. While they were certainly close, they were actually porta pottys, not actual bathrooms with running water. Not a huge deal ,but had we know this, we probably would've picked a site closer to one of the real bathrooms with running water. 2. No central location to wash dishes other than your campsite. 3. Some of the sites along the water are very narrow and close together. We could actually hear the couple in the site next to us talking every morning when they woke up and it was not because they were loud. 4. No campground store so if you forgot something, you're going to have to venture out in the surrounding area to find what you need. There is plenty nearby, but it's always nice if you can just get it from the campground store. Your best options are site 61 if you want a nice, large site on the water (not a lot of privacy) or site 65 for a nice, large site, but very private with only one site next to you and the other side is trees. If you like camping in an open field with other campers and don't mind the lack of privacy, they have that option too. Really something for everyone. One last note, showers are 50 cents for 6 minutes. Not a pro or con in my opinion, but certainly worth mentioning so you are prepared when you get there!

When we go camping, we like to escape from everything. We have been to a lot of campgrounds where…read morethe campsites are packed in and the park is crowded. Coolidge is nice and quiet, and if you reserve a prime leanto, you'll be rewarded with gorgeous views out over the mountain too. This park is located near Ludlow, VT - we always stop at Tacos Tacos and also the Green Mountain Sugar House (for maple creemees). The park is located up a steep road, and you check in at the ranger station. We usually rent a prime leanto (plan on booking far ahead of time), but we have also stayed at a regular campsite too. The prime leantos are nice, because they have nice privacy and a gorgeous view. The leantos are great in case of inclement weather. Bathrooms are about typical for a VT state park. The usual bathrooms, sinks, and showers. Sometimes these are a walk from the campsite, so plan accordingly if you have kids. There isn't a whole lot to do within the park, other than hiking (which is nice). There is a small playground and nature center on site. If you want to go to a beach, you can use Camp Plymouth State Park free with your car hang tag from Coolidge. I believe it takes just over 10 minutes to get to Camp Plymouth, so it isn't far. We love how nice this park is and how quiet it is, plus it is beautiful and you can enjoy nice hiking trails.

Ridiculously steep entrance and a very tight exit dirt road. the sewage pipe was not usable without a special attachment. The WiFi barely connected. Even the SSID was sparse. the beach? not much of a beach - a tiny somewhat sandy area that we chose not to visit as it wasn't appealing. sites were cramped.the rec hall had a huge sign to keep doors closed and it was so hot inside we couldn't use the facilities. no AC.

Owners are rude..I recommended them to my daughter when she was coming up from Massachusetts a…read morecouple of years ago...she came up with her fiancé a couple of friends...the friends arrived late one of them was being rowdy so he left of his own volition...the owners went to my daughter's cabin and told her fiancé and his brother "if we catch you doing drugs we are calling the police" My daughter's fiancé is Asian so is his brother and his then girlfriend and the other 2 friends...they were offended so they checked out the following morning a day early...when they went to the office to check out and asked to be refunded the second night they refused citing a two week cancelation policy... I am sorry but they were planning to stay both nights but they were not planning on being insulted....they were not going to stay somewhere they were not comfortable...how are you going to refuse a refund citing a 2 week cancelation policy when the reason that they checked out early is because they were threatened with possible arrest when in fact NONE of them do drugs...I live in town but was not informed of the details of the situation until this past summer when I asked my daughter if she wanted to go back to the campground because she knew how I would react...I have lived in Lebanon for 3 years and with the exception of a few fools everyone we have met has been very welcoming...except the owners

Sept 3-5. This campground is amazing! Wish we were here longer. Huge campsite in a Forrest type…read moresetting. Very quiet setting. Definitely going on my "come back to" list. The lake would have been awesome for using our kayaks. By the way they rent kayaks here $12 per hour (double kayaks). Lots of places to go hiking. The staff is awesome! When we arrived we were escorted to our site and showed all the hook ups. Looks like they have lots of events. None in the dates we were here (middle of the week). I will definitely stay here again in the future. Would be great for families and groups.

My nephews (8 & 10) & I signed up for the tubing trip this morning. When they dropped us off, we…read morewere told that it would be best if we walked out a ways to the second cove in order to get the best current out into the water. We did that, with our cooler raft in tow. However, i ended up pushing my nephews in their tubes for about a half mile (past the second cove) before we were able to get going. This took about an hour and a half. About 3/4 the way through our time on the water, we heard thunder. I realized they hadn't covered what to do in the case of bad weather in the briefing. So thankfully I was able to call the company from my tube & they advised us to get out of the water if we heard thunder & wait 15 min before getting back in. We heard thunder in and off for about 45 min so stayed out of the water on some rocks while we waited. I felt like we were bothering the company when they called & they didn't seem at all concerned, telling me it was a passing shower. After we returned to the water, we saw some lightening so I tried getting us over to shore. The water was getting choppy & we weren't going anywhere so I got out of my tube & pulled all of us to shore. We built a small shelter using our tubes & tried to stay dry but at this point, it was pouring. I called the company again & they said there was nothing they could do & couldn't come pick us up based on our location. I checked my GPS & we were .6 miles away from our stopping location. The company told us to start walking back along the shore. We did that and along the way my nephew slipped on the rocks because it was still pouring. Finally, when we made it back, we had to drag all the gear up the hill (which was mentioned during the briefing but we weren't expecting to do this in the pouring rain. When we got back, I expressed my disappointment that they'd send anyone out with conditions like that expected as I truly felt our lives were in danger. The woman said no one was blaming anyone and I corrected her. Yes, I blame the company for putting our lives in danger. She explained that they had no idea about the weather conditions and that this system just popped up out of nowhere. I can understand that but at no point did anyone offer to come & help us. They could have easily walked from where they were & helped us walk back. I would not recommend this company due to the lack of safety measures & how isolated we felt when conditions got bad.
