Mi Tierra 2 offers a nice, casual spot for Colombian food in Charlotte. I tried the desayuno mi…read moreTierra which comes with arepa con queso, calentado, Colombian sausage, and pork rinds. The pork rinds were good, and the plantains were sweet, but the sausage lacked the typical chorizo flavor I was expecting. The breakfast was decent, though nothing particularly standout. It was a good experience overall, but I'd be curious to try the lunch or dinner menu next time.

I orderd the Filete de Pollo a la Parrilla and chicharron. The grilled chicken was hammered so it was a thin but large piece. It had a pinkish tent due to the yummy seasoning. The chicken was juicy and bursting with flavor. Delish! I enjoyed the salad which included a light creamy dressing. The plantains were sweet and cooked perfectly! It was my first time trying chicharron and I am now a fan. I rarely eat pork. But this was fried delicately so the outside had a nice crispy crunch but the inside was tender and juicy. If you're looking to switch up your dinner routine, I highly recommend trying Cali Colombian Restaurant!

Let's just say they did an amazing job at cooking the arepas, the chicken was filled with flavor, the steak was perfect and juicy while still being well-done to my wife's preference. Trying to explain that to people from the US is hard but it just took one trip to South America to realize what they were talking about. If you are prepping your meats properly you can achieve that well done juicy combo. These guys nailed it. The place looks relatively new, the staff are eager to serve, and I am recommending it to my Colombian friend who just moved to Charlotte as we speak. But for all folks looking for a good experience or a place for a work lunch it checks all the boxes. Order: Chicken arepas Entrana Reminds of "Tips" on the east coast but bigger.
