Best place in The Q to get beer, wine and liquor. It's always my go to! The hours and location are central and convenient

Had my wives favorite cider and Lone star for me in a foreign town. A++ in my book. If you are in Albuquerque then give this place a go, I would venture to say they will have whatever your craving. read more

Awesome Customer Service and very friendly staff. Great selection of Spirits! Thank you

I just like how nice they are and product availability. They remember me for some reason. Just nice. As a a former corporate flight attendant I digest read more

A surprisingly robust beer selection, especially for New Mexico. Their liquor selection was also good and included some pretty decent rums. Their liquor selection staff was helpful as well. Bonus for being close to the airport hotels! read more

I live near and absolutely love this place and the employees. I make tinctures and full extract herbs and they have the alcohol I need at an affordable price. I high recommend supporting local business and this spot for your liquor or beer needs. All local breweries are featured as well as some others. It's spacious and I can take my dog inside and they give him a milk bone. Just use this business when you can. It's the best in a ton of different ways than any of the others. Friendly, good priced stock, and a great wine selection as well. I finally bought wine when I had my aunt coming and I was very happy with all that was available. read more

I bought a pint of vodka at 11 am.. came back after 5pm to get another pint, but after I waited on line at the cashier, the manager came over to deny service, just because I'd been there earlier that day. Claimed I was 'stuttering' but hadn't spoke to me at all. read more

I was surprised to Weller on the shelf. Right beside an Elijah Craig Barrel Proof and a 1792 Single Barrel . The prices were lower than what I expected so I ended up with 7 bottles of bourbon . Service was great . Thanks again for making my vacation in Albuquerque complete. read more

Quarters has been my neighborhood liquor store for a while now, and rarely have I been disappointed. You run a risk when purchasing, say, distressed products, those which are damaged, expired, or otherwise not able to sell at market price. That said, ten bucks can often net you a case of 12 to 16 such beverages; look for these offerings on the left as you enter. For those not necessarily on dire budgets, the craft beer selection is remarkable. Lots of choices, running the range of local, domestic, imported, etc. They carry awesome stuff: I'm partial to Wittekerke's Berlinerweisse, Prairie Artisan Ales, Brewery Verhaeghe (love me some Duchesse de Bourgogne), all that good stuff. Definitely worth exploring new beers here. They've also got a competent selection of wines and spirits. Recently, I've been trying some of their Japanese single malt whiskeys. While I'd love to see even more of these, I'm grateful for the options already offered. Got some time to spare? Check out the whole Quarters neighborhood of businesses! There's the restaurant next door, and also Differential Brewing across the street. Local, community, honesty. Quarters does it right. read more

Large beer and liquor selection! Clean and neat. Big spot with lots of parking. Will frequent this joint

Great selection! Stopped in on a whim while staying in Albuquerque for the night. They had all I was looking for and more!

I've read a few reviews of this place that mention the unsavory characters in the parking lot and they sure weren't lying. I see people heading in here that seem like they've been drinking a month straight. I've seen people that I thought were going to ask for change and were smart enough not to bother when they saw my cold, unsympathetic eyes. And I've seen people I thought were going to slug me in the face for looking in their direction. So yeah, not exactly inviting. But hey, there's some real reward after you run the gauntlet, so don't be deterred by any of the nonsense you see outside. Once inside, you'll find a veritable selection of beer, anything from your variations of piss water to craft beer from different corners of the US to some of the common and a few less common European brews. I generally spend about 10 minutes looking over all my option and looking them over again before making a decision. There are some helpful little tags on some of the craft beers that inform you of how Ratebeer.com folks have scored a certain beer, although this would certainly be more helpful if it was on EVERY beer. I definitely drink more beer than liquor, but I have noticed a wide selection of liquors for sale also. It's all enough to keep a man (or a woman) drunk. The prices are reasonable, not necessarily as cheap as I'd like considering that this place fits the description of "hood" and therefore should have prices to match that motif, but they're not exorbitant either. I generally end up buying the more expensive craft beers anyways, so I guess I'm no expert on their prices. At day's end, this place is convenient for me and anyone else in the UNM/CNM vicinity and easily accessible from the airport, making for an easy, much-needed pit stop after a long flight if I arrive early enough. I would say that Jubilation is cleaner and probably has a better and wider selection, but I can't always be driving so far away for a beer, you know? read more

The place looks like a store where bums go to get their drunk on. You have to search in the back to find the best selection of wines in Albuquerque. Some decent cru beaujolais. Very nice selection of burgundies in many price ranges. Good Italian selection along with some decent German and Austrian wines. read more

Quarters has a great variety of beer, wine, and liquor. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. There are two in Albuquerque; one on Yale near the University of New Mexico, and one in the NE Heights. They have a little something for everybody. read more

Quarters Discount Liquors has a fantastic selection of wines. Of course they have everything else there, too, but the wine selection takes up 3/4 of the store. They have the wine separated by region and then by reds, whites, etc. They have a cooler with cold wine so you can be ready to go to a house party or wherever you decide to go. The staff is surprisingly knowledgeable, the store is not as shady as the one down Gibson, they are not as big and overwhelming as Total Wine, and have a much better selection than the base. read more

If you need staples for your party or home bar this is likely one of the best deals in town. It's in the student ghetto (and near the bus depot and a cemetery) so the selection of beer in huge cases is awesome. The hard liquor standards are all there with really good prices to match. The wine selection is decent considering their client base. The staff is rough but at least not as rough as many of the clients. Don't expect much expertise from the employees but treat them with respect and they will certainly acknowledge you as a regular customer and do their best to accommodate your needs which is more then I can say about most businesses in ABQ. read more

A great selection of wines, beers, and liquors (although much of the wine, oddly, is in a back room that doesn't smell quite right). The prices are good and the staff are friendly and usually entertaining for whatever junk they have on the tube. Check the specials when you walk in the door and don't be afraid to ask if you can't find something you want. They're helpful. read more

It's a liquor store and fulfills it's stated purpose. Nice selection of craft brews and reasonably priced mini bottles (if you happen to be heading to the airport as I was). Friendly staff. read more

I pretty much made this my liquor store of choice because of the employees. It doesn't hurt that they currently sell Tito s homemade Texas vodka way cheaper than anywhere else in town. Pretty stellar wine section as well. But again, the employees are the best . read more

Yi hoo uppity Yahoos....The Quarters has two other locations: one just north of Montgomery on Wyoming and one on Ellison westerly from 528/Alameda (check the website). The latter may provide a more elite "ambiance" for those needing it while looking over the best prices (IMHO) in town! e.g. Wolfschmidt Vodka 1.75L regularly $12.99. (The one on Yale is an original from good times past.) [ I certify I do not have a financial interest in The Qs, nor am I related to nor having une affaire du coeur et/ou de corps with the owners or staff.] Salud! 7/2/13 The Wyoming store has changed hands with an increase in prices, so much so I go to Total Wine. The Ellison store has been also bought out to become a brew pub without a liquor store. read more

This place has horrible service, we showed up before closing time and a big hairy man refused to let us in. This is poor service I feel. If your establishment closes 10 min before they say then that should be your actual closing time. read more
