The therapy activity area was open bay and sometimes it felt crowded, but there was still space to get things done. When I left, they had just opened another section with an above-ground swimming pool for water therapy sessions. Overhead TV's, a clean bathroom, ample parking, small waiting area....no complaints; I never waited that long for an appointment. On my last appointment I asked the head doctor for copies of exercises I could do; he said I could look them up on the internet and he'd email me what they had on file but he never did. At that time, a pain specialist determined I suffered from severe sciatica pain and surgery was probably the only solution. My pain started in my lower back and radiated to my glutes, hamstrings and when standing it would shoot sharp pain to my calf. Dr. Elise Mankoska knew exactly how to relieve my pain. She was very knowledgeable about acupuncture, insightful about natural ways to heal my body, and reassuring throughout my whole process. Prior to getting acupuncture, I was basically immobile for a whole month without much movement. The only comfortable position was laying on my stomach. I have no idea what this guy's problem was, but he went from nice, to a super Doc who thinks he is God... "You can't believe everything on an MRI" he told me. WHAT???!!! That was after I told him I had a stress fracture on the navicular, as exhibited on the MRI. The MRI was taken at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO,,,I was asked to have the MRI done at the Steadman Clinic, as they have a very high resolution MRI. So Dr Kravitz pops the MRI into his computer and says, "I don't see it!" (the stress fracture). Since he is God, now, he must know more than the VERY HIGH RESOLUTION machine that took the MRI I thought, Sorry, dude, maybe you have a crappy computer, but I didn't say that. The Steadman Clinic not only treats people like Lindsey Vonn, and elite athletes, but people like me, 70, but wanting to stay active...and they are very nice. Their orthopedics department is internationally known. There were some other problems with my torn ligaments, but he blew those off, too. He was RUDE, DISMISSIVE, and even disrespectful...BIG ego! At the end of the appt, he said all he could do for me was custom orthotics and I could talk to the front desk about prices. I felt like I was about to get my hand slapped for something.
