Pulliam Pools Is As Bad As It Gets…read more Yall, I am not one to leave reviews. However, this whole situation has been APPALLING, and I don't know what else to do. Even moreso, I would hate for someone else to end up where I am now-- so hopefully this post will save you from ever using Pulliam Pools. I pay $220 a month to have Pulliam service my pool. I went to pull back the cover last week as it is time to have our pool back up and running, and I see this. The water level is extremely low, about half way down, exposing the plaster. The water is black-- you can't even see through it. There is algae all along the surface. I was absolutely shocked! I immediately reached out to Pulliam and they put me in touch with the supervisor, Nathan. I asked him what exactly I had been paying for when this is the current condition of my pool. He said they would make it right. 4 days later, I had not heard anything. I reached back out to Nathan who said someone from Pulliam would be contacting me. That evening, I got a text from Skylynn at Pulliam saying they would come service it--drain and clean-- for $1,200. I asked what exactly I had been paying $220 a month for (totaling ~$1,600 since this fall when the cover was put on). They sent me a copy of their terms and conditions saying a large obstruction would hinder their ability to care for the pool. I'm sorry, since when is a pool cover considered a "large obstruction"? A large obstruction would be a non-pool related structure that prevented them from servicing your pool that's not apart of the pool. Like a massive tree that's fallen ontop of the pool that they can't work around. Is a pool company not able to adequately care for a pool when it has the most basic pool accessory... a cover? No where in the terms and conditions does it mention anything about a cover. There has been 0 communication from Pulliam's end stating that they cannot adequately service my pool (put chemicals in etc). This company refuses to make right of what they've done. They have charged full price for a service they did not do-- for months on end. And how, they're trying to make me pay to fix their mistake. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this company‍

I highly recommend this company! Zack is great!…read more I needed my pool pump motor replaced, pool light replaced and a 30 year old heater to be removed. I sent requests for bids to 5 companies on Yelp and 4 of them kind of blew me off... ya know... send us pictures, send us your personal info... blah blah without any commitments to come out and look. Zack was straight forward and said when he could be out to take a look with a free estimate (sat morning). He was running a little late when he came out but was courteous and notified me ahead of time that he'd be a little late... so no big deal. He was very reasonable with his pricing (I had already looked up the pricing for parts before he got there) and was very happy he didn't try to up sell me or pad his labor costs. I said: great, when can you come out? Expecting him to say in a week or two (like the other pool companies usually do). Nope. He said: Monday afternoon. I was thrilled with the quick timeframe. He showed up on Monday and got to work. He got the light replaced first (which was no easy task... the ledge on that side of the pool is raised several feet higher which makes it difficult to access the light without getting in the water). Not only did he replace the bulb but also the housing and cable that ran under the cement to the light switch. Then he took out the 30 year old heater (that sucker weighed over 100lbs easy) and it's 100 degrees out today... also not an easy task. He fixed the pipes and then started working on the motor. He got that installed and the thing is sooo much quieter than the old one. As we were looking at the pump we noticed some water leaking from one of the connections into the pump. So he says that he can fix that (mind you, it almost 6pm... I'm sure he wanted to go home and get out of the heat, but he took the extra step to give exceptional service). He went to his truck found a new seal and fixes the connection. Didn't even charge extra for it. Really, really happy with his performance! World class service! Will definitely use again!

He also fixed several other issues including installing LED lights, replacing the air blower for the hot tub, installing a WiFi control, and upgrading the main pump. We were using a pool maintenance service recommended by the former owner of our house. Halfway through the summer, I got really frustrated because I would have to call them when I saw algae in the pool. Then they would charge extra to eradicate the algae while blaming it on excessive rainfall or something else. I called Larry and asked him if he would charge extra if I told him there is algae in the pool. His answer sold me on the spot, "If I was taking care of your pool, you would never see algae". I immediate fired the other company and hired All Texas to perform weekly maintenance on our pool. After a few weeks, my wife commented how clean the pool looked and the water is so clear all the time. There really is a noticeable difference in the look. I strongly recommend All Texas Pool and Spa for any pool work you need or want. I've built two pools and owned two others over the years so I know a thing or two about pools myself. Larry is extremely knowledgeable and can do anything with pools. He is dependable, affordable, and honest as they come.

They actually did what seems 4.5yrs in a decent job on the pool guniting, plaster, and equipment…read more The excavator however ripped a 5' segment of three 1/2" conductors and 2" conduit out of the ground though I'd advised them of and marked it's location. They said they didn't do it though I found the segment (conduit with conductors) in the pile of excavated soil from digging the pool. The electrician didn't separate that circuit from the pool circuit so now both must be cut off if either one is needed off. The booster pump was glued into the piping so it was impossible to remove for repairs without cutting it out of the piping. The faux infinity edge wall started separating from the pool structure after about a year and has continued to move since then with the most severe segment being about 10' long and creating a separation of about 2". When swimming any wave action in that area drains out of the pool and soaks the soil at the interface of the pool gunite wall and the stone mortar wall. They have responded that they didn't construct the faux edge supporting wall to resist soil movement, so the repair is on us to remedy.
