Not all laundromats are the same, and this is better than most in the area…read more It's not a big place, but there are plenty of machines so there's seldom a wait. The machines are newer and more reliable than at a lot of other places. The tables for folding are huge. The newest washing machines take a little longer, but they extract so much water from the clothes than drying time is reduced by about 25 cents a load. The result is less time overall doing laundry and less money spent. The staff and friendly, and the clientele are very diverse. My only complaint? Laundromat doors should open both ways. Generally your hands are full both entering and exiting, so having to use the handle to open the door isn't easy.

When I arrived, I explained I needed my suit and shirts cleaned, as well as my wife's new coat. The employee (dind't catch her name) was able to explain the differences in material, what needed to be dry cleaned, as well as offer advice on how to treat my clothing. She also asked when I needed the clothing by and I explained I needed the suit and shirts by tomorrow morning for an interview. She immediately knew this would be an issue but contacted another worker and asked them to stop the laundry that was currently being cleaned so my shirts could be added. She explained to me the cut off time for same day service was 8:30 AM and I was there around 10:00. However, because she was able to think on her feet and meet my needs, my suit and shirts will be ready for tomorrow! I could not be more pleased or express the gratitude I have for this customer service experience. Garment Care has made a loyal customer and I highly recommend to check them out. I went to this Pride location because I had heard good things about Pride in Westport and around midtown. Dude, every experience with this store has been disappointing and frustrating. I had a pair of slacks I took in on my first visit along with several dress shirts. I had to take the slacks back THREE times in order to get some small spots removed that were caused by a milkshake that splashed on a floor in a restaurant near were I was standing (simple protein stains) THREE TIMES I had to take them back because the spots continued showing up every time I went to pick them up. I was offered no apology and no compensation for all of the repeat visits. Then I started uncovering the dress shirts I got back from them in my closet and there was no starch and no seams pressed on the shirts!!!!! Everytime I dropped shirts off I requested heavy starch. They ignored all of my requests. Guys...a dry cleaner? I have few requests. #1 Clean my clothes #2 iron the shirts and add starch when I request it. These people aren't even kind. Just a warning before you invest the time and money that I did in the NKC location. Find another dry cleaner.

The dryers are cheap. quarter for 5mins. I only need to put dollar in to use 20mins to dry my clothes. Dryer from my place cost me 3-3.50. However, i do like that on Wednesday's its 2 dollars off washers after 4pm. I just wish it was all day. The place is very clean, temperature is cool, bathroom is nice and clean. From that experience I think the same owners have the laundry mat and Subway. I also think these are minority owned businesses. Lots of people in the neighborhood need the service.
