Here she charged me $55 and after I insisted on a discount she charged me $50. This is daylight robbery. She claimed other cleaners like Nature's Green don't dry clean, they just use water to launder clothes dropped off for dry cleaning. Whatever! Do not use this cleaner for your dry cleaning or they will take you to the cleaners.

I brought my favorite silk vintage dress scarf to Gate cleaners on Friday, May 27th because I wanted it to be clean for the wedding we attended on June 2 overseas. I put it on the counter and asked Kim if this was something he can clean. After he inspected it he simply said yes. It was left in his care without damage. He did not mention any damage verbally to me. When I picked it up I was DEVASTATED to find holes in several places and frayed in two places of the rolled edges. It is no longer wearable due to the damage from the lack of care given at this business. When I went back to discuss the issue Kim said "it came to me that way." I told him that's not true. He asked me to prove it to him. He was firm in taking no responsibility for the damage he did to my vintage silk scarf. He didn't share with me that it would probably get ruined in the dry cleaning process. As a "professional" he should have inspected the item, shown me if there was previous damage prior to accepting it, and then decide if he was capable of cleaning it. he could have told me that hand washing the scarf would have been the best option for avoiding damage. He took my payment instead of doing the right thing. I learned a hard lesson from this situation. Never dry clean anything you care about at Gate Cleaners and don't go to shops that don't care about the service they provide to the items left in their care. Unintentionally I was late to pick up my laundry from washing due to house chores, arriving about 1.5 hours later than expected. My stuff was put away, which I had no complaint, and there were quite a few washers unoccupied when I was searching my laundry. Then a female employee (gray hair, short stature) began yelling at me aggressively before I could say a word. I was given no chance to explain and was immediately threatened. When I tried to leave to avoid further conflict, she continued yelling and threatened to call 911. When I turned back toward the store, she photographed me and my car -- including my license plate -- without my consent, while calling me "bitch." When I asked her to stop, she called 911 and told police I had touched her. I did not touch her. What struck me most: she was screaming and threatening throughout the incident, but when she was speaking with police, I could hear her laughing -- completely calm and cooperative. The contrast was stark and deeply unsettling. Police came, heard both sides separately, and asked me not to return. The owner also showed up. When I described what happened, he told me he didn't believe I could have said nothing to set her off -- essentially dismissing my account on the spot and siding with his employee without looking at any evidence. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. I live nearby and I'm concerned about my safety -- she has photos of me and my license plate. Other customers in the area should be aware. There's a few benches for you to sit if you want to wait there. Very clean inside and the person(s) on staff are there in case you have any issues. There are different sized washers depending on how much laundry you have or if you have large items such as comforters. You purchase or load a laundry card and if you have less than $1.00 leftover they will give you change. I just leave it on the card and reload more money the next time I do laundry. There's an ATM inside in case you need to make withdrawals to load your laundry card. A few machines are set up so you can actually use a credit card. I recommend using the smaller dryers because it's actually faster at drying clothes. There are large tables where you can fold your clothes after they're dried. Clean laundromat and there's always machines available when I've gone.
