My guy and I were in Waterbury overnight to attend a skate session at the nearby Roller skate rink, and this was actually our third stay here. The first two times were what we were looking for in an overnight quick stay. It was quiet, the room sheets and towels were clean and it appeared that the rooms were recently updated. However, our overnight visit last night was a different experience. We had just come from VT from a day of skiing and just wanted to have a quick rest before going out again that night. We discovered that the toilet wasn't flushing however my handy boyfriend performed a minor repair. We discovered that the heat was either off or on hell hot, and absolutely nothing in between. It appeared the refrigerator was not cleaned from the stay of the last guest and the bedsheets, although they appeared clean had cigarette burns in them, the top quilt had burns as well. It was already hot as hell in there, so I slept on top of the bed and protected my skin in my pjs. It could have been a one-off situation, but when my boyfriend checked out and explained our experience, the manager didn't seem interested or apologetic about the rooms condition, so with that said, we will probably never stay there again. read more

Everyday I would have to get a new key card for my room after work & everyday sale lady would act like she didn't know me & staying there & after 4th day coming she said my name wasn't in there & wouldn't make me a key & when she pronounced my name incorrectly when I was telling her the right way (why she didn't say I was staying there) said I was blaming her pronouncing it wrong because she's a woman which was obviously false. Then she tells me she wasn't going to make me my key because i corrected her in the pronunciation of my name when if she just looked at the name that I said not knowing how to pronounce it she would see it's the name. Then calls me at my room to bitch at me more. Will never stay at any quality shit inn & she had the NERVE to say I was pronouncing my own name wrong when she realized how incompetent she really was. read more

I used the jacuzzi and bugs and old hair came from the jets so it was not cleaned properly. The orange that I grabbed for breakfast was rotten. I will near stay at a Quality Inn again because of this place. read more

They should add this phrase under the sign: (and by "quality" we mean "sketchy") First off, I pulled into this murder hut and was immediately sketched out. I guess even Connecticut has a Lawrence, MA. I WILL say that when I checked in, the guy at the front desk was a really good guy. Got to my first room, walked in and instantly said out loud "NOOOOOPE..." turned right around and went back to the front desk. That room smelled like it was MADE out of cigarette butts. So the guy gave me another room which was a little better. If you could ignore the burn holes in the sheets, the trim all falling off the wall, and the filthy open drain lever hole from an apparent shower "remodel." (See pics) There was also one weird dude in the parking lot who by the time I got back to the 2nd room had Moved his car 3 times and was smoking and on his phone in and out of his car this whole hour... also super comforting, maybe it's a Comfort Inn... anyway, I was working nights which comforted me in the fact that I didn't have to leave my truck parked at this place overnight, but day sleeping at a hotel is usually a challenge all by itself. But this place wanted to make it better. Day 1 apparently someone stole my do not disturb tag (which makes total sense, right? Right...) and the house keeping lady was apparently a former SWAT cop cuz she kicked in my door like it was a raid at like 10AM (aka midnight on this shift) she did say sorry and give me a new DND tag, so there's that. Then an hour later someone was walking around my 2nd floor door with a leaf blower. (Ya know, Obviously... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) turns out they were prepping to paint the balcony walk way and I found out when I got up and opened my door and there was a road cone directly in my doorway. The second day was better as all that happened was my room phone rang at 9AM (aka 11pm) so I unplugged the hell outta that thing. I did try to make coffee with the in room coffee maker that was apparently too challenging to learn how to use by someone who put the coffee bag into the water reservoir with the water, both of which were still in there. Fast forward to checkout, different dudeski at the front desk says "oh I can't print you a receipt cuz hotels.com." Which is pardon my Boston French, hosspuckies, because I always get an itemized receipt for expenses FROM the hotel,and I always use hotels.com. So while the peeps were nice to me, the place was not. Save your money and sanity, stay somewhere else. read more

The worst hotel I have ever been in. The shower head had mold on it, the floor boards did not meet creating a gap, there was a hole in the wall, and the door hinge for extra safety was broken and hanging. Managed stated that the hole was only a small hole and would not issue a refund. There was nothing quality about this stay! read more

Horrible. Absolutely horrible hotel. Between travel for work, and leisure - I spend an average of 50 nights per year in hotel rooms. This hotel.... Was by far the WORST. I chose this hotel because I am a loyal choice privileges member - or at least I was. And I have never in my life complained about a hotel room (even though lord knows I've had reason to). But this place was so bad, I felt it my duty to inform other travelers. And I gave them, and the company as a whole, ample opportunity to make it right. But they wouldn't. Dirty, inside and out. Deteriorating room. Gross sheets. Terrible smell. Rude staff. Just all around awful. The ONLY positive aspect of this place was the adjacent Italian restaurant - which was good. If I had to choose between staying in this hotel again, or sleeping in my car - I would choose my car. Hands down, no doubt. read more

The price was ok... But the first guy at the counter was a complete jerk. The room was decent with the exception of the people partying at 4 in the morning. Breakfast a nice spread of powdered eggs, sausage things, and the worst waffle I have ever attempted to eat. But it was free, right?!! Get me out of Connecticut!!! read more

This hotel was not worth the price at all. There was a hole in the bathroom wall filled with toilet paper, cobwebs in the corners of the ceilings, and blood stains on the curtain (as well as on the sidewalk outside). I notified the front desk manager and he could not switch us to a new room since there were not enough available, and housekeeping wasn't available to clean the dirty room. I will never stay here again, and will absolutely never recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

This place is expensive and the outside is dirty. The breakfast is free and it's okay. The room is clean and doesn't smell but the faucet broke and they didn't offer to move me in another room because I was still able to turn it on and off. The wifi is spotty but what do you expect for free wifi? If they charge like 70 bucks instead of almost 100 a night I would rate it higher. I just think the price is steep for what you get. read more

As Keith P. said, the guy at the front desk from 3:00 to 11:00 PM, a small guy with glasses is the wrong temperament for this job.We checked in around after 3:00 PM. The first thing I noticed was the attitude of the clerk. I walk with a cane and he said that we were set for the second floor. I asked if they had an elevator to which he said no. I told him I could not climb stairs and he put us in one of the last two rooms around back. When I entered room 115 the rug was worn and dirty. Outside its dirty, as well as my son's room. The bath room had little toilet paper and I had to borrow one from room 116 which was my son's room. Unacceptable. I pulled down the bed and the sheets were stained. I slept on top of the blanket. Outside the smell of pot permeated outside as we came back from my mother's at night. On the second night, my wife could not find her jewelry, she searched and searched and I called the front desk, the same gentleman answered and I spoke to him about it The person told me that I would have to call in the morning, make out an incident report and call the police. Our morning would have been rushed so I told the man that I would call the police immediately. He said OK. While I was on the phone with the police, my wife found the missing jewelry and I advised the police about it. The dispatcher said it was fine and that no police would be sent out. As a courtesy and because I was wrong, I called the front desk to apologize to the man in question. As I started to do so he grew agitated and started to scold me as if I were a little child. I tried to apologize but he was more interested that the police would come, nonetheless. He hung up abruptly and needless to say the police never showed up. Being a guest in the hotel and I do not need to be treated like a child. I made a mistake and wanted to simply rectify it by simply advising the man that I was wrong., The front desk man is a total jerk. On the morning we were about to check out my wife was stopped on the second day that she could not take breakfast back to her room when nothing was said the day before. My wife and I are diabetics and she was bringing something back to my son who has a disability. Their exercise room is unusable, the thread mill was broken, the place had an order. They lock the orange juice and apple juice dispensary after 9:30 so the guest cannot take any. How cheap is that. I asked the clerk about it and he told me he had no key. He called them breakfast items, apple juice is not breakfast item. I told the gentleman in the morning and he told me to contact the manager and he would take care of it. He was the only reason I did not post this earlier, because he was nice but his manager made him out to be a liar, because upon sending an email to the manager all he offered me was 2000 point on the Choice Rewards. That is a slap in the face, cheap and unacceptable. After giving the manager another chance, he blankly told me that his offer was final. In closing do not stay at this motel, you WILL regret it. In as far as CHOICE Hotels, make it your choice not to stay there. UNACCEPTABLE! read more

Rooms were terrible, burn holes in blankets and comforter. Office chair was shredded and needs to go to the dump. We put reservations in the night before for two days, and wanted to use a corporate lodging card (CLC) which they said that they accepted. When we arrived at the hotel after working all night. The older woman at the counter was very rude. She wouldn't take the CLC card. We wanted to get to sleep, but she wouldn't give us a room until we paided for a extra night! The rooms were $110 a night.so basically we paid $440 for 2 rooms for one night ! Then after working all night we came back to the hotel to the same rude lady, no breakfast, or even coffee! Will never go back again and highly recommend you try to find a different hotel ! read more

For the price it is a nice hotel in this part. The staff was warm and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The carpet was stained but I saw that flooring work was going on and they told me that they are changing the flooring in all rooms. I used to stay here when it used to be a Super8 before they shut it down. The new owners have done a good job and I stay here every time I visit my family in Waterbury. read more

I stayed in this location and let me tell u if I had the option to not even put in a star I would I stayed here 2 nights 8/7/15 + 08/8/15 checked out 8/9/15 and I asked 3 times to please clean my room both nights and I left to and came back to my hotel and came back to my room not ever being clean I complaint to the manager on duty and was told just sorry like really sorry is not fixing the problem I would not recommend this hotel to anyone worse experience I ever had with my husband and kids read more

Comfortable bedding and clean rooms. The breakfast was good and plentiful and the staff service was very good. Right off I-84. I would definitely be staying here whenever I am in the area. read more
