We stayed at this hotel for a night during our trip to Yellowstone, both on the way there and on our return. The location is very convenient, situated right at the intersection with some restaurant chains and gas stations close by. Parking was ample and easily accessible. While the property is a bit older and does not have an elevator, the room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. It was definitely worth the price. This hotel was quiet, comfortable and clean. I was exhausted and this place gave me the much needed rest. Pool and jacuzzi open until 10pm for kids, midnight for adults. Staff is incredibly kind. My kids went back for 3rds for breakfast!! I had a small report on a stained coffee maker and they were immediately on it (actually said they would check every room) Highly recommend. I used some of my Choice Hotel points for a free room at the Quality Inn in Pocatello on our 2020 summer road trip. We were warmly greeted by the front desk clerk. She wasn't wearing a mask, however, that seemed to be the norm in the Pocatello area, from what I observed. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Everything seemed to be very clean. We did not use the indoor pool, but it was just down the hall from our room. It appeared that were booking only first floor rooms, due to Covid-19. The breakfast buffet wasn't available, but we able to get two breakfast "to-go" bags, which had a muffin and an orange. These bags are available from the front desk, upon request. All in all, it was a good stay. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we are ever in Pocatello in the future. read more

I am pulling a trailer and pull in to check in. There is no way to turn around and no place to park! I go in and ask, "where can I park?" The office girl says, anywhere you want. I say, I would like to park someplace safe for my vehicle and stuff contained within said vehicle. She says, anywhere along the street. I am paying good money to risk the safety of my vehicle and stuff. Never again at this location. Thus place is a joke. Hey, it's not the Waldorf Astoria, but the rooms were clean and not terrible. Maybe slightly dated, but not worn out or way out of style. TV's are not huge, but the wifi seemed to be fast - probably top 20% of hotels for speed - and also easy to access. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient in a personalize sort of way. Not the super fake overly friendly people you sometimes get in the city. Checkin was quick an painless. They seem to have enough parking and the lot is not too crammed like it is on some of the older hotels. Also have a breakfast which includes scrambled eggs and sausages as well as a number of other choices. Seems to be used by a lot of work crew but it is not loud at all. I guess they know where to get a good night's sleep for a good value. Speaking of sleep, the bed was quite good. A firm mattrass but with a thick pillow topper. After a 6 hr drive, walking into the lobby and being greeted by friendly, helpful staff - and the aroma of freshly baked cookies - was pretty awesome. My room was clean, and I was thrilled to find that the pillows AND the mattress were both the perfect level of comfortable (for me). My experience this time was far worse! First off, I wanted to mention that last time I had a room with a queen bed, while this time I got a room with a (very comfortable,) king bed and it DID have a microwave and fridge. My negative experience started when I checked in. They had accidentally checked another customer in on my reservation.(This was an innocent mistake; he had the same first name as me and his last name was only one letter different.) It took her 10-15 minutes to figure this all out and correct it. When she did so, she found that she had lost the credit card information my company had submitted with the reservation. (It was too late at night to call my office to get this information again.) She was able to find the credit card number from the records of my stay the week before, but it didn't include the expiration date. This obviously was a problem, and she worked on her computer for another 5 minutes trying to figure out how to fix it. Finally she told me it would work, but she needed my personal card in case of incidentals. I thought this was odd, as they had never required that before, and told her that I only had $100 in my personal account right now, so she couldn't charge the $366 owed for my room to that card. She assured me she wouldn't. When I woke up the next morning however, my account was $266 in the negative! Long story short, the girl at the front desk in the morning was INCREDIBLY RUDE and unhelpful when I told her what had happened. She said she couldn't do a thing about it and didn't seem to care, even when I told her that because of this I had no money to eat today or to get gas to drive home later this week. When I called the corporation phone number, the lady at the choice hotels headquarters was not very sympathetic, and really didn't seem to care when I told her how badly they had messed me up financially. When I complained as to how rude and unhelpful the girl at the front desk had been that morning, she just brushed me off without even an apology. She was only slightly more helpful than the girl at the counter, but it looks like what she did will get me my money refunded eventually. Luckily for me, my bank has a branch here and has been really helpful, otherwise I would be literally starving this week and have no way to drive home!!! Since that second day, the lady who works the front counter most days from 3-11, Rachel, has been very apologetic and sympathetic. She and the night auditor, Blake, have both been very helpful and really cool about things. (Too bad the other employees of this company I had to deal with weren't like them.) As a side note, I want to add again, their ridiculous internet sponsor thing is infuriatingly annoying still. Today, after I had been logged in online for about 25 minutes, it hijacked four of my browser tabs with it's sponsor pages and after unsuccessfully trying to get my pages back, I just ended up shutting the computer down. :( read more

Pay more and get a different hotel or pay less and get a different hotel. Either way, stay somewhere else. This place is terrible and the service was also super disappointing. We booked here because they had a room with a king bed and a pullout couch. Pullout couch had dirty sheets from the previous guests (no big, it happens) and only 5 small throw-pillow sized pillows on the bed. When we politely asked for clean sheets and a couple of pillows for the pullout the lady said "sorry we have no more pillows"- say what? I called again and explained that we didn't have enough pillows and asked if they could maybe snag some from an empty room- this place was 1/2 full at best. She was annoyed but shows up with 2 more pillows, tosses them at my polite daughter (who thanked her immensely) but then added rudely that she had to take these from other guests and stomped off. Suck rocks night lady! Also dirty pool, ants in our dirty bathroom, and breakfast was sub-par. Wouldn't ever, ever, ever come back. read more

We both slept great! The free breakfast in the morning was good with a good selection. The woman at the front desk, Imelda, was very friendly and helpful! No fridge, no microwave. The pool is open until 12am though--a true rarity. The free wifi is the fastest I've seen in Pocatello. The coke machine takes debit/credit. The breakfast is minimal, but fulfilling. Desk staff are less than exciting, but you're not there for conversation. Exceptionally kind house keepers. The shower basin wouldn't drain properly, but I bet it was just my luck. Not a bad price. Good A/C. read more

We came in late night after 12 hours of driving. We checked in with our pet. The front desk staff was great, the room was clean with two queen size beds and the bathroom had all the necessities. Well first they had no rooms with one bed, then they offered me a double bed room at a little over 100 dollars. Checked my bank statement and with taxes was about 124.00. That said the bathroom was poorly refurbished, the cheap lanoleum squeaked while showering, the drain stop kept closing making showering difficult. The painting was covering a very bad sheet rock repair. I am very funny about clean bathrooms and this grossed me out. Usually Comfort Inn's are tolerable, not this time. The only thing I enjoyed was the feather down comforter and fridge, cable and coffee pot. For a hundred dollars I want a good clean room not a poorly refurbished badly repaired bathroom! Not sure why Pocatello is always so difficult when finding a good hotel? Oh they do have Wi'fi. Good luck if you choose this hotel/motel. read more

Nice place at a good price. The staff was helpful, the room was clean and the breakfast bar was well stocked. It was easy on and off the freeway but was still quiet. The only drawback was I couldn't find the elevator so I carried my bags upstairs. I don't know if the have an elevator or not, so I didn't take any points away. read more

The advertised queen beds were full size, there were stains on the sheets, the shower had definitely not been washed and we found dirty garbage in the bathroom and under the desk. My husband and I booked this hotel because the reviews were good but oh my gosh it was horrible. I have a three week old baby and a three year old. I checked in and I immediately noticed the run down pool and got nervous. When we went to our room I started looking around. I was in the room for 5 minutes and couldn't stay. There was shoe prints on the "new clean" sheets as well as eyelashes- GROSS. The bathroom was dirty and the wall looked moldy and was peeling as well as cobwebs in the ceiling corner. I put my kids back in the car, sanitized all hands and checked out. The front desk woman was very friendly when I first checked in even though she seemed stressed but when I checked out she refused to refund me anything at all (about $80 is what I spent total). I then had to go up the street and pay a last minute rate of $155 but I truly didn't care as my kids were able to sleep in a clean place!! I will not try to book here ever again. read more

The hotel was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was always stocked well and was fulling. The pool is open really late at night which is an added bonus. Check out was also late compared to other hotels which was great and allowed us to waist some time so we did not get to our next destination too early. The staff was also super friendly and tried to give recommendations for things to do around town. Lastly upon check in the hotel also gives you a piece of paper that list local restaurants that give you either a 5% or 10% discount when you show your key card. I would stay again if i am passing through again or even longer if needed. read more

The night manager was amazing! We were there 7/18. She was so busy but she did her job with a smile. She had a number of people when we checked in but still managed to get our rollaway bed to our room quickly. She also brought out cookies and lemonade and knocked on the pool window to see if we wanted some. She was working above and beyond!
