To say that I am absolutely disappointed and utterly embarrassed with how things were handled with our wedding hotel block for May 18, 2019 is a complete understatement.
I had at least 3 out of state guests tell me that their room was given away well before the time on their confirmation email due to your hotel overbooking. One of these guests drove 8 hours that day to be there for our wedding and had to drive at least an hour to find a hotel room after the wedding because all other hotels were booked in the area.
Another male guest was given a room key, and when he entered the room found that there was a woman already in the room. He was completely mortified to walk in on her.
Another guest was already checked into her room, and when she came home from the wedding at 1:30am found her key was deactivated. When she went to get a new key, she found they had changed the name on the hotel room. It then took over a half hour to fix this issue and she couldn't get into her room until 2am.
Finally, I was notified that the elevator broke on Thursday and for some unknown reason it could not be fixed until Monday. Many elderly guests had to haul their bags up 2 or 3 flights of stairs, and we even had a guest fall while using the stairs.
There are no words to express my how upset I was to find how my wedding guests were treated during their stay. read more
