The staff is exceptional and very accomodating. In the middle of a wedding I expected hiccups at the hotel with several rooms reserved and yet no problems arose. I also want to call out the attendant at the breakfast on Sunday. I saw as all of my nieces. nephews and children as well as family were having a good time while eating breakfast that she was never frazzled and she continued to serve with a smile. She is a keeper! This is a family owned hotel that works to provide the best value and stay possible. Extra towels, room trasnfer to accomdate accompanying rooms, they got it done. As a business owner I know that the best way for businesses to improve is to make them aware of issues as they occur, not after the stay. We made reservations to stay for 2 days to attend a family wedding. When we checked in and went to our rooms WE FOUND A LARGE BUG (ROACH) see photo. We notified Sonny the manager and he came in the room and took the roach and left without saying anything. I immediately went to the front desk and told them we were leaving. He refused to refund our money because we didn't give them 24 hour notice. I told them IF THEY WOULD HAVE TOLD ME THEY HAD ROACHES WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATION I WOULD NEVER HAD MADE THE RESERVATION. We unfortunately were in Hillsboro for a funeral and had to have a place to stay. This place fit our needs perfectly. The beds were clean and extremely comfortable. My brother said it was the best shower he ever had. The complimentary breakfast was a nice perk. We had eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy with orange juice. The hotel shows some wear but overall a nice place to stay. The customer service was awesome. They check in person expressed condolences as well as the check out person. Very sweet staff. read more

This hotel is horrible please don't stay here! I was in town for the Oklahoma VS Baylor football game my son is in the pride of oklahoma and we stayed here, after a 6 hour drive a nice shower would be nice but nope, I could use it because of the shower handle broke, molds growing everywhere so I decide to go to sleep I pull down the sheets theres HAIR, and what looks like pee stains this place is so disgusting I wanted to sleep in my car, the breakfast was so nasty, the eggs had water in them just downed in it, the biscuits were obviously store bought and heated up they were gross, I check out and no one is there, not a soul, this place is horrible, the only reason it gets two is because its not overpriced and not to far from Waco. Staying at this property this weekend for Baylor's Homecoming weekend we had reserved a room here months ago as the rates were much cheaper than staying in Waco. Hillsboro is only 30 minutes north of Waco and not a bad drive at all. One of the reasons why I chose this place was because of Sondra who was very personable on the phone and made the experience and stay here so much nicer. The property is located right next to the Hillsboro Outlet Mall and close to many places to eat. An older property it definitely shows some wear and tear but generally was clean and basic. Some issues I had were the musty smell in the hallways that typically I never encounter in chains such as Hampton Inn or the newer Holiday Inns. But it's quite obvious this property is pretty dated. The pluses are that the staff here is very friendly and the location is good! We saved a ton of money staying here vs Waco and like the fact that it's right off the freeway and very well lit in the area! If you're looking for a basic room that's clean and convenient this fits the bill. No bells and whistles here but we were very impressed with the positive and friendly attitudes of the employees! read more

I was getting too tired to continue my drive home so I started calling hotels in and around Waco and Hillsboro. I was surprised at the extreme difference in the price of hotels in Waco versus Hillsboro. I thought I had called Holiday Inn express for a room but when I got there, the lady at the front desk very rudely told me that I was wrong about the rate and perhaps I had called the Quality Inn by mistake. There's no way I was staying there after her rudeness. I came to the Quality Inn, however, read some very old reviews in the parking lot. I decided this place needed a newer review. Yes, the loveseat in the room is outdated and things seem to be old but it was a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel for the price. And, the young girl at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating. The employee at the holiday in express needs to come down here for some training. I will come back. read more

Great place to stay. Friendly staff. The woman who greets you in the morning always has a smile on her face and remembered our names. The room is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The toilet isn't so low your knees pop. Breakfast is good. Staff keeps it hot and fresh. We will stay here and drive to Waco. read more

Updating review to five stars for prompt and caring customer service. My original dissatisfaction stands. However, as I was driving home from my visit to this hotel, a mere few hours after my check out, the manager called me to offer her sincere apologies. She was very professional and genuinely apologetic. I appreciate when management doesn't hedge or make excuses. She did neither. She took full responsibility and advised me that because of my complaint and pictures she was hosting a meeting in which she would share my experiences. She told me that she encourages her staff to be mindful of the "little things" and clearly that wasn't done. I have to admit, as a consumer, that is exactly what will make an establishment stand out...attention to the little things because they aren't that little to us. She also said that my experience with the internet service would be the impetus for her to seek another provider of the current one couldn't provide better service. She is an extraordinary manager and I applaud the way she handled my situation. I am well aware that she was not personally responsible but she took full responsibility without debate. She should be commended for her great management skills. So, in the end, my less than happy experience ended on a positive note. I would also like to add that my grandson and I ate at the breakfast before we left. The food was good and fresh and the server was friendly and engaging. It was a pleasure to spend my morning chatting briefly with her. read more

This is top quality hotel, so its name for Quality Inn no wrong at all. I enjoyed my trip to Texas and stayed at Quality Inn. The hotel was very nice, quiet, and clean. We even requested to have a higher floor and no guest next door, the girl in front desk just gave us a quiet place. we could not sleep the night before at another hotel because the guest next room was noisy. We just wanted to relax and sleep after long trip and we got all from Quality Inn. The girls all were very friendly. They had cookies at dinner time. The breakfast was good too. Everything was perfect! I can't wait to go back to Texas and will stay here again. Btw, the hotel is next to Hillsboro Outlet store, we can walk to the store to see around. read more

My room was nice and comfortable for the price. The hotel it's self is a little dated, and the carpet is very worn down the halls. Also the breakfast was not very good, but it was not horrible. The staff is very friendly and accommodates very nicely. I forgot my suit in the closet and had no issues getting it back about 45 minutes after I left. Over all I am very happy with my whole experience and will stay again if I am in the area. read more

Love this hotel. The front desk clerks are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The room we had, #106, was large. The sleeping area had a large, comfortable king size bed, two night stands, and a 3 drawer bureau, a refrigerator and a tv. The tv was on top of the bureau, but there was plenty of room left over on it to put your pocketbook or whatever else you want to put up there. The sitting area had a sofa and a desk with a drawer. My husband is a stickler for cleanliness, and the room passed his inspection. So did the bathroom, which was large enough to be comfortable. The sink had enough room around it for our toiletries and my makeup. We were only spending the night there, but I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the area. read more
