Friendly reminder- you get what you pay for. My original…read morestay was cxl'd because they had flooding so in a pinch I booked econo lodge. I didn't expect much knowing it was practically a tweaker hotel but I was prepared for not the best stay. This review is my warning to women! As a single female traveling alone I make it a priority to be safe. The first thing I did was check the room and put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. I have no need for cleaning services & it makes me nervous to have unknown people in my room without my consent but they had a sign on the bathroom mirror stating room service was by request only(picture attached for proof). I spent my first night and left in the morning for my day with the 'do not disturb' on the door handle. When I returned to my room later that day my sign was removed and my room was cleaned. Not only was the sign removed but it was not put back in the room for me to put back on the door. Needless to say I was very uncomfortable after that. None of my belongings were taken to my knowledge but I specifically didn't want anyone in my room, hence the sign and I felt a boundary was crossed. Honestly the only reason this isn't a 1 star is because I was very appreciative of the restroom smelling like bleach. I was in a pinch but I will not be staying here again and if you're a female I'd recommend different accommodations.

Upon walking in the room, it did have a less than favorable smell. We sprayed it with air freshener and it seemed to improve over the few days that we were there. The room was standard with two queen beds, a small bathroom, a much larger sink area, and a mini fridge. The beds were well slept in- creaky when you get up. They weren't the most comfortable, but I've slept on worse. It was mostly quiet for sleeping with the exception of some folks fighting one morning, waking us prematurely. The shower was clean and hot. The air condition worked well. We had an Amazon package delivered to the main office and had no difficulty retrieving it the day after it was delivered. I wouldn't stay here as a single female but as a group, it was suitable for sleeping. If you plan on spending any real time relaxing at the hotel, this one isn't for you.

I recently stayed at the Sleep Inn & Suites in Gallatin, Tennessee for a family funeral and overall…read moreit was mostly positive experience with a few frustrations work mentioning. The Good: The location is fantastic right in the middle of everything. There are plenty of places to eat within minutes, plus Walmart and several clothing stores close by which made running errands for things we forgot really convenient. The room itself was clean and while the beds weren't the most comfortable I've ever slept on they were management for a couple of nights. The breakfast was one of the highlights of the stay. They offered a great spread of hot foods like waffles, eggs, and breakfast meats along with cereal, bagels, and other simple options. They also have a 24-hour coffee station near the front desk which can be a life saver for those like us who traveled far. The Bad: The parking situation needs improvement. The lot is very small, and if the hotel is fully booked you may end up parking along the curb or needing permission to use the rewards members spots. Larger vehicles and trailers also take up multiple spots, which make the situation difficult. Another issue is that there rarely seems to be a front desk employee actually at the front desk. you have to ring a bell and wait to be seen through cameras, which can be inconvenient especially during the day when people are constantly checking in or out. My biggest frustration came after checkout. We booked through a 3rd party and choose the option to pay-at-property, even upon check-in we were asked for a photo-id and a credit card to charge the room to. When we returned home, we realized the wrong card had been charged and the card we handed was never used. I called on 12/10 to clear things up and ensure both cards would not be charged, but the woman who answered the phone had a very hard time understanding what I was asking. She thought I was calling to book a new stay, then assumed I was currently checked-into the hotel and asked for my room number. Eventually, she said the person who checked us in would have to call me back to explain why she didn't charge the correct card. When I asked when that would be she said the next time she came to work. Meanwhile, I still have a pending charge nearly a week after checkout. If someone is working the front desk, they need to be able to communicate clearly, understand billing questions, and know how to direct concerns to a manager. Asking a guest to wait days for the original employee to return isn't acceptable when it comes to charges paid by guest. Finial thoughts: This hotel has a lot going for it-great location, solid breakfast, and friendly staff. But the inconsistence between employees, parking limitations definitely need major attention. Which this improvements, I would consider staying again.
