OMG! The Cedar Grove Inn is the BEST place to stay…read more Let's just put it out there, most places that are available to rent for either the night or a week are either really seedy or are expensive cookie cutter rooms. At Cedar Grove Inn, not only are the rooms large and clean but at the Inn the love that goes into each room can be seen as you walk in. Every guest room has a large basket of snacks...cookies, chips, granola bars, etc. I stayed downstairs and I had a very spacious, comfortable room. The adjoining bathroom has a walk in shower and a huge claw foot soaking tub. Bath bombs are supplied if you want to take a long soak. There is also a mini fridge in the bath so that you can put drinks (supplied) or left overs in it. The breakfast is delicious. The food in the fridge is available at any time. If you are staying any length of time Kim or Rich will do their best to get it. Kim and Rich also supply beer and wine in the main kitchen so you can enjoy a happy hour before going out to explore Nashville for the evening. The couple are delightful to visit with. Don't be surprised if you see family stop by. Everyone is fun. I stayed a couple of weeks and received invitations to their open house at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I had fun! They raise chickens on the grounds and are certified to to sell both eggs and chickens. The chickens are delightful to watch for a city girl. They are released from their coop late morning and are allowed to free range until dark. I don't usually post reviews of places that I have stayed to but go see Kim and Rich at Cedar Grove Inn. It is an exceptional place to stay.

The breakfast was so good, bacon, eggs, toast, fresh fruit...coffee! The house is beautiful and I hope to return, having a little more time to enjoy the grounds.

I recently tried the cucumber salad and am now obsessed. I hope this is not a seasonal item. The inside is a wine bar with plenty of options to choose from. Even if you aren't getting wine or one of the batched cocktails in side I still recommend walking through. The vibes are high and the interior design is gorgeous. The outside had plentiful seating. If you're lucky, you might get a seat around a real wood fireplace. If I could suggest one thing to Urban Cowboy it would be to provide blankest to those sitting outside without the fire place. I believe they do have blankets set out but I was unsure if I could take them so I just left them on the chair. I think it would be better to have an area with a sign saying "blankets for guests" or something along the lines. I always get a dirty martini at Urabn Cowboy. Its crisp yet dirty and always hits the spot. Another good option here is a aperol spritz. Theres always a line at the bar. I've talked to the bartenders and he confirmed you DO NOT have to line up in a single file line but it always happens. You can walk up like a normal bar and order!!

Located in East Nashville away from the widespread tourist traps of Broadway, the bed and breakfast is in a cooler, mostly residential neighborhood, and it has its own "public house" separate from the main house but connected by a popular yard with lots of seating. The night we went was warm, and there were plenty of people in the pub, but the loud rap music playing over the speakers didn't seem to fit the vibe of the thoughtful interior design at all to me. I should note I would feel the same if they were blasting the same country top 40 as the spots on Broad or regular top 40, and I know, to some, it's a petty thing, and the staff probably play what they want, but as far as ambiance goes, that was the only negative thing I remember feeling at the time, and because it was audio, it was inescapable. If the music had been a bit lower or had been instrumental, I think it would have been a more immersive experience. We got nice drinks in the parlor bar and enjoyed the music room, and the visual aspect was lovely. I wished I'd had more time to spend there. Perhaps there'll be a "next time."

Upon arrival, you step into the elegantly restored mansion with historic decor and are immediately transported to an earlier time and place of architectural beauty. Our party (3 women) reserved carriage house 1 adjacent to the kitchen side of the mansion. The accommodation was amazingly comfortable, with great space and modern renovations. The grounds are stunning, featuring varieties of trees, flowers, and birds. We enjoyed immensely the peaceful walks around the grounds every morning and evening. As incredible as the property is, the staff made our stay remarkable. Kellie, Sarah, and Brian exceeded all expectations for extraordinary service! The breakfasts were delicious and different every morning and all the staff genuinely wanted to make our dining experience perfect! They offered great recommendations for daily activities in and around the city. They provided exceptional suggestions for evening dining. We came to celebrate my birthday, and this gem was extraordinary in every way! Initially, we intended to stay in a hotel downtown. This property is only 5 miles away from downtown and near the major highways to travel north or south. It was the perfect place!
