The renovations they have undertaken are nice--and I love me the orange scented bathroom products--but hard to reconcile the value proposition unless small and cute is what you crave and price is no object. My wife and I loved our visit. The Germantown Inn is so homey and quiet. Everything was clean, well maintained and staffed with friendly people. It's within walking distance of the convention center and Broadway touristy area. There are plenty of places to eat within Germantown. Check out Little Hats Italian Market! Uber can pick up right out the front door. My only wish list item would be for a ceiling fan above the bed, but we travel with one anyway. Totally recommend. read more

I was disappointed with my experience here given that I was expecting it to be a "luxury" hotel and paid a hefty amount to stay the night ( $400+). In my opinion there was nothing luxury or high end about this place. Remember to ask for the door code because the only way inside to get to the reception area is to punch in a passcode to unlock the door. On the plus side, they allow dogs in certain rooms so we were able bring our dog with an additional $50 pet fee and the staff members are friendly. On the down side, the Adam Room that we stayed at was nothing special. The room was right next to the entrance of the building so you can hear people come in and out the building, or stomp up and down the stairs. It is also next to a small parking lot where you can hear people close their car door and trunk. You wouldn't want to open your window blinds because there is no privacy. I can't speak for the other rooms in the hotel, but at least in the Adam Room, there was no refrigerator to keep food and water bottles in. The AC was functional but super loud. It woke me up a few times. I think perhaps the steep price is due the neighborhood and walkability to restaurants. This is not the place if you are expecting room service. They don't serve dinner. I would not recommend this place if you are expecting a luxury boutique hotel. read more

I highly recommend this place! It was beautiful. Chrissy and Amy were so sweet and accommodating. We stayed in the Jefferson. The king size bed was clean, plush, and extremely comfortable. All the extras in the room were a nice touch. They had a charcuterie, local beer and wine hour from 5-6. Yummy!! There are many little cozy areas to sit. My wife and I stayed last night as a night out for our anniversary. I got the "romance" package, which was executed perfectly by the whole staff. Plus, the service given to all the guests, that we could see, was top-notch. Loved the charcuterie and wine happy hour, and the romantic touches up in our room! I didn't get the pleasure of staying here - but I would die to do so. I went to a Heels & Handshakes event, hosted here. What a charming spot! The courtyard and "lobby" area was quaint, adorable and looked as a dream. We had the pleasure of hearing the history of the building from the innkeeper and developers. I travel A LOT, so trust me when I say I basically live in hotels. The Germantown Inn is by far the best experience I've ever had - truly a home away from home. Veda (the manager) is one of the most welcoming women you will ever meet, and her dog Wrigley is the icing on the cake. From the comfortable beds and modern, artistic furnishings to the home cooked breakfast and happy hour, the Germantown Inn pays attention to every detail. I've stayed there twice now and have left with new friends each time. The hospitable atmosphere makes it impossible not to. I'll be finding an excuse to visit Nashville more often, that's for sure. read more

I wish I could give this place a review with more than 5 stars!! I legit don't wanna stay anywhere else when I come back to Nashville! Everyone was SO NICE who worked there and Hope and Chrissy at the front desk were dope! OK here's everything I loved: -Chrissy upgraded my room to The Jefferson as soon as I got there! Everyone who works there genuinely cares about you and your stay there and it's palpable, the hospitality is amazing. -The place is just plain cool. There is a fun garden patio to lounge, a rooftop patio for another sweet spot to hang, as well as the common area inside which is chic / cozy / open. Parking spots for guests and plenty of parking too. -Breakfast every morning and even better is charcuterie wine hour! I was told that at 5pm they serve wine and charcuterie (great spread) and guests can hang and meet. Talked with Hope and another guest for over an hour, had some laughs and great chats, and with me being an out of towner, Hope gave me the inside scoop on Nashville and the best spots (non touristy)! One of my chillest memories of Nashville from my trip. -The theme of everything at The Germantown Inn and the room is awesome! Super cute decor, some presidential pop art, a desk that makes you feel you have a study, the bathroom was modern and spacious and cool, tall ceilings, legit super comfy bed, and even little things like Fiji water put out for you and a robe in the closet. The layout of the room was just A+ I cannot recommend this place enough and on my next trip I'm booking it 100%!!! read more

If I could give this more than 5stars I would! Truly a gem! My mom and are I are driving across country from CT- AZ our first stop was Nashville and we are SO HAPPY we found this Inn. Vita greeted us so warmly at the door and immediately we felt at home. She knew we had a long drive ahead and upgraded us to a larger room with a larger bed. The grounds are GORGEOUS beautiful lights strung across an outdoor patio and rooftop deck. The Inn is decorated modern and inviting. Our room was spotless! Gorgeous plush linens and the bed (well let me just say it wasn't easy getting out of it this morning!) Breakfast is included and lovely. Vita made sure we were comfortable and fed at all times! I can't say enough great things about this gem. Close proximity to downtown (we walked from the Inn to downtown and it was easy!) and great restaurants in the area! Vita was so helpful with restaurant suggestions and we LOVED having wine hour in the sunroom. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend anyone staying in Nashville to check out Germantown Inn. I first want to say, the actual place itself is phenomenal. Great location, very unique place to stay. BUT the manager, Veda Garner, was the most unwelcoming host I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my entire life! Side not Very unaccommodating. Such a beautiful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Wonderful staff, especially Kasey who went out of her way to make our stay special for our 20th Anniversary. They also provide a wonderful spread for breakfast and wine hour. The garden and roof top patio are delightful open air space to sit any enjoy anytime of the day. A friend and I stayed overnight at the Germantown Inn and were absolutely delighted. The Inn is the only hotel in Germantown, a historic district housing some of Nashville's oldest residential architecture and its can't-miss restaurants/coffee shops. It feels homey and tucked away, but retains the qualities of a vacation retreat. Veda, the innkeeper, greeted us at the front door by name and showed us remarkable hospitality throughout our brief stay - she was brimming with recommendations and kindness, and we loved talking with her over complimentary wine and snacks before walking around the corner to dinner. The room was beautiful. On the second floor facing the street, gorgeous natural light poured through the windows from sunrise to sunset. The provisions were thoughtful, the room was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. There were also relaxing outdoor spaces, including a communal deck and a small courtyard. We did not enjoy our stay here. We were in the outer building and found that it had terrible noise insulation. Every time other guests entered the building, we were woken up because there is so much echo. Nashville is a party town, so people entered the building multiple times after midnight, waking us up two or three times. Women were walking with heels in the room above us in the middle of the night. I slept from about 4AM to 8AM. The night staff assured us that we could move into the main building the next night because rooms would be open, but the morning staff said that it didn't make sense to move us because there would be no one else in our building the that night, so there would be no noise. Unfortunately, they checked two other parties into our building around 5 pm, so we requested again to move into the main building, but they said they had rented all the rooms in the main building. Extremely poor customer service. Would not stay here again. read more

I am almost reluctant to leave this review because I don't want this hidden gem to get overrun...but man is the place awesome!!!! From the service to the food to the rooms, you cannot find better accommodations and great people (JP!) for a stay in Nashville/Germantown. We had an incredible experience here and despite plenty of great places to eat and hang out in this neighborhood we ended up spending the majority of our time simply enjoying the hotel itself (and the company we were with, of course). Excellent for small groups who want to stay together in the same place but want an actual hotel experience (and not an Airbnb). Could not recommend it more highly! read more

In a word: overpriced. $250 for a Thursday night stay and the only hotel staff I saw were two teenagers. Also they don't tell you the place is basically locked so I had to stand outside the hotel for about 15 minutes til I called the hotel (twice) to tell them to let me in. I frequent boutique hotels pretty often and the Germantown Inn was by far my favorite. It's a very small hotel, which makes it very intimate, in the sense that you know everyone staying there and you can mingle with them during happy hour. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with wine and birthday cupcakes were left in our room. The hotel staff was soooo friendly and had a ton of suggestions of where to go in Nashville. It's in Germantown (obviously), but it's surrounded by cute houses and unique restaurants - it was really nice staying in the quiet part of town. If you want a quiet, relaxing place to stay within walking distance to unique restaurants-this is the spot. After the craziness of downtown Nashville, it was enjoyable to return to our quiet room (The Jefferson) on the second floor of the Inn. Had we not been playing tourist, it would have been nice to enjoy the evening wine hour, but we missed it every day. The light continental breakfast in the morning, was perfect to get our day started. Even though our room was in the middle of the 3 on the floor, it was extremely quiet. It overlooked a church parking lot, which never had any activity. The bed was one of the more comfortable beds I've experienced at a hotel in quite a while. Had an awesome experience at Germantown Inn for a girl's weekend! Stayed in The Roosevelt and it was fantastic - Classic, charming rooms with beautiful hard woods, high ceilings and enormous bathrooms that are all totally updated - The bed was so comfortable and the room was spacious and included everything you can imagine from a blow drier to a magnified make-up mirror - Chrissy the Inn keeper was so personable as was Amy and Hope. Enjoyed chatting with these sweet ladies - The charcuterie happy hour every day from 5-7 was really nice as was the fresh breakfast from 8-10 with quiche, muffins, fruit and coffee - Can't wait to go back to this little gem. Book as far in advance as you can--so worth it! My husband and I stayed here one night in August 2018 on a road trip to the East Coast. It was outstanding in every regard--meticulously appointed room, beautiful grounds, wine, snacks, coffee, breakfast, convenient parking, close to everything. On any return trip to Nashville, we will try to book here first. It's small and highly sought after so you need to book as far in advance as you can. It's a "Select Registry" property as well. My husband and I stayed at Germantown Inn twice in the last few months since our daughter moved to Nashville. We've found "our place" to stay every time we come to Nashville. I won't stay anywhere else. I selfishly want to keep this boutique inn to myself but know during these times that businesses such as this depend on me to share my experience so they can remain in business and I can enjoy staying here long into the future. For anyone concerned about their stay, COVID guidelines are followed meticulously. Very much appreciate how they continue to offer delicious complimentary breakfast choices and appetizer hour from 5 to 6pm with individually boxed snacks and wine options. I hope to experience the usual spread when things return to normal. The hospitality is top notch! The bed is so comfortable I've gotten my best sleep in a long time while there. The rooms are decorated beautifully and are super clean. Luxurious linens, towels, robes, toiletries and complimentary bottled water awaited our arrival. The staff is very nice and make you feel at home. I can't wait to stay when the weather is warmer and we can experience the beautiful outdoor courtyard and rooftop patio. They even have rooms that are pet friendly and if I need to bring my dog with me I'm happy to know she we be welcome to stay with us. The Germantown Inn was a wonderful retreat from the hustle of big hotels (even very nice ones). It is an historic inn with very modern decor and excellent amenities. They couldn't serve food due to Covid but they had lovely boxed hors d'oeuvres with a complimentary glass (or two) of wine and sent us off with a lovely breakfast. I am obsessed with this hotel, I almost don't want to review it because I don't want other people to know about it. I came to Nashville on a work trip and had to switch hotels the night before my departure. I wish I had stayed here the whole time! Every detail about this place is gorgeous and welcoming. My room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. This is definitely not your typical hotel. It's so charming and historic and the staff here is the absolute best. The person who checked me in (Matthew? I can't remember) was the absolute sweetest and made me feel so comfortable immediately. I checked in pretty late and it wasn't a problem. If I hadn't been working, I would have gone more exploring since this hotel is in a great neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants. I had to check out just before 6am and it was a seamless process. They even offered me a breakfast bag! I can't believe how reasonable the pricing is for how luxurious it feels. A gem of an inn. Open less than a year, the Germantown inn is an oasis in the midst of bustling Nashville. There are only six rooms in the inn (though an expansion is in the works), each decorated in a simple but tasteful manner. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! Breakfast was delicious, with varied offerings such as quiche, muffins, yogurt, fruit, coffee (it was awesome!), tea and juice available each morning. Another nice touch was wine and cheese each afternoon between 5pm - 6pm. The location of the inn was perfect, in a historic neighborhood about a 20 minute walk from downtown and close to some of the city's best restaurants. We enjoyed being able to escape the downtown crowds and relax at this peaceful inn. The innkeeper, Veda, was wonderful...friendly, warm and accommodating. She made us feel right at home! Advertising suites in reality they are not. Rooms are simple, a bed and a bathroom, one chair no dresser, so tv is mounted,that's it, oh and a bedside table with lamp. Also no maid service, all for more than 350$ per night! Disappointed for the holiday left early. read more

My wife and I just spent our first visit to Nashville at the Germantown Inn. An absolutely fabulous Inn located in the Germantown district of Nashville which hosts some of the best restaurants in the city. It's about a 30 min walk to the activity and museums of Broadway, so also a good way to stroll through the city every day and retreat to a quiet neighborhood at the end of the day. We stayed in the Buchanan room located on the 1st floor. A very well decorated, spacious and comfortable room. Loved it. The InnKeeper, Veda is the consummate host. She was there to meet us at the door when we arrived and will do whatever she possibly can to make your stay memorable. She is the Best! The daily breakfast is a light assortment of pastry, fruit, yogurt, quiche, etc. along with awesome coffee. Great way to start each day. The daily 5:00 wine and cheese is a great way to relax before dinner as well. We will definitely be staying at the Germantown Inn on our next trip to Music City! read more
