First off, when we arrived last night, the personnel were so friendly and accommodating... Debbie at the front desk and then Val, who was just finishing her shift and she wanted to let Debbie know the status of things before she left for the night. Well, Val came back in when she noticed her license plate was from Pennsylvania and started talking to us about how much she loves the Philadelphia area and she was just so nice pleasant and thoughtful. My husband doesn't usually like chatting to strangers, but he even enjoyed the conversation with Debby and Val! Which says a lot! Our room was remarkable, clean well appointed the shower was perfect. The bathroom supplies were great. The location was fabulous. Nice inconvenient everything about this place really hit the mark! Even the coffee station in the morning was fully stocked and had real creamer! And I can't leave out the fact that we had our dog with us. Yes, Hampton Inn allows dogs, which was a real bonus on this trip because our four legged family member is traveling with us. Five stars!

You are surrounded by abandoned and ruined hotels next to a giant empty dead mall that needs to be torn down. Not only that, you are tucked away in the corner away from all amenities. Checking into the hotel was a giant hassle and the staff here were giving me a bit of an issue. Not only that , there is a gentleman that talks behind all of the customers backs and directs it to his coworkers right in front of his coworkers. I don't know if this guy is the manager or the handyman but this guy is absolutely unprofessional and should not be working here in the hospitality Department. He needs to keep his comments to himself. What I will say that is nice about this hotel that is only one star Worthy was that the room is very clean , the breakfast was actually pretty good and the lobby was actually clean as well and I thought welcoming despite it being surrounded by boarded up obscurity. I will never return to this place let alone the city of Elyria!

It is super affordable and offers great comfort. Of course, I only stayed one night as that's all I needed but it was a great one night. My room was clean and there was no smell despite what other reviewers had said. Looks like they fixed the bed bug problem too. Only grievance was that the bathroom door lock was broken but who cares, the main door lock worked and that's all that matters. The location might be a little sketch but what are you gonna do pick up the whole building and move? Good customer service from the girl at the front desk with a smooth check in. Also she's hot.

I guess the only downside is the location, not really near anything. We stayed here after a grueling day at Cedar Point, a 40 minute drive, and sooooooo worth it.

I had to move my stuff three times and it still isn't 75° and it's 1:20 AM. I didn't get the handicap room or the business suite like I paid for and the room I have now doesn't have a bathtub. While I appreciate being moved twice to try to rectify the problem this has left a terrible taste in my mouth mostly because of the other guests of course but it was totally unnecessary and very unfair to me. Because of your other guests, I don't feel safe in this hotel like I can't go out of the room without looking over my shoulder and I definitely can't go in the parking lot alone without being very vigilant. As a single woman traveling alone, this is absolutely unacceptable.
