They have both a restaurant and a bar downstairs by the front desk and the food is absolutely delectable. I could eat their onion rings all day every day! The rooms can be slightly pricey, but that's to be expected in a smaller town. I think the best value is with their jacuzzi rooms, which aren't much more expensive than standard rooms. Service is exceptional, as well. I've yet to meet someone there who isn't both respectful and kind. Since we live nearby, we frequently take the kids there to go swimming for a few hours. Again, a tad pricey, but better than a long trek out of town to a public pool. To add a bit of fun to the stay, some swear it's haunted! Do you believe in ghosts?

We only had one drink, she left the bill in the glass and never returned to cash us out. She knew we were only having one drink. We had to ask to be checked out and she never said thank you all she said was here's your card. Apparently she doesn't care about making money as her tip could've been doubled from the $2 we left her. Tips are still based on service not to be expected. No one said goodbye as we left. The establishment was mostly older people. The decor hadn't been updated in any way and felt like it has looked like this for many years which made it look tired and worn rather than the vibe of a thriving business. Historical doesn't necessarily mean run down.

The bed is very comfortable, although it is the lowest bed frame I've seen at a hotel. I thought everything was very clean. I actually loved the shower. It's a walk in, but more importantly the shower head is actually up high, so us tall people can actually shower comfortably. The only slight negative is the soap dispenser in the shower barely work. The other issue is the sound proofing could be better, you could hear everything in the hallway. Overall a 4 1/2 star review. Since I have to round, it's a positive 4 star. Would I return? Absolutely.

This is a very serviceable motel right off the main highway with cheap rates, clean, large rooms,…read morenice view of the meadow behind the motel, free WiFi, and free breakfast including make your own waffles. We had a room with 2 doubles that had a ton of space to spread out and toss your luggage but then the bathroom was really cramped with about 1-inch between the toilet and the bathroom door. Not a big deal but just not a well designed space. If you're looking for something with more character and charm, and in downtown then you should head to the Doherty. If you just need a place to sleep this'll do just fine. PS - The mural of leprechauns in the lobby/breakfast room is a little bit creepy. Not so much that you'll have nightmares but enough that you'll question why on earth someone painted it.

For example, they have torn the decorative edging wallpaper out of the room and not refinished or even repainted the wall. They were busy doing other projects like cutting out the decorations for the next holiday instead of focusing on the customer. I survived this trip, but would definately fin a new place to stay next time.

Food is reasonable. Free bottles of water for the soccer players, which was nice. Downside: It's been cold in the area and the heat in the room never went over 73 degrees even though it was set to 76 after hours at 74. The room was just always chilly. You'd think you could get a little relief from the shower, but no, it never got hotter than luke warm. Also the parking spaces are too small. It's fine for smaller sedans but not for trucks. Both sides of my car have scratches on it from people getting in and out of their trucks. Anyways, I've been to other hotels in the immediate area and I like them better; probably won't be back.

Extremely Disappointing…read more Very disappointing experience. At Soaring Eagle Resort Water Park Lodge. At approximately 1:30 AM, I had to wake up my 5-year-old, pack up our entire room, and move to another room because the thermostat was not working properly and the room became unbearably hot. Having to do this in the middle of the night with a young child was extremely inconvenient and unacceptable. I spoke with the manager, Chloe, who was rude and dismissive. After explaining the situation, I was told that 20% was all they were willing to offer and that there was no corporate office to contact because they are not a franchise. Considering what we went through, 20% is nowhere near an appropriate resolution. Things can go wrong at hotels, but how management handles those situations matters. Unfortunately, I felt completely let down by both the experience and the response from management. I would not recommend staying here.
