Good: The room itself was fine. Plenty of space and clean. People were friendly. Free breakfast…read morewith omelet bar. Bad: Lighting in bathroom was fit for a romantic evening not for knowing if your hands are clean or your makeup looks good. Any hotel room with two beds and a sofa bed - so can sleep 6 - should have two sinks! Only one here. The main problem is the elevator situation. This is an 8-floor hotel with approx 250 rooms and there are 3 elevators. And one wasn't working. So even with all three working properly, this is a huge pain. This isn't new. I was in the same hotel 6 years ago. Same elevator situation. I waited for 12 minutes to get on an elevator today and as we descended we stopped at every single floor - they were all waiting too - and of course no one from floor 3 to floor 6 could get in as it was already full from all the people on floors 7 and 8. Absolutely ridiculous to have such a situation. Should have been addressed years ago. Yes, there are steps. But not w luggage and kids.

This was by far the dirtiest hotel we stayed at during our 2-week cross-country road trip…read more The first room we were given had hair on the toilet seat, and the inside of the toilet bowl looked like it had not been cleaned at all after the previous guest. When I called the front desk, I was told there was nobody available to re-clean the room, so they moved us to another suite. The second room had a clean toilet, but there was a paper-thin connecting door to the neighborings suite and we could hear absolutely everything the neighbors were saying. It felt like they were in the same room with us. The carpet looked like it had never been properly cleaned -- it was sticky and visibly dirty, with candy wrappers, hair, food debris, stains, and even what looked like someone's cut toenails on the floor. The doors and surfaces were sticky and oily with visible fingerprints and grime everywhere. The bathroom mirror clearly had not been cleaned either, with visible toothpaste splatter and stains from previous guests. The only thing that appeared reasonably clean was the bedding, but even the bed frame/base had multiple stains, and the chair in the room was so heavily stained it looked disgusting. To make things worse, at 5 AM the upstairs neighbor turned on their bathtub, and the plumbing noise sounded like it was happening directly inside our bedroom. Very disappointing experience, especially for an Embassy Suites.

This place was amazing!!…read more The owners, Eric and Natalie, were awesome. They were so friendly and accommodating. Their dinner recommendation was perfect. Wanderlust Creativefoods was spectacular and within walking distance of the Morris Harvey House. The room was spectacular. I stayed in the Loft and had a great time. It was eclectic, quirky, and classy at the same time. The bed was super comfy. The town was awesome and Morris Harvey House was within walking distance of almost everything. I was very impressed by Fayetteville, WV. I highly recommend this place. It was the perfect stay after a full day in New River Gorge National Park. It is very close to the Canyon Rim Visitor Center. I woke up early and drove along the Fayette Station Road to see the sun setting over the bridge. Then went back to Morris Harvey House for an amazing home-cooked breakfast. The breakfast was amazing. Fresh coffee and orange juice with bacon and a pistachio waffle. Yum!! I had a great experience and will definitely be returning.

To top off ambiance they had old like 40's music playing. Really a gem in the heart of Fayetteville! Breakfast was perfectly light and tasty, staving off our appetites for a few hours while we went about our adventures! Its husband and wife owned and operated. If we pass through there again we would totally stay here again. Oh, and it's worth mentioning that their shower pressure will clean rust off of an old Harley! It was amazing and one of the highlights.

Safe future travels and many thanks again! Sincerely, Assistant General Manager Four Points by Sheraton Charleston Dear Assistant General Manager, I am already a Marriott Bonvoy member. I should further add that my Father, died at CAMC Memorial Hospital on Wednesday October 21st, 2026. I had phoned my Mother, to phone my Sister and her Husband to come immediately to the hospital on Wednesday morning. My Brother in Law drove my Mother, Sister, and himself from Southern WV so they could say their goodbyes to my Dad as he was failing. They arrived in time to do that very thing. I was exhausted, emotionally, physically, and pretty much in every way. I drove my Mother to your hotel that morning. I approached the front desk with my Mother. We were both crying and just wanted a room to collapse. The person at your front desk told me that they would not have a room ready until 3:00 PM. We sat in your lobby for about 1 hour figuring out eventually that even though I was in extreme fatigue, that I would drive my Mother back to Southern WV, and to not wait all day in a public lobby of a hotel that had already disappointed me greatly. I understand that you are running a very large hotel that sees many visitors and guests on a daily basis. I think you need to remember that those visitors and guests are human beings. With all of our frailties and superlatives. When a business stops seeing people as being people, you have failed at doing the very thing that you are supposed to do. Everything is so raw right now, but I do know that I will not forget that Wednesday, and how callous your front desk person was to my Mother and I. You should be ashamed. If you are like I imagine you are. This time I am taking to draft this message to you will demonstrate to you that changes must be made in your operations. Very Truly Yours, Hotel Guest
