The pool is made for kids for sure as it's not deep and the indoor playground is awesome for these cold winter overnight stays. Only downside to playground is that parents were allowing their kids to go to and from the pool (life jackets and all) to playground making slides and everything wet. Kids were slipping and falling and socks pants were getting wet from slides/floor. There were no 'do not disturb' signs to put on doors so housekeeping was knocking at 8am with checkout not being until 11am. I showered at 8am and had the water cranked all the way hot to only have a lukewarm shower. Those that showered after breakfast in our group had no warm water at all. Beds were great and sheets were super soft! Breakfast was typical holiday inn hot breakfast which is one reason we love holiday inn, so A+ to that! Would probably stay here again but would want to know if the water issue in shower was taken care of first.

The room and building as a whole were very clean, no complaints there. The bed and sheets are comfortable, but the pillows are fairly flat. The water pressure in the shower is incredible, but the shower curtain doesn't block it all. So, we had a permanent wet spot on the carpet just outside the bathroom door. The AC unit was incredibly quiet, we would have had no problem leaving it on high all night. Finally, breakfast was better than most, it runs from 6-10am.

I thought that it would be just a king bed, but it was more. They put a hold on your credit/debit card for a week or so. Good thing I had another card to pay for other expenses. Be sure to check your bill receipt first when you check out to make sure it's correct. My bill was supposed to be $133 dollars but they charged me $177! I complained about it because I was quoted $133. The nice lady on duty in the morning corrected my bill. And those prices had a AAA DISCOUNT. Geez that didn't help much for a lower price. They need to get more affordable motels there.

Staff was great at keeping food stocked and tables clean.

They have to try and make up for it cuz no one stays there except them the less all the other rooms are booked all the other hotels are booked . I question him about it and they said oh well I did not flush the toilet or I peed on the side of the toilet if you come to this town the other hotels are 100% better it has a bad reputation throughout the community and I would recommend sleeping in your car or in the field with coyotes this place is 90% vacant the whole week I was there maybe even more because of this and I don't know how they can afford to even keep the lights on

The hotel is very close to a Wal-Mart, a liquor store, a grocery store, and many restaurants. The only hiccup I've ever had at this hotel, is once I booked a room via the IHG app. The hotel ended up being overbooked, and I was not able to get a room when I attempted to check in. However, the manager apologized for the inconvenience, and he deposited points into my IHG Rewards Club account.

I found my stay here to be adequate. It was a bit pricey at well over $100 a night, but that is probably a function of my timing, which was at a very busy time for them. In fact, there were no rooms available for many of the days I was traveling. I dealt mostly with Donna, who was very accommodating and helpful in a stressful time when she seemed to be the only person working. She managed to keep breakfast stocked (a typical eggs and sausage affair) as well as manage the desk. My room was nice and left little room for complaint. On that note, the internet was very slow at times but overall that was not an issue.

Cards and gifts stolen throughout the evening and no follow through, empathy or apologies from event center. (They did now put in cameras. Make sure they are operating) Review your contract to make sure you are not over charged for beverages/beer not served. Make sure your guests are aware of all complimentary beverages from the bar. They do not promote or acknowledge them to your guests. This was experienced personally and by many family members and guests. Make sure that your guests are charged consistently and getting credit for what the drink tickets are actually worth. Employees family members are not invited guests with their children and stay through the entire event?? Make sure your guests are safe we had an unfortunate incident and security was questionable at the hands of those locking up. There were many pieces to the contract not met that were spoken, broken doors, areas not repaired, groomed as promised by event center manager. Bar manager rude to our kind guests and families of the couple. Wgtn needs the event center we are certain there are good staff there. When we posted "we need your help" (for info on stolen cards and gifts) on their site one manager posted a laughing emoji. Also posted negative comments of the couple on FB then removed. Private messages sent to family of couple. Unprofessional and inappropriate. We also had as parents of the bride had no suite?? I personally confirmed it 2x. What was to be a most special, blessing and day of love, still brings sadness and yes still blessed. Other couples reached out privately to let us know of their poor/some of the same experiences'as well. Many of the same, but never reported. Wgtn Event Center~ who ever manages your center and managers... Wgtn deserves better, as did our children. The day ceremony still special and beautiful but some clouds over some of our joy. Beautiful place and much needed. It took awhile to do this but it needs to be shared so it does not happen to anyone else. Thank you
