This place must've been remodeled very recently, it is VERY nice in both the lobby and the rooms! Beautiful bed linings, nice sized refrigerator & a microwave, coffee maker and safe in the rooms. Great flat screen TV, and super comfortable beds. We will DEFINITELY be back!!! read more

Don't let the fancy photography fool you. This motel is a mess! Although Quality Inn is a lower tier motel, we've actually stayed at some pretty nice ones. But this establishment doesn't put the quality in Quality Inn. You can't recharge your phone next to the bed, only way across the room which is a major pet peeve! The weak air conditioner struggles to combat the North Carolina humidity, making falling asleep in slightly moist, damp sheets very difficult. Despite using the proper network password and room number, we could not access the WiFi, which wasn't good because we had work that we needed to complete. We put food leftover from dinner in the room's fridge, only to wake up in the morning and realize the fridge had broken overnight and spoiled all the food. The pool was a little too gross to swim in. The rooms are incredibly dark with very little lighting, especially at night. It's just not a good hotel and we won't be staying again. read more

Bed bugs! Bed bugs! Bed bugs! Manager was rude, and only received credit for the remainder of the stay, not the first night, even though the bed was riddled with bedbugs! read more

The Rooms smell and are not clean. Not much else to say. Do not recommend......................

UNSAFE!! We stayed at Quality Inn in Black Mountain, NC, on 2025-3-22. The original room we were put in had an operable refrigerater. No biggie, we were moved to room 109. It was apparent when settling in that the door was difficult to lock, but we only learned the next morning when leaving for breakfast, it could appear locked and not be from the inside and out. As a sexual assault victim, this was terrifying to realize. Both Parth, the manager, and then the owner, refused a refund. If you value your safety, avoid Quality Inn in Black Mountain, NC. It's the first dangerous one I've ever stayed. Just horrifying to think what could have happened. read more

Worst hotel experience ever. They had construction going on and the workers decided to work loudly at 3 in the MORNING! We were in the room directly below them and couldn't sleep. When we confronted the GM at checkout we only got a 20 dollar discount. 20 dollars isn't enough to make me a happy customer. Who uses power tools and hammers at 3am at a HOTEL for goodness sakes?!? Never staying here again! Update: the GM emailed apologizing after my survey was posted. He says they were replacing outlet covers. I didn't know outlet covers required power tools and hammers. read more

Good for the price, close to Asheville. Front desk was not friendly. Breakfast was okay. Found 2 different bugs in room. read more

Like another guest reported a month ago....the room smelt awful. Old cigarettes, mildew, mold and/or damp? Not sure. I stayed here in early October and though I reported it the desk manager and was offered an alternate room...that too stunk! I originally wasn't going to review but after my conversation with that manager he clearly lied and said no one else has ever complained. Clearly, they have. This room was almost $180 - Holiday Inn would have bent backwards to rectify it. Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere. read more

This is a very basic hotel. I may be unfair giving just 3 stars because it does allow dogs and the room was clean but the smell in the room was terrible. I think it was coming from the ac vent but it was mold/mildew/damp. I told the manager the next day but they didn't offer to do anything for me regarding discount which would have been nice as the smell was really strong. The hotel was fully booked so I couldn't switch to another room. Its a good place to just come late & leave early. Definitely nothing worth hanging around for. read more

Clean, comfortable and convenient. The staff was helpful. Close to Ashville and Biltmore without the high price.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had 2 rooms one had a nice view of the mountains the other a view of the back parking lot. The bathroom left a lot to be desired. It was tiny and falling apart. When we came in last night there was a large group hanging out in the parking lot that had over flowed from a room downstairs. However, the night was mostly quiet and comfortable. The continental breakfast was terrible. A few tables shoved in a closed off corner and 2 literal6in the lobby. There was a pan with some sausage and eggs in front area and breads and cereals in closed off area. There were no plates only napkins and bowls. The counters were a mess. While I had a cup of tea the front desk man proceeded to fill the cereal bins touching the cereal with his bare unloved hands. He didn't even clean the messy counter. read more

Have stayed multiple times over the years, and each time the quality of the room has deteriorated while the price has increased. Chair cushions were stained, bedspread stained, shower head broken, reeked of smoke in a non-smoking room. This was our last time to stay there. read more

Pretty similar to most quality inns or comfort Inns. Furniture is a threadbare and stained. Carpet is dirty and frayed. Staff was pleasant and helpful, they just need to clean up and update the rooms. In pretty rough shape for the price of the rooms. read more

I've stayed in nicer hotels on the Mexico border for $40/nite. Where does this place get off charging $160/nite for this smelly dump?!?

The toilet was leaking & the floor was wet when we got to our room. Found the previous occupant's forgotten belongings in the dresser, got placed on the back of the building where there is ZERO access to the free wifi. Stained fabric everywhere. The second night we were there, our room started smelling like cigarettes. Why? Because we were OVER the smoking rooms. Why would you put smoking rooms on the lower level? Got to spend the entire evening smelling cigarettes. Not such a great experience. Guess we got what we paid for -- which is why I granted them two stars. read more

Stayed twice with terrible experiences both time. No maid service second time and rude customer service. Place is total dump but you would hope for some level of good service. Avoid at all costs. read more

We were staying in a non-smoking room and the smoke from the smoking rooms was coming into the room from the bathroom vent. There was no other rooms ,so we had to put towels at the door to keep the smoke out.The next day they gave us another room which was clean and smoke free.I will not stay here again. read more

Well to start with the number that I called directly from my GPS took me to central reservations. Ok, great! He was a nice guy and the first thing I asked was if this place was pet friendly. He said yes and then asked if we wanted a single king suite with a hot tub. I agreed and was happy to be able to relax after 10 hours of driving with our 28' camper in rain. Then we get here and not only was there no pet friendly suites with hot tubs, they have only one bus/extra large parking space that was being occupied by a truck only a third of the size the space is. There are plenty of other spaces that truck could have fit in. The very rude receptionist then told us we would have to park our truck and camper across the street at an abandoned restaurant and out of our view. Then while trying to turn our truck and trailer around in their very small parking area she comes out and makes quite a few ignorant comments including "I could have told you how to turn it around the right way". So we ended up with a 2 queen handicapped room in the back of the building and our truck w/trailer across a main road with a cracked tail light! She refused to even make an attempt to ask the customer to move their truck out of the oversized spot. And as I type this there has been a man sleeping in his truck directly behind our truck and camper over at the abandoned restaurant. So much for a nice relaxing restful night! Never again will I stay here and I have already posted to my wall so the word gets spread about this place. I should have read more of the reviews before I made this reservation. Oh wait. There's more. My husband just told me that she also told him we were not allowed to take up multiple spaces...but it's ok for someone else to use a space that's way to big! I guess we should have just been rude and not even asked! read more
