roaches
Mollygrace H.

we found roaches in our room and asked politely to change rooms and the kid working did and was nice, until the next morning when the general manager named Ron stopped us as we were coming in from a work job. He was upset we made him lose a 100 dollars by down grading our room in the middle of the night. I understood but we were paying him 1500 in total for 20 something nights. He then started screaming at me and my boyfriend, he wouldn't let me say one word he talked over every single word i said that entire time. As we were all getting frustrated he kicked us out saying he didn't want our type of people staying there even though for at least 10 minutes i was trying to explain how we aren't that type of people and we would usually never complain about things but THEY HAVE ROACHES CRAWLING UP THE WALLS AND ON THE GROUND , the customer service is the worst i've ever ever experienced by far, He got up in my face and pointed his finger at me and shushed me like a dog. Wasn't wearing a mask anytime i ever saw any of the staff even during a global pandemic. When he was in my boyfriends face he said he "wasn't going to hit him" that was scary. I heard him kick out a mother and kids in the middle of the night for the same petty reason. His name is Ron he's the general manger and says he's also the owner idk about that, Moral of the story if you're gonna stay here make sure you don't expect friendly workers, clean rooms, or to be safe where you sleep during a global pandemic

My 13 year old daughter found this on her when she was sleeping.we checked under her mattress and located another bed bug.

This trip was just ok - that's why the the 3 stars . Pool was closed because choline was too strong - then it opened up and my blue shorts changed color to purple and my son got a rash- other than that the pool is nice size and not too cold 3rd floor near 302 and 303 has like 6 people staying in one room and garbage left in hallway between the strong smell of what smelled like weed and fried chicken - our hallway stank!!! Smell came through the doors to our room - really not a fan of weed smell and I love fried chicken but wow how can it smell that strong - lol Cleaning peoples cart was on the floor but they - haven't cleaned room or even told us they don't clean rooms while guests here - I guess COVId really changed things - you would think that they would want it better cleaned then less cleaned. A little Disappointed this stay, But we will try again next year because the staff we have met ( typically day shift) has been extremely nice. We just wish we were told about house keeping.

Our room was not serviced the 2nd day and it was too late to have it done so we had asked to have towels brought. We asked in the morning, then again in the afternoon. Each time the lady desk attendant assured us they would be brought- not. Returned from the wedding and again saw no towels. The evening person finally brought the towels - he apologized. The only reason not to give it one star is because of the room size for the price and also the good location.

Our initial stay was 2 nights for our wedding anniversary which was over Thanksgiving; this…read moreextended over to 4 nights. My wife is disabled and travels with a small service dog who is always vested, carries an ID card, and is registered and certified; this was noted in our online booking. This was our first stay at any B&B of *any* size; in the past two years we've spent 36 nights at hotels both independent and branded. The room we stayed in, the Moose Room, is very well-equipped with exquisite attention to detail. The bed was pleasure to sleep in and had the most comfortable sheets we've ever encountered in a hotel room. A two-person Kohler whirlpool tub is in the main room. We were astounded at how quickly the tub filled and we were never short of hot water. The shower has a very inexpensive nozzle on it; a removable or rainfall style showerhead would be more befitting the quality of the rest of the room. I can say that Tausheck's is an extremely high quality facility with extreme attention to detail and very comfortable rooms. The Tausheck's should be commended for the quality of the B&B. Unfortunately, I can't say we will be back since we now know that this isn't the type of place for us given our unique situation, which probably doesn't apply to you. If you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway in the "greater Sheboygan" area, I'd highly recommend Tausheck's and think you'd have a great time there. --postscript-- My previous review (which I edited and have subsequently raised the rating to three stars) dealt with some exchanges with the innkeepers specific to accommodating my spouse's service dog. Given that this was the first time that the innkeepers dealt with a service dog in their 12 years of existence, they did accommodate us the best they could with the knowledge they had at the time. We learned after our stay that inns of this size are exempt from the Americans with Disabilities Act as there are 5 or fewer rooms - see 28 C.F.R. § 36.104. This wasn't known to us, or the innkeepers at the time of our stay, so it's unfair for me to dive into the specifics. That being said, I hope that the B&B's web site is revised to reflect this so that any other guests having a similar situation to ours are aware in advance and can make the appropriate decision.

The room (Timber Trails) we stayed in was very nice having a comfortable king bed and large shower. The breakfasts each day were delicious and prepared with a personal touch with one day offering a customized omelette and another ending the meal with a delicate homemade cheesecake! There is an easy trail in the woods around the house to take a walk on and we were able to enjoy a cozy fire pit at night. Finally, the spa has a variety of offerings (steam room, jacuzzi, massages, etc.) and we were able to relax with a soothing couples massage that was well worth it. The location works well as it is only a short drive to downtown West Bend which offers a good selection for meals and shopping. It is also to the Shalom Wildlife Zoo which surprisingly offers a wide variety of animals to observe and take part in a large petting zoo section as well. Overall, we highly recommend Hidden Serenity and appreciate the wonderful experience that Sally and Chris put together that we were able to enjoy.

We enjoyed the spa time without electronics. I couldn't do many of the heated features but I really enjoyed just reading in the window seat and my husband really enjoyed all of it. We also enjoyed hiking along the trail around the property and the questions that were on signs as we walked. And it was so much fun to come home in the evening and see the fire pit aglow and get to sit around that and talk with other guests. And then there is the breakfast. It is AMAZING! Such a nice set up with the owners sharing their special ingredients that are homegrown or made by fresh produce. I would come back for the food alone! We stayed in the quiet oaks room and enjoyed it immensely. The heated bathroom floors, the record player, the mirrored TV (we didn't use it but thought it was so clever), comfortable bed, and the overall ambiance. We live in the city of chicago and the drive was very easy and a totally manageable distance. We definitely hope to be back and make this a regular getaway for ourselves!
