Laneeeeeeeeh D.

So you finally get engaged. After years of planning your imaginary wedding on Pinterest and "liking" every single bridal and engagement photo on Instagram, your beau finally got down on one knee and asked the question you've been waiting for since were 4 years old (oh, that's just me?). As I stare, mesmerized by the glistening rock on my finger while trying to ignore those how will we afford it woes, I know that a beautiful wedding is possible & well within our reach, regardless of our budget. After all, there are a TON of wedding DIY's, articles and Pinterest boards that are oh-so helpful - right?! Yes, they provide endless tips necessary for planning a wedding but if you're anything like me - where wedding planning turns into a drinking session while lying in a fetal position wondering why I don't have "Martha Stewart & David Tutera skills" on my resume, things can get overwhelming, FAST. Since eloping wasn't an option for us (ha!) and I wanted a wedding Pinterest worthy, we decided to hire and collaborate with a Wedding Planner / Designer to bring our wedding inspiration to life. And boy, I am glad we did. And through great & trusted recommendations, we found Quality Events Design. I definitely had the vision. I just needed help enhancing & executing it. I don't think they've invented enough words to express how grateful I am for this team. Hiring & Collaborating with Chrissy and Jess was probably one of the best decisions we've ever made as a couple, period. The highest-budget weddings can be intimidating to plan - so it stands to reason that it would be even more so when the budget is drastically limited. And like most brides, I had the most expensive taste but had such a modest budget. My husband (blushing) had to keep reminding me that I was not Beyoncé, therefore I needed to stop doing the most. Chrissy and Jess couldn't have planned and executed a better wedding for us. From connecting us with THE MOST AMAZING vendors such as our Videographer (Dax Victorino Films), to keeping me sane when I started asking and saying things like "Do I really have to feed my guest? I am sure once they see our décor they'll forget how hungry they are" - to making me feel at ease considering our venue was 4.5 hours away and it was a destination wedding. They truly made MY (our, I mean our) wedding dreams come to life. From beginning to end, they took meticulous care of each and every detail. Chrissy and Jess and their ENTIRE team executed the most magnificent wedding I've ever seen in my 37 years of existence (and no, I am not being biased because it's my wedding). This is all based on endless weddings I've attended and me binge watching all of the wedding shows known to mankind on TLC. Our family and friends kept saying how amazing our wedding was. And they were right - It was so dreamy and such a fairytale. It was so "style me pretty / pinterest" beautiful. There aren't enough words to describe how STUNNING it was. You simply had to be there to understand. QED should be on every newly engaged couples vendor list regardless of which part of the globe you're from. You can thank me later. Trust me, I am always right - just ask my new husband.

Oh. My. Goodness! The bouquet that Christina Perry created for my daughter was EXACTLY what we had hoped for! The flowers for the bridal party were just perfect as well :) Christina is very personable and accommodating. She went out of her way to meet with both my daughter and I on separate occasions and she really knew how to take what she heard and make the finished product magical! I recommend this talented lady for your floral needs! Contact info: Phone: 775- 843-2077 Website: http://www.qualityeventdesign.com/

Chrissy and Jessica are FANTASTIC. We hired them for flowers, rentals, decorations, and coordination, and all I can say is that our wedding was - quite literally - perfect. Oh, and also, it was the "best wedding ever" per everyone who came. We're talking over 300 people, with a vision for an outdoor music festival-feel, rose and whiskey tasting bar, bud bar, donut bar, s'mores around the fire, and a general feeling of being at a Coachella wedding. They executed flawlessly - the colors, materials, design, and placement of everything was so beautiful (see the pics). More importantly, though, they made us FEEL at ease. There was a LOT of stress in planning a wedding this big, outdoors, and with a specific vision, all while coming in on budget, and Chrissy really went the extra mile to make us feel like everything was under control. She got out local vendors whipped in to shape, because of her strong relationships with them, and kept us calm in the week leading up to the wedding AND on the wedding night, so we could enjoy it as much as possible. If you're having a wedding in the Reno-Tahoe area, I cannot recommend highly enough!!

Jessica is very organized, detailed oriented and knowledgeable about everything wedding that she made the whole wedding planning thing seem easy! My fiance and I were so impressed after the initial consultation and knew we had to have her as our planner. Right after we booked OUATE, my fiance and I had a meeting with Jessica and basically told her everything we wanted, what we didn't want and what we dreamed of having but didn't think we could afford. She also had us fill out a questionnaire to get a sense of our style, get to know us and get an idea of what we envision for our dream wedding. After reviewing everything we gave her, she created a design board with everthing we had talked about. I loved how we got to go thourgh and point out what we liked and what we didn't like. This gave us a great sense of what our wedding was going to look like. Since I had a very hard time picking a theme and staying with that direction, this really helped me get on track and focus on one thing at a time. This also really helped me stop stressing and feeling overwhelmed and let me enjoy the wedding planning process. As a bride, I knew I wanted to be involved in the fun stuff but not the boring, budget related stuff. Jessica was amazing at handling all the stuff I didn't want to do or did not know how to do. We gave her our total budget and she planned around that very well and helped us stay on track. She also did all of the orders (which were a ton since we had our wedding at private estate and had to bring everything in) and delt with the most of our vendors. She has a great working relationship with a ton of wedding vendors in Reno that she was able to get things done and get them done fast! And she had wonderful recommendations for our wedding vendors. We loved them all! During the whole wedding planning process Jessica and her sister, Cassie kept us on track and made sure we were getting things done when they needed to be done. I loved how they took all of my ideas and wishes and made them happen without any questions. The whole time, they were professional but so nice and fun to work with! It made wedding planning a lot of fun! The day of the wedding, I had absolutley nothing to worry about. I sat in the house and got ready while Jessica, Cassie and her team set everything up and dealt with all the vendors. The wedding was not too big but the whole production of it was a lot! We had a ton of flowers, a fire pit, a dessert bar, photo booth, a lounge and a ton of details such a signage and personalized items. Jesssica and her team were so organized and executed everything PERFECTLY! It was above and beyond anything I had even imagined. They took my vision to the next level and made it better than I could had ever wished for. Jessica and Cassie kept the wedding on track the whole night and everything went off witthout a hitch. My husband and I nor our wedding party or family had to lift a finger, it was amazing! We got to spend our time enjoying ourselves while OUATE delt with everything else. Jessica, Cassie and the entire OUATE team are amazing!! They made planning our wedding an absolute joy and I would HIGHLY recommend them for wedding and party planning. If I plan another event you can be sure I will be booking Jessica and her team to help

I could go on for days raving about their service -- this team was genuine, kind, understanding and PATIENT. We were also impressed with their pricing - it was affordable and their wedding packages just make sense! I also love that they had great vendors to recommend as well. Special shout-out to Rachel who they brought in as our photographer (her work is INCREDIBLE). Seriously love this team and cannot recommend them enough! We originally opted for a courthouse wedding, but quickly realized we wanted to do more to honor our beautiful seven-year relationship and include the people who mean most to us. THIS is where The Hytch came in and created a PERFECT day for us, our daughters (one human, one canine), and 19 of our closest loved ones. From the start, Gina was a warm and knowledgeable coordinator. She covered every detail I hadn't thought of and provided creative options at every turn. She enthusiastically accommodated every unique idea I threw at her, as long as it was anything short of impossible! Leading up to the wedding, I spent most of my time pinning down the details of our music playlist, outfits, and vows. Any other stressor was out of mind and covered by Gina; at most, it just required a quick answer on what would work best for my husband and me. Day-of, though?! Oh my god. Beyond! This team KNOWS what they're doing. I showed up a little later than I had hoped (typical), and they supported me in regaining time to prepare like the true pros they are. Gina and Mackenzie handled EVERYTHING--most of it being invisible to me, I'm sure. They totally GOT my vision and created an event that I still can't believe was real. I honestly think they could become professional cat herders if they wanted to--they're that amazing! As our officiant, Darren helped ease our nerves with humor and liveliness. He took every note we gave him to heart and delivered a service that our guests said was THEIR FAVORITE CEREMONY EVER!!! Of course I'm biased, but our family and friends have a history of being brutally honest. I can tell you it was definitely our favorite wedding ever, though. And then there is the GLORY that is Ashleigh, our photographer. She took the art (I'm calling my wedding art!) we created with the help of Gina, Mackenzie, and Darren and turned it into something we can keep and share forever. You know how sometimes you wish you could SHOW your dreams to other people? If anyone can work magic like that, it's Ashleigh. On a slightly more grounded note, this was our first time doing a couples' shoot. I don't think I've had professional photos done since school, and of course I spent a lot of time fretting over how I would look. I went into this feeling a little anxious, a little insecure, and a lot clueless. If that's you: do NOT worry! Ashleigh has your back and will turn you into a supermodel. Like I said... magic. My final shout-out goes to the venue itself. For us, it being local was a huge plus. Reno is home, and Sierra Water Gardens is very close to our actual house! I'm usually very expressive, but there's just no point in trying to describe the beauty of the SWG spot. It's breath-taking. Thank you to the whole team for your incredible work and the shining personalities you shared with us. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate in what has become my favorite spot in Reno (and maybe the world?). There is a reason The Hytch has such good reviews. If I hear the words "wedding planning" ever again, I'm going to MAKE SURE The Hytch enters the conversation. They will give you the wedding you want, and deserve! Kylie and Ryan -- Married 4.18.26

3 stars for the business. 5 stars for Sierra and Robin! Overall, I was very happy with how my…read morewedding turned out. There were some hiccups along the way, but overall, a pretty smooth event. Initially, I was not planning to have a day-of planner because my wedding was at Round Hill Pines, and staff does about 90% of set up. The only thing I really needed help with was decorations. I had enough family and friends willing to help; however, I was going to be 7 months pregnant during the wedding, and I didn't want the added stress of assigning duties to my family and friends and making sure they knew what time to be where, and what to do. Anyway, I hired Plan Your Day, and I was paired up with Sierra. Sierra is awesome. Super approachable, friendly, easy to communicate with, and great to work with. Unfortunately, I had to postpone my wedding due to the Caldor Fire. Sierra said they would roll over my payment to a future date, which was great. Then I am informed in early December 2021 that I'd need to provide a date for my rescheduled wedding by December 31, 2021, or I'd be charged $1,000, or my agreement would be terminated. This was not how the contract is worded. I was rescheduling my wedding, and the Event Rescheduling provision says, "If Client(s) reschedules the Event Date, written notice must be given to the Planner of Client(s)' intention to reschedule the Event Date and if known, identify the new date for the Event ("Rescheduled Event Date")." The contract says, "if known" and I didn't know what the new dates would be when we rescheduled because there was a huge fire in the area. Sharae informed me that she gave me a courtesy of 4 months to provide a new date for my wedding, but the Rescheduling provision does not say when I needed to provide the "rescheduled event date." The contract says, "If Planner is unavailable to perform the Services for the Rescheduled Event Date, then it will be deemed a Termination by Client(s) as outlined below." Either way, Sharae gave me 2 options: A.) Since you have asked for an extension through January or February to provide dates for a rescheduled 2023 wedding. Without a signed written agreement or modified agreement containing 1-2 dates that the wedding will be postponed to, on January 1, 2022, your contract will be considered terminated. But, a new contract will be introduced, signed, and an additional $1000 retainer fee will be applied towards your new event date. This new contract will be signed and due by January 1st to allow for the extended time frame to provide 1-2 rescheduled dates. B.) Without a signed written agreement or modified agreement containing 1-2 dates that the wedding will be postponed to, on January 1, 2022, your contract will be considered terminated and no additional services will be provided. OOOK....with my newly acquired mommy brain, basically, if I didn't have a signed agreement by New Years, I'd either lose my $2,200 that I had already paid or need to pay an additional $1,000. No thank you! I rescheduled my wedding before Sharae's New Years deadline. Fast-forward to 2023 and I'm working with Sierra again, which I was happy about. She was great to work with again, but she seemed to have a lot on her plate. I wasn't too concerned because I had been in close contact with all my vendors already, so I was mainly relying on Sierra for decorations and the ceremony. Unfortunately, Sierra informed me that she would not be there for my wedding, but she did provide me with an amazing replacement - Robin. I was a bit nervous because I never met Robin until the wedding rehearsal, and I didn't know what her background was in event coordination. Robin is superwoman! She handled the flow of the ceremony and kept the wedding events on schedule. A few of the place settings got mixed up, but it wasn't a huge deal. I was also supposed to have 2 people staff my wedding from Plan Your Day, but Sierra said the other person was not available and they could not find a replacement. The issue with that is I paid for 2 vendor meals for Plan Your Day, at $90 per head, and it was too late to deduct a meal. Would I recommend Plan Your Day to others? Unfortunately, I can't say I'd highly recommend Plan Your Day to others, as a business, but I would mention them as a worthwhile company to consider. Did Robin do a fantastic job? Absolutely! I'm not sure if she is a regular employee of Plan Your Day, but I'm glad she was there for my big day!
