Crooked Beech was one of those breweries that I hadn't tried yet. I had the Gratitude, an American Light Lager which was okay but not all that memorable unfortunately. Flavor highlights to look for with this beer are watery, hoppy, yeasty and juicy. But to be honest I mostly detected the watery aspect and the yeasty aspect and had a hard time picking up the other characteristics. The beer is also very light bodied so if you do enjoy this beer then it's not too much of a stretch to have another. Excuse on the blurry picture. I took the shot without double checking as there were a lot of breweries to try out this particular day I paid a visit to Crooked Beech.

Was able to hook up into 20 amp power which was helpful to run my air conditioner as it was still hot in early October. All the staff at the brewery were incredibly friendly and helpful. The tasting room is well laid out with community tables and a bar. There's about a dozen chairs in front of the Aleworks on fourth Street, and a relatively large and comfortable patio/beer garden with tables in the back. My dog was very welcome and treated well by patrons and staff. My first night there I tried a really nice Belgian Tripel and a Pastry Dough Stout. Both were excellent, particularly the Tripel which stacks up well with beers I had while living in Belgium. I also sampled the large, soft Bavarian pretzel with both spicy mustard and beer cheese. I think they also have some pizza available and they encourage people to bring in food from some of the popular restaurants on their block. There was something going on there every night I stayed. Sunday night the beer garden was pretty crowded, and Monday night. The tasting room was crowded as there's a regular group of runners that finishes up in front of Loveland and comes inside to get rehydrated. If you're in the charming town of Loveland, a visit to the Aleworks should be on your list of things to do.

Consistence is the key of their success - in their exquisite Asian flavors and great customer service. Their Asian food is never too salty, and never bland. If you got a little-miss-red-riding-hood in your family, she will make herself right at home in this wonderful restaurant where everything is "just right." I see tons of people coming in for their savory chicken dish, for their Pho dishes, for all of their Asian-meat-flavored sandwiches on a delicious croissant or light bread, and people flocking in here too especially for their dessert slushy drinks and boba teas. Here are the only two problems i can find with this place: 1. Their dining hall is a bit too small for their popularity; and can get crowded in here, but i see how many people get it "to go." 2. This is the only location in this county. They definitely need another location here in northern CO, of Larimer County or in Weld County. As my family and I sit down to eat, it is obvious to us that the owners and employees highly value every customer that walks through their doors. It has such a laid back atmosphere - perfect for our Saturday night date night. Our server, Sonia, was amazing! So friendly and fun - very attentive without being overwhelming. She was so helpful and answered all our questions about the menu and restaurant. We decided to share the nachos and the prime rib stroganoff and it was the perfect combo! The nachos were cheesy and flavorful and the stroganoff (which was thoughtfully split for us into two separate bowls) was so creamy and yummy with lots of prime rib. Per our server's suggestion, we finished our meal with the Sopapilla Cheesecake... OMG! Not too much cheesecake, a flaky pastry bottom and a crispy, cinnamon-y top layer. SO GOOD. We had a little weather early on, and they help us flow into the inside space and offered all kinds of help. Fortunately the weather brightened up and guests were able to fully enjoy the fire pit, corn hole, and the live music (solo artist who did great covers!). Great variety of drinks, food truck was perfect, and many of our guests shared how much they loved the space and the vibe. It was everything I could have hoped for and more.
